3 eggshell pieces after eating a bite of cake that I removed from my mouth.
Melody S.

Eggshells in cake!!!!! :( My girlfriend ordered me a vanilla cake, with strawberries and whipped cream frosting. It was beautiful and tasted great, until I bit into an eggshell. You can see the pieces I spit out of my mouth. I have issues with textures and crunching on an eggshell makes the whole cake taste ick now. Such a bummer because I threw over half the cake out. I don't bake professionally but I've always been taught to crack eggs in separate bowl to ensure no shells. This is like baking 101! Super disappointed. But if you like eggshells this is your place. Otherwise go somewhere else. Was going to give two stars because it was pretty and first bite tasted good, but eggshells are such a downer and knowing how much the cake cost and how much we wasted I couldn't do anything above a single star.

Looked good but waited too long to order anything. Just left. But it still looked pretty good though options were limited.

The bakery store is literally located in Westchester, and there's limited parking in the rear, shared with other merchants. All the pastries are made in house, and they serve seasonal special items like Halloween themed cookies. The cashier is friendly and patient, and they offer cash discount. I've had their Florentine cookie, sugar flower cookie, and peach pie, generally great.

I popped in here for the first time after running other errands in the area and Westchester Bakery is a solid OG bakery! Not a huge space or a tone of frills but delicious and delectable old school pastry options along with some delicious looking pies and other sweet treats. The employees were super friendly and thoughtful with packaging and I would definitely pop in here again for some sweet treats!!

White Cake, fresh pineapple + Vanilla filling.

Absolutely love this place. A calm, small, clean & inviting bakery with friwnnldy staff. Plenty of trades readily available. I can appreciate the filling custard options available. I brought in a photo of a cake for Inspo, and it was executed perfectly! Thank You Westchester Bakery for not only the quick next-day turn around, but doing so with the best customer service ever!

Love this bakery. We come her all the time and for all birthdays they make the best cakes. We get the macarons, éclairs and more

SoulTrain cake

I ordered a themed SoulTrain marble cake. The cake melted in my mouth! Everyone was impressed. Unfortunately, they couldn't make the cake topper I wanted, so I ordered a cake topper from Amazon. Other than that, I would order again. Pricing was reasonable. Thank you Westchester Bakery for making my 50th birthday celebration memorable. I wanted to give 4.5, (points off for cake topper) but no half star rating available!

7in cake This is my first time ordering a cake from here haven't tried it but when I got home I noticed the cake was lopsided and it looks like the inside filling is coming out

Went to order a chocolate First Communion cake for my daughter, and a vanilla cake for non-chocolate fans. They never disappoint. I also showed them a picture of an adorable nature/whimsical cake I found online that I wanted, with no qualms, they duplicated it beautifully. Won't post a Pic of that, I'm not sure if there are Baker Covenants, or copyrights, but they did a tremendous job. The First Communion Cake was their idea. Both cakes were delicious, and absolutely perfect.

Ordered a cake for my sons first birthday. I thought the design looked pretty good and overall was happy about it, unfortunately couldn't really say the same about the taste. The frosting especially on the cupcakes tasted very artificial and the cake just basic, nothing really much exciting about it. It was their marble cake with buttercream and it somewhat tasted like something from a box. For 190$ I think it was quite underwhelming. Definitely was a pretty cake but won't come back due to how it tasted.

Took a stroll through Westchester Center while my car was getting fixed and stumbled upon Westchester Bakery. I've heard good things about this small neighborhood bakery and it did not disappoint. I ordered a caramel cappuccino, a cinnamon apple pastry, and this chocolate chip and Oreo cookie. The coffee was very tasty with the perfect amount of caramel. The cookie was extremely soft and satisfying and the combo apple danish was very good with an apple pie style apple slice in the middle. This bakery definitely satisfied my pastry craving. The staff was friendly and very welcoming as I walked in as well.

Graduation Cake
Susan F.

Just want to say how amazing this place is and what a deliciously incredible white cake with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and custard. I needed a half sheet graduation cake for a 1 day turnaround. I called Friday afternoon for a Saturday noon pickup. Jose was nice enough to accommodate my last minute order and it was a lot cheaper, for a much better cake, than some other well known bakeries nearby. Anyway, took it down to Orange County for the party and everybody was in love with the cake and raved about the cake and how they decorated it. Definitely a top notch bakery and will be a go to for events! Thank you to all at Westchester Bakery!!!

Plain croissant

I just moved in the area and decided to give this bakery a try. Everything was great, service, ambiance, etc. except for the croissant or something called that name I had..omg it was stale and a little bit on the salty side. I had to throw it away. Forget about it being flakey, more of being 'bready' in my opinion. Now, I dnt like to write negative reviews about small businesses, but wow, that croissant left a bad taste in my mouth, literally. Luckily, it wasn't expensive!! But then, I'd still give them another chance, maybe that's not their speciality. I haven't tried their other items. Hope they won't be stale though.

About how long does it take to get a response if we send an email? Or, what's the best way to place an order? I'm trying to do it by email but I'm afraid my emails are not getting to them.

When I first emailed them (on a Tuesday), they answered. I emailed them back and got no answer, so I called. I spoke with a woman who said that the decorator was out and she would make sure that he returned my call when he returned. No call back. I…

I've been a regular at Dulce for quite some time now, so much so the staff greet me warmly when I come in and already know what my order will be from drinks to food. I would love to highlight each and every one of their staff but by that point I would just be listing all their employees. I love how quickly they tend to customers, even when the line is egregiously long (mostly mornings, lunch, and weekends) they are so kind and helpful. Their service never falters. My favorite drink is their popular blueberry matcha (I love it with oat milk). Its sweet but not too sweet and perfect for people who want a little something different than just plain matcha. Even people who I know who don't normally enjoy matcha love this matcha. They also have a variety of good pastries that my family gets by the box. My personal favorite is the snowcat roti. For when I'm hungry for a meal I usually grab the pastrami sandwich its delicious but make sure you go before the kitchen closes at 6pm for a hot meal. There are plenty of seating indoor and outdoor with umbrellas and tables. You usually spot people with a laptop or sketch book or just hanging at the tables with friends. Overall, an amazing cafe located at the heart of Little Tokyo. I'd argue at this point its definitely a tourist destination if you're visiting for the first time!

It's also been all over TikTok and other social media, and from what we could see it's pretty controversial, so we were curious which side we'd land on. My wife and I ordered the chocolate chip cookie and a coconut crunch cookie, or something like that. We knew going in that these are thicker cookies, but once we actually looked at them and tasted them, I would not consider this a cookie at all. To me it's way more of a scone than a cookie. The density and thickness are not a cookie by any means, and we were not impressed. The flavor just wasn't there either. There are also way too many chocolate chips in the chocolate chip cookie, and the coconut one was pretty mild on flavor. For the price you pay, the cookie versus the flavor versus the quality just did not add up. I don't understand if there's hype about this place or what, and I can see why there's controversy over whether these are good cookies, bad cookies, or cookies at all. We even tried to heat them up back at home to see if that would relax the density of these things, and did not do a thing besides just make them crunchy and harder to eat. I lean toward the side that this is not a cookie joint. It's more of a scone or bakery joint. We were thoroughly disappointed, we probably won't come back, and honestly I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a cookie spot.

Once I found out there was going to be a Kuromi themed collab here I had sure to mark my calendar,…read moreso I've been looking forward to this! The collab started today and will last until the 31st. The store opens at 7am , but even though I got there around 8:30 and there was no line they still managed to sell out of a majority of the limited edition Kuromi themed pastries. Which was a little heart breaking, but also understandable. I ended up ordering the Kuromi Berry lemonade and some of their more popular items like the D Tia Blue (blueberry/cream cheese filled pastry) and the Japanini. Everything hit the spot as expected, but the highlight of my visit was definitely that berry lemonade! It had the perfect sweet to sour ratio and it looked very whimsical with its purple hue. I'll definitely be back to order that again and maybe I'll have better luck next time with the availability of the limited edition pastries. It wasn't as busy as it typically gets so took advantage of the opportunity and I dined in. During my visit I adored the Kuromi decor around the story. It was definitely picture worthy. They also have the cutest merch available for sale and of course I bought a sticker sheet to add to my sticker collection. The workers also wore pretty purple Kuromi hats and aprons, which is also included in their merch for sale fyi. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these.
