I've had the same night guard for 20 years and it recently got loose so I thought perhaps that was causing the pain. Got fitted for a new night guard. The dental assistant had some attitude, and it seemed she was talking down to her other coworkers. Since I was a new patient, the dentist asked that I transfer over the x-rays I had done at my former dentist. She said her office could help with that. After a few unnecessary calls and mails from her office, they finally were able to obtain my x-rays. Honestly, would have been easier if I had handled this request myself..... The night guard did not help my tooth pain, so I went into the office again. The dentist said I had gum erosion and needed to have my tooth bonded. I've never had a single tooth problem so I had no idea what this meant and should have done my research before agreeing to the procedure. Dentist didn't tell me how to care for myself after the procedure. I'm type A so looked up what I needed to be done for the next 48 hours. After two weeks I still was having pain from the procedure on top of the normal tooth pain I already was having. Was told by the dentist sometimes teeth are just sensitive, and nothing was wrong. I also noticed after my procedure that my new night guard didn't fit anymore. I told the dentist about this, and she said that isn't normal which come to find out it is TOTALLY normal and should have been mentioned to me before I did the procedure. I questioned if doing the bonding for my tooth was really necessary and was blown off and told to come back in a week if I was still in pain. Still was in pain so went back into the office again. Was told I would be meeting with a different dentist this time and they would be taking over my case....... She suggested that I go to an endodontist to see if I would need a root canal. We did a fitting again to correct my new mouth guard. Went to the Endodontist and he said my tooth was fine. Two weeks went by, and I still haven't heard back from the office that my night guard was ready. I called the office and was told they were going to look into in and call me back. The next day I still hadn't gotten a call so I called again. The person I spoke with story wasn't matching and just sounded that they were trying to cover up for the fact that they forgot about my night guard. I finally went in for a second fitting. Guard was still a bit off. By this point I'm over this whole experience and cancelled my next cleaning because I won't be doing business with this place every again.

Typically an "unconfirmed appt" per a dr office, is when the patient submits an appt request online, and the office must confirm availability. For a patient to make an appt directly and then that not be considered a confirmed appt, makes no sense. Additionally I have no doubt that if I did not show up today, I would have been charged the $150 no show fee, which wouldn't make much sense, if the appt was never confirmed in the first place, but how convenient for you. Your spam texts are written as "reminder for your upcoming appt" (pic below in case you haven't actually read them), which sounds pretty damn confirmed. Might want to change that to "I know you made an appt weeks ago but until you take additional time out of your day and press #1 to confirm, we will cancel your appt without telling you, book someone else in your slot, and then hope you don't show up so we can charge you $150 in no-show fees for an appointment that we'll pretend was never confirmed in the first place if you actually do show up ".

I have been a patient here for nearly 15 years and they have become so awful in the last year. The…read moreway their practice is run and the way they treat their patients is really unacceptable. Although there have been many issues, the biggest one recently is in the last 4 months, I have attempted 3 different times for my semi-annual teeth cleaning. My first attempt was 4 months ago, where I had made the appt 6 months in advanced. I called them at 4:50 letting them know I was running 5 minutes late for my 5pm appt and they said no problem. After waiting 45 minutes in the waiting room, I asked them how much longer. They said at least 30 minutes and it was my fault since I had been 5 minutes late to the appt. I said I would need to reschedule since I needed to pick up my kids from daycare by 6. The soonest appt they had for me to reschedule was 6 weeks later since they are only at the Tampa office 1 day a week. 6 weeks later on the day of my rescheduled appt I got a text from them 2 hours before telling me they needed to move my appt from 5pm to 4pm because I needed xrays. My original appt had been at 5pm so I'm not sure why all the sudden they felt they would need additional time with me. I switched my work schedule around and I was there at 4pm with very little notice. After 90 minutes of x-rays (which they had to do twice because the girl was new and didn't know what she was doing) and trying to sell me on Invisalign, which I've never in my life been told I needed, they informed me I needed a deep cleaning and it would take a least another hour. It was already at 5:40 at this point and I told them I needed to pick up my kids by 6. They asked me to have someone else pick them up but I told them I couldn't do that. They then asked if they could just clean half of my mouth and I would come back for the other half. Since they were going to have to numb me for the the deep cleaning and I only had 10 minutes, this made zero sense and I told them no. I would have to reschedule my cleaning for a 3rd time and the next available appt was another month later, which brings me to today. Today is Veterans Day and the kids are off school. I hired a babysitter to watch them and took 2 hours off work for my 1pm appt since I didn't want to delay the cleaning any further. I showed up on time and they informed me that had booked another appt in my slot since I did not respond to the spam reminder text they sent out. I did receive the spam texts for an appt I had already booked and confirmed, as most doctors offices send, and was even notified that a no-show would result in $150 charge, however no where in the text message did it say that not responding to the spam text would result in them cancelling my appt NOR did I get a notification that the appt had eventually been canceled at any point. Of note, I do not typically "confirm" the spam texts, nor did I on the previous 2 appts and neither of those appts were rescheduled. There was no written policy that appts will be canceled if you do not respond and the fact they state they will charge you a $150 no show fee while preemptively scheduling someone in your place is just a money grab and shows exactly how they feel about their patients. Meanwhile, there is no penalty for the office to cancel my appt with no notice when I have secured childcare and am missing work to show up for an appt they clearly feel they have no obligation to keep. The lady at the desk was unapologetic and kept reiterating this was my fault. After nearly 15 years of being a loyal patient of Happy Smiles, this experience over a prolonged period of time and the lack of care the office and medical staff have is biggest reason I will be taking my business elsewhere. I live in the Westchase area and there are many offices in the area that all have much better reviews and ratings than this clinic. If you are a new or current patient, I highly suggest finding an office that respects your time and values your business because Happy Smiles is definitely not that.

Think twice before using this dentist for anything other than cleaning. I don't ever write bad reviews but I will for this one. I am a business owner and I do a lot of videos and when I broke a tooth I immediately called my dentist Dr Creech. I went in and was told 2 options, a bridge or an implant. I had done an implant with them few years back everything went great. I am sitting in the chair with Novocaine shots and half out of it so when they said $2200 for an implant I agreed even though its a lot of money. Instead of scheduling me another day, this was valentines day they immediately proceeded to take my tooth out which I found odd that it happened so fast. I had paid $1000 at my last visit and when I walk in today to only get a flapper fake tooth, because I was told the implant could take months they wanted another $1200, I immediately said why would I pay you for the whole thing when it takes several months. The secretary proceeded to tell me they are done, this wasn't including the implant, this was just a tooth extraction and bone graft. WHY ON EARTH would I agreed to only have a front tooth removed with no implant, when I asked for an implant? I even mentioned I had commercials I had to do and wanted the implant done. I was the one that asked for a flapper tooth because I didn't want to wait a few months they told me it would take to do the whole implant. So now I am out $1000 and have my tooth removed and I don't even trust this company. I would have NEVER agreed to $2200 to be left like this, why would you not have quoted me the whole thing? I had called and got quote for tooth removal and implant $2500-$3000. You were going to charge me another $1500 for the implant. $4000 for one tooth, please run from this company!

Avoid, Boycott Nine Eagles Dentistry!…read more I have been going to Nine Eagles for nearly 3 years now and have been duped into getting what I consider to be non-urgent or needed procedures (including removal of 2 wisdom teeth that had been fine for over 40 years). Two years ago, they convinced me I had a cracked molar that needed to be drilled and crowned. It cost me several hundreds of dollars out-of-pocket. Last week, that crown broke while eating a soft baked potato. When I called, all I got was attitude from Breanna and an insistence that I pay in advance for the exam and x-rays before they could determine the repairs needed--also at my entire expense. I escalated this to my hygienist, Patty, who did little but push off the broken tooth on a "bad bite" (why didn't they correct with new crown two years ago?) and said I should consider Invisalign on top of getting a total of 3 crowns now--all at more costs to me. If you read other reviews, you will see they are like used-car salespeople with this Invisalign stuff. They even keep pushing it on my daughter knowing she had braces only a few years ago. Now, after a week of back-and-forth, they now want me to email some corporate office. They had promised me a phone call from the dentist on Monday. They lied! Avoid this office like the plague! Despite their nice demeanors, they are only after the cash in your wallet and refuse to take responsibility for their poor workmanship. Don't be conned by them.
