Purchase price is $555000:and I am making a 30% down-payment. I supplied supporting documentation which showed I could have paid cash for the unit but given the ARM I was interested in taking out, it made more sense to secure a mortgage. Given the risk of identity fraud and the number of Landmark employees that would have access to my file, I purposely blacked out my account number on my investment account that has substantial balance. The underwriting department demanded I show them the account number. I will not abide by their request and went to a different lender that was more than willing to accept the blacked out account number. After reviewing the numerous negative reviews of Landmark I felt compelled to post this. I retired from the financial services industry after 45 years and am considered an expert in residential lending having consulted with other institutions after my retirement on their policies and procedures to improve profitability and customer satisfaction. Given Landmarks review ratings it appears they need to focus on how to improve their operations. Since they have a fairly new President, I hope he focuses on the steps necessary to improve overall customer satisfaction. ​

I like this location because it's somewhat close to work and the staff just seems friendlier and I can usually get right to a teller. I only go in once or twice a year but they have always left a good impression on me. I do most all of my banking on line so I don't go in very much but the drive up ATM on the very end is usually empty so I use the ATM more than anything. On my last day of work before my road trip I needed a wad of walking around cash because I didn't want the hassle of finding ATMS or paying stupid fees because I was too lazy to get cash before leaving so I think that triggered yelp friendly reminder, no it's been showing longer than that. It's weird to walk in and the place empty because it was not that long ago when banks were full of people and part of the social gathering/chore thing society did since the founding of banks. I will say that a forever customer service was discontinued in the last couple years so I joined a new bank to receive this service and I may say in time that I might transfer everything over, the branch manager is persistent about doing so.

The day I received the account information in the mail, I logged in and paid the loan amount in full. A month later, I received a statement indicating that I had $47.21 outstanding principal balance, and see that they had not credited all of my payment to the principal, rather they took out $47.21 toward interest. In the section stating amount do it it said $158.67. I called customer service immediately. They had no explanation for the total amount due and said that the 47.21 was the interest accumulated for 11 days! VERY SHADY!! Will never do business with them again, and I would recommend that you don't either.
