We rented Sky (the 8 seater, but there were only 6 of us) for a bachelorette shindig on a Saturday, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Philip was our driver, and the fact that he was a chatty English chap just added to the charm! Hamilton was first, and it was a GREAT, homey experience with Greg, the winemaker, underneath an oak tree next to the vines. Note: it was a tad chilly first thing in the morning, so he turned on the heaters for us, a very nice touch. We all bought a ton of his wine. (Side note: tasting fee here is steep at $65 but is waived if you buy wine.) Next up was Bordes, an off-the-grid, sustainable winery way out in Sonoma, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch of warm sandwiches from Glen Ellen market (we picked our choices while at Hamilton), and were graced by the owner's Viszla, Fredrik, for the duration of the visit. The wines were also delicious, and the views were spectacular, as the winery is up in elevation somewhat. If you get the chance to stop by their house on the way up to the tasting area, DO TAKE PICTURES. Their house is an amazing study in sustainable design and how to blend in with the surroundings. It makes for a dope backdrop. The tasting area is under a pergola next to a kickass airstream, and the warm breezes definitely added to the experience. The wines there were also delicious. (Side note: tasting fee here not as steep at $45 but it is NOT waived with wine purchase.) The final stop was at Benziger, where we crammed onto a "biodynamic tractor tram tour." The tour sounded great and looked even better, but Benziger was bought out by some corporation and it shows. It screams corporate winery now, despite its history, beautiful grounds, and mature landscaping. Pro tip: sit in the very back of the tram, it seats four across, so that you can face backwards, like a rumble seat in an old station wagon. You get the best pix from there and can talk shit about things without getting any dirty looks. Darryl was our tractor driver at Benziger, and he was GREAT. The tram tour takes a solid 45 minutes, after which they drop you off at the tasting room, and jam all of you into it along a counter that is far too small for everyone. So there you have it. Honestly, I think West Wine Tours should put the kibosh on Benziger and go smaller for the third stop. All in all though, we had a fantastic time, and will definitely do this again. read more

We had a great time. Our driver Laura was very sweet and kind. Wineries they chose were perfect.

Thank you sooo very much West Wine Tours and Team!! We had a fantastic day from start to finish!! Everything was organized, the lunch was delicious, and the guys were awesome!!! Highly recommend for any occasion!! Thanks so much! read more

We booked a tour with West Wine for a group 50th birthday celebration, and Jake and Maddie helped us create a perfect day. Even though the number of guests changed several times, all the way up to the last week before our trip, Maddie helped us find wineries that could accommodate our group. Jake was a great guide and driver; he was courteous and professional but at the same time fun, friendly, and easy-going. We would happily book with West Wine Tours again for all our wine country excursions. read more

West Wine Tours - At Tamber Bey winery. Our cool ride caught the attention of the owner, and we were able to get a photo with him (in the cowboy hat). - Wine Tours Near Me

Fun and awesome way to cruise and tour wineries in Napa. Jake our No Ka Oi Born on Maui Tour Guide was such a fine young gentleman with witty "talk story" skills. I suggest you bring a cooler with water though and a fan because there is no AC in van. But we didn't feel it until the third (and last) tour. Regardless the wineries chosen for our us were all so special and enjoyed every minute of the Napa Wine Journey. read more

Had such a wonderful time with west wine tours! Planned it for my friend's bachelorette party and it was the perfect day activity. We all had so much fun and our driver, Jake, was very friendly and was a great tour guide. Can't wait to plan another trip up to Sonoma and do a new tour! 10/10 experience read more

This was just the best. I booked this tour for my sister's bachelorette party and WWT knocked it out of the park. Elizabeth went above and beyond leading up to the tour, answering allllll my questions ASAP and being super accommodating. Our tour guide Rande was awesome and really helped make the day super fun. I highly recommend WWT for any occasion! :) read more

One of the best things we did! Nic and Lacey were amazing! Not only did they make great recommendations, but their care and attention to detail truly made our experience! Nic even had umbrellas and water! The best transportation around!! read more

I booked West Wine Tours for my reunion trip with my friends from college. We met Jacob(the new owner) in downtown Napa with one of his beautifully maintained VW buses named Green Bean. The ride was comfortable for the 6 of us and Jacob was a lot of fun! He is very knowledgeable about the area having grown up there and picked some gorgeous wineries for us to visit. He had us cracking up the entire ride and deals very well with a rowdy crowd. He was born on Maui so the island connection was pretty cool, too. Highly recommend his tour. It was a blast!! read more

West Wine Tours - My group and Green Bean our beautiful ride for the day! - Wine Tours Near Me

This is a pretty expensive adventure with very little perks. Three people in our party exited the bus because they felt it was unsafe. It was raining pretty hard and we were wiping down the windshield and windows with a cloth to see out. The seat belts in front are tied on. Should probably not offer this to groups larger than 6. The driver was a nice kid but rather shy and not communicative. So, no "fun fact" perks. I also had to call him to ask where to meet him next and what time. Only food offering was a sandwich. no water, although I did see it in the back of the van. Not very professional, not very fun and rather expensive. Although we got a few cute pictures and the tasting at Winery sixteen 600 was a good recommendation for lunch. read more

This was a super fun experience. I took some clients out for a business appreciation event and this was a very memorable day! They had great winery recommendations, good relationships with the wineries (resulting in some heavy pours), and were very organized in coordinating the day. I'll be doing this again with future clients and would recommend. read more

Amazing experience! We were so lucky to have the new owner, Jake, as our tour guide. Such an incredibly flexible and fun company to do a tour with. As a Bay Area local, I will absolutely be using this group again. read more

No communication! Poor management. No one will answer your email or calls. Once I finally received a call back from them, I realized that they didn't have my booking correct, and went ahead and booked another couple on the bus that I reserved for my friends and I. The woman (guessing the owner?) abruptly canceled my reservation the day before and sent me a text telling me that she didn't appreciate my "negative response". I mean, wouldn't you be upset if they booked you incorrectly, had poor communication and also added 2 other strangers to join on your bus? I see that these are new owners...I wish them the best of luck taking over this business, as it seems they are a bit over their heads. read more

We had the best time using this service! Tommy was our driver and was a perfect addition to our group. Was such a fun experience! They packed us a delicious lunch to save time between wineries, as well as picked great spots for us to tour. We would do it again when we come back! Everyone agreed that it was 100% worth the money. read more

I live locally in Sonoma County and work in the wine industry. I was looking for a unique and affordable experience, and West Wine Tours provided that and so much more! Their rates are very reasonable in comparison to major private car services and the price also included lunch. They offered to set-up our appointments at no additional charge (tasting fees would still apply) and offered some suggestions for where to enjoy the picnic lunch. My friends and I had an amazing time with Skyler. He kept us on track with our appointments and was very friendly and accommodating. This was an A+ experience that we will never forget. read more

We booked a six-seater VW bus for a 50th birthday celebration on September 27th, unfortunately we didn't get to go and had to request for the cancellation on October 12th. The truth is that the operator offered very little help through the experience, it took her anywhere from a few days to a week to even respond to my emails. We didn't get any assistance in winery booking either, a few days before the tour, we still haven't gotten any reservations from them except the ones I booked myself. Later the other operator Nicole does seem to be more professional, but overall it was a very suboptimal experience, I was surprised about the level of service quality in one of our most renowned wine countries. read more

I had a great time on this wine tour and our host was quite nice but I am just shocked at the cost. Around $125 per person. We had 7 people so we paid over $700 to be driven around from 11am-5pm. What was nice is that the wineries gave us specials because we were with west wine tours. I feel bad to give 2 stars but I hesitate cuz I knew how much it would cost when we signed up. What I didn't know is how small the lunch would be and how crappppppppy the van was. The speakers barely works and there were seat belts but they didn't work very well. Like they were not tight around my body and no wya to adjust and it didn't go over my shoulder just my waist. The lunch was small but yummy salads. Which doesn't seem like a great idea for 7 drunk girls. read more

Super fun way to see Napa & Sonoma while hitting some great winery spots. Stops selected were scenic, offered a variety of wines to taste, and some unique experiences. Our VW bus "Scarlett" was a beauty. Highly recommend this tour! read more

We have been to Napa and Sonoma a MILLION times. We have done the limos, the sprinters, the busses, etc. so it was fun to try something NEW! Tommy was our driver and was perfect for our group. We had an absolute blast. Very inexpensive to be driven around all day, however, if you are looking for luxury, this isn't the company for you. This is perfect if you are looking for fun, adventure, and something different. Tommy was attentive and fun! Our lunch was fabulous and we had an absolute blast. Will absolutely use them again! read more

We booked with West Wine tours well over two months in advance via their website after communicating with the company via phone and email. We paid $1160 in FULL on August 21. THREE DAYS before the event (October 31) we received an email from the company informing us that our tour was being cancelled and refunded without explanation. Confused and panicked, when we contacted the company we were given conflicting information as to why this had occurred, but it basically boiled down to the company double-booking the same date. When we probed deeper for solutions and explanations they stopped communicating with us altogether. As far as mistakes go, this is as big of a mistake you can make as a company. However, it is how they handled this mistake that is incredibly disappointing. We are scrambling to find a solution with two days left before our event and 12 guests on the hook without transportation. Thus far we have had excellent communication from an alternative company www.paintedladiestourcompany.com. Wishing we had booked with Painted Ladies in the first place... read more

This is a wonderful experience with fun new owners. Jake has been in this business for many years. They are learning the ropes and getting it locked down quickly. This was our second time booking with West Wine Tours, and we would happily come back for a third! From start to finish, we absolutely loved the whole experience. Elizabeth worked with me to plan the perfect day for 3 vegetarians and 1 vegan who only drinks red wine. My siblings were visiting us from Baltimore, MD (I'm a local - from Sausalito), and I knew they would love it. Our driver was Tommy (in fact, he was our driver the first time as well!), and he could not have been any more accommodating, funny and helpful. The three wineries that were selected each offered a unique setting and experience, and lunch was delicious. Needless to say, I highly recommend West Wine Tours and can't wait to come back. read more

We had the best time riding around in Scarlet with our driver Joseph! Lots of great pictures for Instagram, thanks to Joseph. We asked for a Keto diet, and they went out of their way to accommodate. Nice salads with chicken, squash, avacados, nuts, and special low-carb dressing. Delicious! Beautiful day, and fun conversations with Joseph. We've been to Napa a few times, but this was our best trip! We'll definitely book again the next time we're in Napa, and we want to try their new Austin tours too. read more

Our group of 6 had the most fun, amazing, memorable time in Sonoma on our wine tour. Our driver Tommy was knowledgeable, a total sweetheart, and so accommodating. He even went out for extra snacks for us while we were at one of our stops. He took so many great photos of us with the van. We are so so glad we splurged a little bit more with the tour instead of taking ubers - it will be an experience we will never forget. Well worth it. Highly recommend!! LOVE West Wine Tours!!! We had such an amazing time and highly recommend WWT! Nicole was a wonderful ambassador of Napa and we had a ball tooling around Napa, in Scarlett the eight seater VW. We booked WWT without our husbands knowledge so it was a fun treat for them to see the vehicle when it arrived. They loved it! People will stop and look at you when you drive by, pull up, or are simply at a stop light. The VW's are easy in and out, spacious, comfy an great way for everyone to see out the windows and the beautiful countryside! If you want something fun, and different - West Wine Tours is the way to go! read more

This company cancelled our booking a few days before our scheduled trip. They were able to get a more expensive group on airbnb and told us they did not want to cancel on the airbnb booking. This is after they asked us two months ago specifically to not book through their airbnb listing. Rather than admitting their mistake and trying to help us out they told us it was a system issue and then proceeded to charge us for another booking. I would think twice before using their service. Not only were they unreliable, their office staff was uncommunicative and we had to reach out multiple times to get a refund. read more

We had the best time with West Wine tours! We were a family of four and our first time to the wine country! Elizabeth contacted me via email and phone to discuss our expectations, what we wanted to see and do. We came up with a list of wineries and she made all the reservations. Steve was our driver and he made our trip so fun! The weather was beautiful, we laughed and sang along to the tunes on the way to each winery! Steve took our lunch order and we stopped by a great deli to pick up lunch, enjoyed a private lunch in a nearby park before heading to the next winery. Steve told us all about the area, made recommendations, took a tons of pics and got us back safely to our Airbnb. We would highly recommend west wine tours for a FUN trip, it's not luxurious or boujee - you are in an old VW bus with NO AC but it's a blast! read more

We had the best time touring Napa with West Wine Tours. What's not to love about traveling down the road with '60s/'70s music blasting! The wineries they helped us choose were beautiful.
