I have some past trauma involving my eyes, so visiting the eye doctor is always very difficult for me. Despite my anxiety, inability to go through all of the regular parts of an eye exam, and sometimes tears, Dr Smith is always extremely kind, understanding, and patient. I accidentally went to the wrong clinic a few months back and ended up leaving due to a panic attack, which could have been prevented if the doctor had been as attentive as Dr Smith and all of her staff are. As weird as it sounds, I just can't express how grateful I am to actually feel comfortable going to the eye doctor. I am so lucky to have found Dr Smith!

Then I met with Dr. Pingree who was able to diagnose the problem. He is very personable as well and easy on the eyes and I felt like I was well taken care of. Going back in 2 weeks for my clogged oil gland to be drained. It could have been a much worse problem. I really looked like hell.

He is kind and patient, treats his staff well (even if they failed to recognize his kind training queues ). He happens ta be rather funny as well. My children would be at home under his supervision. The blonde woman who first took care of me was amazing and the Hispanic(?) lady who helped me check out saved me by calling out before I could leave that I had forgotten my prescription paper I needed for my job. Did I ferget ta mention the front desk attendant was always smiling authentically and described the forms I had to provide for my first time visit with precision? Gave me sample plain lenses to wear for the full day so I can let them know if I feel comfortable with them or not, and then we will place the order. The manager was extraordinarily patient and knowledgeable. I tried on so many glasses and was grateful for their opinions and patience. What topped the cake was dealing with my insurance. I rarely use my optical insurance and the manager spent so much time helping me even though it was so busy. She was never snappy or impatient, and I appreciated her expertise. They have great diagnostic equipment and can quickly test for all manner of eye related issues. There is a nice team of people handling the front desk. My doctor (Dr. White) was excellent and gave me a thorough checkup. He had some newer diagnostic techniques I haven't seen before. That helped me realize I was in the right place. She even sped up her response to get the glasses fixed before a long 3-day weekend, which would have delayed getting to them even further. So, I'm very impressed with Jodie and her team. And she even went above and beyond to tighten up the hinges and replace my old temple tips with new ones, so the glasses came back looking like new, in a new case and cleaning cloth. They are Kawasaki's with cable temples. At 65, I'm a super active guy, and the cable temples keep them from moving on/off my face when I am active. I am also EXTREMELY demanding and an ADHD perfectionist. Did not bother Jodie one bit; she was super confident in her ability to excel; especially with me being a remote customer out of the DFW area some 1,228 miles east of her office. I have travelled out to Utah on occasion, but never been able to stop by and meet her in person to thank her for her kindness & courtesy. By now, I've received about a dozen pairs of glasses from her with absolutely ZERO (0) issues. Does not seem like much, but the investment over the years has likely been north of $9K. Not cheap, but great value in my opinion. Quality is not a budget item. Plus, these always look like jewelry. They are just gorgeous. Can't thank Jodie enough. One day, I will stop by and surprise her... She is all about the efficient delivery of GREAT service to the customer. Feels more like a close friendship more so than a 'business transaction. First they didn't keep me waiting or there forever as the doctor randomly disappeared. Doctor stayed with me beginning to end. That was awesome. He asked me many questions during the exam to make sure what I was seeing how I was seeing it, and to make me think about things like "Okay it's clear, but are you straining?" I honestly don't remember anyone ever asking me that. Just "What's better." Here he defined "Better" and what he meant by it. He also sat with me till we got my prescription fine tuned to a degree I don't remember ever having been able to see at. This was an awakening for me. To have a doctor be that patient and more interested me being able to see to the best of my absolute ability was just amazing. I've never had anyone be so patient and (now I realize) care so much about getting me the best results possible. I'm beyond impressed. The only thing I can say though is I wish they had a bit broader or a selection of glasses. But that's so very minor. I still would go 5+ starts for this visit just because of the Doctor's patience and fine tuning the prescription to my clearest and most comfortable prescription possible.

His assistant worked up the prescription, and even though I told her it wasn't very clear, she left it as she had set it. I am not pleased with the results of my visit.
