Carpets were stained to high heaven flys were all over my room bed was hard and pillows were small and non comfortable the walls where stained and messed up and couldn't watch tv bc the tv was all static. No one at the front desk and when reporting the issues to hotels.com to get a refund the hotel denied it so I had to leave mid stay bc of how the place was . Unless you are truly desperate and can't sleep in your car- do not stay here. We have to travel with our dog and we didn't know better, but this is absolutely not somewhere we would ever wish upon our worse enemies. The bed is basically a rock, and the place smells of must and smoke (despite being nonsmoking). They don't have working fire alarms (and those beep at 3:30 am to remind you of that). The outside doors don't lock, and the place is dated as all hell. The front desk is fake friendly, which is fine, but the "no refund" signs make everything a bit awkward and uncomfortable if you do have an issue. Bed bugs are probably there. We slept the minimal amount needed to left home and got the heck out of this crap hole. I'm honestly shocked this place is allowed to stay open. read more

This is really the Econo Lodge. It's says West Star on the building but a crumpled piece of paper on the door lets you know it's really the Econo Lodge. The exterior was not inviting and looked abandoned. I came in a little after midnight and the driveway and parking lot was not plowed at all from snow, the storm had ended hours earlier, luckily I had 4 wheel drive. The walkways and in front of the lobby were also not shoveled. When I rang the bell to let them know I was in the lobby (which the sign at the desk said to do) it took a few minutes for a rumpled, grumpy man to come out to the desk. He said "what do you want?" and when I said I had a reservation he turned and looked at the clock and looked back at me obviously annoyed. The room was clean -ish. There were strange little black fuzzies on the sheets I chose not to think about. However, in the morning at the breakfast when I got apple juice a swarm of fruit flies came out (picture attached), which is pretty impressive considering it was only 15 degrees out. I gave Econo Lodge 2 stars because the price was reasonable for a place I just crashed at for a few hours. Plus the housekeeping staff knows how to tightly make a bed. If you're looking for a Stanley Hotel Lite experience this is the place for you. The Shining aesthetic really grips you on that drive up the hill. If you like to be treated like a valued customer and not get extra protein with your juice, I'd suggest spending the extra few bucks at the place across the street. read more

The elevator is gross and ANYONE can just walk in the hotel! Instead of checkout they have a basket that says, "please please room keys here when checking out if no one is around." SERIOUSLY?! The pictures below speak for themselves. DI NOT STAY HERE!! Coffee pot: dont use! Bathtub: at your own risk! My camera couldn't pick up a lot of the filth! Wish I could give it 1/2 star Stayed here for one night and was not impressed. I didn't even want to shower or take off my shoes to get into bed. I probably checked for bed bugs three different times it was that gross. (No bed bugs but not sure how!) Our room was disgusting. Not vacuumed, a sheet on our bed and that was about it. Shower was gross, only thing i was excited to do before i went to bed. Tv was shitty, couldn't even see the tv channels because of static. Towels were stained, sheets were stained. You get what you pay for. It is very basic. It has a little bit of a smell in the halls but the room wasn't too bad. The bar only served fried food and the soda machine was out but you could get soda from the bar. There is no food vending machine. Also if you come to jackpot make sure to eat before you come here or get here early. There are no restaurants open after 10:45pm except the bar. read more

Having purchased through hotels.com I believed their to be roll away beds for 20$. I was counting on this and due to it not being true I ended up sleeping on the floor. The rooms were sweltering on arrival. The room with the flies also didn't have hot water. The hotel gave us a discount but it was not for any of these concerns and being only 20$ was inadequate to compensate for our experience. It's not worth 50$ to stay here. Really. It was rough. Found this place on Trivago and booked it based on price. They have free wifi which is always nice. The first room we went to was not cleaned or ready. I walked back down and asked for another room. The 2nd room was nice and clean. The TV has a lot of channels to choose from. The toilet is a bit louder than I expect a toilet to be when flushed. The beds are nice and the pillows are a little flat but that does not bother me. The hotel is very quiet even with the small casino and bar downstairs. We slept just fine. We will probably booked this again based on the experience. Gave 3 stars for the first room not being ready. As a hotel, you have to have a room ready when guest arrive. Don't stay here unless your used to living in a craphole. This establishment should be ashamed of advertising such nice rooms on booking sites. I was in a non smoking room that had cigarette burns in the furniture. Broken lampshade. Stains on the walls and bed and floor. If the room is not a pet friendly and says 100% smoke free I expect to not find any stains or burns. Not the case. Also, the beds are not what are advertised. Same with the tv. Not that that's such a big deal but traveling with a young child they didn't have a single channel that was suitable for her and again, not the flat screen that was shown in the rooms on booking site. Maybe the smoking rooms are better or pet friendly ones but who knows. The website showed up to date rooms and these were like walking into a 1950s room. The bed and floor looked like it had not ever been cleaned. I don't know how they even got the grade on the website. I saw the pictures and thought it was yelp because it normally is but it was booking.com. I was very disappointed in this stay. We got a reservation for this hotel on our trip to Arizona. When we arrived, I was notified that our Handicapped room we reserved had been given out "to the people that arrived just before you". Very upsetting! This place obviously does not care about customers, they just want the money. And, what is sad is that a lot of travelers that are not handicapped, will ask for the handicap rooms and the hotels will give it to them, no questions asked. First of all we go to our room and some dude is in it and says please don't tell them I'm here my friend will get fired then the two people running the place were 14 and 15 years old. I stayed there and I was traveling to Washington and I had forgotten a bag in my room and it had everything in there, important documents to some jewelry that I had that was from a family member that passed away( my father). Do not make a reservation here. At 3 am we were turned away (After a 14 hour drive) after we politely asked the hotel concierge to speak up as we could not hear him with the mask and fans going. He was very rude and would not explain why he said he was refusing our service. We tried to resolve the conflict but his immature response was "no comment". Make your reservation somewhere else. Stains and garbage were all over the floor, cigarette burn on the quilt and hairs (that were definitely NOT mine). Most disgusting. Walls are gross and dirty they had scuffs and who knows when the last time they were cleaned. Curtains nasty dusty, not sure what color they were supposed to because they were faded. And if you want to open a window let the mosquitos in too because there are no screens. And the worst thing was the bed bugs. My kids were so tired they went to lay down I went to tuck them in and about 5 bugs crawled from under a pillow so I pulled up the sheets and there were more. The owner is a joke. Absolutey Horrible! This would be a great place for Hotel Hell to do a show on. We we arrived there was a young women behind the desk who was left in charge, but had not been properly trained. Told me later she usually cleans the rooms(really, don't think I would admit to that) She checked us in, but did not know how to print a receipt, told me she would have it later. We went to our room. At first looked ok, a couple of stains on the carpet, but it is pet friendly, so ok. THEN, my husband noticed the shower. Full of mold and chemicals! Called the front desk, she apologized and took us to another room. Opened the door to find it completely undone, although she said it had been checked as done...so now room number 3. OMG! This room should be demolished! There was not a clean spot on the carpet, the refrigerator has food smeared all over it, which I tried to wipe off with a wet tissue. THEN, I turned around to see projectile vomit on the wall..get me out of here!! We are now on room 4. It too had stains on carpet including 3 that looked like dried Pooh...I pointed it out to her and she told me it had be there for some time now. Really?? We kept this one. although I didn't want to. Later I went to get my receipt. realizing that I had already paid for the room through Expedia.com. I told them this and they said the would issue a refund. A short time later I checked my account and found I had been charged again!! That's 3 times now. Turns out when the inexperience gal checked me in, she did not realize that the credit card showing was for Expedia. So removed it an put mine in, so when they tried to refund, it was refunded to Expedia and charged to my card again. The young man who helped me at check out assured me he would fix it (and he did) To make matters worse someone stole our antenna off our car! Bottom line..avoid this hotel! The front desk idiot was so indifferent and unhelpful, it's something I'm writing a review over, for the first time EVER staying in a place, and I've traveled around the world. Frankly put, whoever was working the registration desk is a dumbass who only tries to make traveling difficult. This is not a boring story , it's actually important to get the information out. Dumbass called the local deputy sheriff because I plugged my electric car into the hotel outlet (120) volt plug (same as your vacuum and hair dryer plug)so I and my wife and infant son can have assurance to make it to the next charging station with our electric Vehicle. He had the deputy come out and unplug my "hair dryer " instead of I don't know, stopping criminal activity. We are talking abut the same amount of electricity to run a fan or TV. OH, BTW the TVs in the casino weren't working and the toilets in our room weren't flushing. He refused to call a Plummer over that or fix the TV issue. I'd shit on the pillow but he has my cc number. Do not stay here even if you have to one night it in your car. This is one of the worst experiences for a world wide traveler I've had and I've been to many third world countries. When you have the lobbyist out to get you from the beginning instead of support you and you're there spending money in that community, that's unacceptable. And asshole at the front desk, you need to re-examine your life because you don't provide society with anything but problems and misery. This place is not clean. I am pretty sure we checked into a dirty room that even had someone else's snot on the washcloth. Nice. They don't have a fitted bottom sheets on the mattress so when we pulled the covers back the bed wasn't made. The sheet was pushed down to the bottom. The toilet was leaking all of the floor all night and it had a tv that would sometimes work and sometimes not from the 80s. I totally prefer more run down places over fancy smancy however, clean is important and this hotel was anything but... For 90.00 a night you'd be better looking around read more
