The food includes the Irish stuff you would expect, and in the past they've been great. Think fish & chips, Shepards pie (actually cottage). My friend and I had sandwiches this visit and they were great. The menu says you get chips. What you get is a generous portion of deep fried potato rounds, just a little thick. Some crunchy and some a little soft. The dill pickle... not my favorite but that's my take. Do Not skip the appetizer. The mushrooms are amazing. They are roasted or braised, and they are delicious. There are Irish beers here including Guinness, Harp, etc. or if you prefer something else there's a full bar.

I was delighted they had it on the menu. One lady was the bartender, order taker, waitress and even bused all the tables. This is the Midwest work ethic I was raised with! She did a great job all the while maintaining a smile and good humor with the customers. Every table including the bar was filled and everybody left happy, including us. My friend had a Ruben sandwich w/ coleslaw and I had the deep fried Walleye sandwich with chips. It got real quiet while we were eating which is a good sign the food was good. The accompanying potato chips were fabulous! Never had fries done this way. They are thin like a chip but actually fried potato medallions. Definitely will come back when in the area again.

Service was fantastic the whole time. We were never left wanting for anything, and drinks and food came out at a perfect pace. We started off with drinks and the dill cheese curds appetizer. I was very happy that they had four ciders available, and I went with the pear choice, which turned out to be Magner's. The curds were fantastic, with loads of dill in the crisp breading. The curds had a perfect pull and squeak. My kid had the fettucine alfredo and rated it as "very good." (He also enjoyed the leftovers the next day). My husband had the smothered ribeye sandwich and requested no mushrooms. He had fries on the side. He said this is one of the best ribeye sandwiches he's ever had. I had the fish tacos, and wow, they were delicious. It included two tacos, and each one had two massive, very hot fish nuggets. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. I had my choice of side and went with coleslaw, which was good. Note that this is a brewery, but they had none of their beers available during our visit because they had just transferred to new ownership. Based on our experience, we definitely need to return when they have their own beers on tap again and then we can try more of their food, too!

Lots of memorabilia from long defunct breweries. My Bloody Mary was excellent as were my fish tacos. There are multiple options for pescatarians though probably a bit more challenging for vegans, which is not unusual in this part of the world. While we visited their onsite brewing was on hiatus because they need to be re-licensed after the ownership change. Looking forward to that happening!

A few little yard arts, chairs, and plants...very welcoming! The B&B is on the left and the tap room is on the right, the garage, where the covered patio is. Co-owner Brenda was behind the bar. They had a good tap list, not overwhelming but enough to quench any palate. There was also a good list of guest taps, all Inbound. When Brenda mentioned she could pour me an "air" I responded... oh Lucid Air! That's one I hadn't heard in a minute! The tap room is very cozy and w Brenda also being a travel agent there is travel destination suggestions on the tap list. Mid visit the Brewer/co-owner, Ford came behind the bar. There was a decent selection of vinyl....not sure if they have a record player or it's just fun "decoration"? My friend gave me the explanation of the names on the shelving behind her. Again....fer cute!! I won't divulge it, go on & ask for yourself, I think it'd be funner hearing it in person from an owner! One friend opted for an Inbound beer. After having Brenda pour me a taste of Chubby Chipmonk Pale Wheat, which was good but better than a standard wheat beer since it's a Pale Wheat, so if you're looking for a muted beer, this isn't it, so go on and taste it. I asked my other friend f I could have a sip of his Bicycle Brown? There it is....that's what my palate is looking for! I opted for a pint of Bicycle Brown Ale... it hit the mark....as I still had a couple hour drive in front of me to the cities. Thanks Hoppy Girl for the delicious beer in such a comfortable & welcoming environment served up by a couple of pretty wonderful owners, cheers!

We went for lunch when they opened at 11 am in a Saturday. The waiter was good at first bringing our drinks immediately then taking our order. One order was bbq pork ribs and the other their special of a prime rib sandwich au jus. The ribs were terribly dry with a fair bbq sauce. The sides of slaw & beans were very bland. The prime rib sandwich was dry and nothing more than a cheap beef roast with a flavorless beef stock. The waiter came back to check on our food but never offered drink refills. We felt rushed. For the food we received it was very over priced and disappointing. Before we left we wanted to look at all the Grumpy Old Men movie memorabilia which some were near the bathrooms. The smell and unclean bathrooms was terrible. We won't be back.
