A surprising standout for me was the homemade honey mustard that had great depth of flavor and paired really nicely with the cheese curds. They also have very affordable NA drinks as well as local pops with unique flavors like butterscotch root beer. The real draw of this place is their whole pay what you can concept which allows anyone of any budget to enjoy this place. With the three entrees, appetizer, and 3 drinks we decided to pay about $70 for 4 people to encompass both taxes and gratuity.

It is located at the Jewel Golf club, so you park in the same parking lot. Upon arrival, there is hand sanitizer available and all the tables are socially distanced. They do have outdoor seating available with beautiful views of the golf course but it is shaded so it might get a little chilly. They have a simple lunch menu with some appetizers, salads and sandwiches. I started off with their beer cheese soup. It comes with popcorn which is a must for beer cheese soup. It was delicious!! Some of the better soup I've had in awhile. Next I had the hickory burger and fries. It was so good! They have the battered kind of fries making them extra crunchy and tasty. The burger itself was flavorful and just what a burger should taste like. The cheese perfectly melted, bacon perfectly crispy, and the sweet bbq sauce to top it off. When Brenda mentioned she could pour me an "air" I responded... oh Lucid Air! That's one I hadn't heard in a minute! The tap room is very cozy and w Brenda also being a travel agent there is travel destination suggestions on the tap list. Mid visit the Brewer/co-owner, Ford came behind the bar. There was a decent selection of vinyl....not sure if they have a record player or it's just fun "decoration"? My friend gave me the explanation of the names on the shelving behind her. After having Brenda pour me a taste of Chubby Chipmonk Pale Wheat, which was good but better than a standard wheat beer since it's a Pale Wheat, so if you're looking for a muted beer, this isn't it, so go on and taste it. I asked my other friend f I could have a sip of his Bicycle Brown? There it is....that's what my palate is looking for!
