Like I said in the previous review; it's like they were moving their own furniture. One of their truck's is across the street, moving someone out of the complex. It's not unusual to see someone moving; most of the time it's with U-Haul. I'm watching the movers bringing the people's furniture out of the building. Everything seems to be wrapped in plastic to keep it from getting wet and damaged. The guys are working fast. I don't know the family. I do know they'll be happy with the service they get from Triangle Movers. I hope they do a Yelp review.

They gave one excuse after another. When you pay $10,000 to have your stuff moved out of state, you don't expect to have your stuff, stolen and broken and your outdoor furniture disassembled and laying on your front lawn in a heap. They then brought our stuff up to Catskill and loaded it into our house, and this was not an easy move, yet they remained cheerful and upbeat, even taking a bunch of heavy things up to the attic. This was a very difficult day for them and they responded like the professionals they are. I would hire them again in a second if I ever need to, and I highly recommend them for your moving needs. One word…read more Outstanding! I had them move a 10X15 storage unit from Hyde park to a different storage in Newburgh. They arrived on time, ready to work. They were organized, professional and friendly (and laughed at my bad dad jokes) I got an estimate sight unseen from Jim that turned out to be spot on. I thought the price was fair. I'm difficult to please in general, and they met or exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend. Also they were careful to not damage any of my things. Did I say I highly recommend?

The truck drivers who loaded and unloaded my container were excellent--they answered all of my questions, provided clear timelines, and kept me updated with calls when they left the unit and when they arrived at my home. Their communication was always on point. The only downside was that my container was extremely dirty, almost as if it had been used to transport charcoal. Because of this, I strongly recommend wrapping items in blankets and stretch wrap to prevent them from getting stained. Unfortunately, my mattress cover was ripped during the move and ended up with black marks. Overall, the professionalism and communication stood out, but I do wish the container had been in better condition.

Almost $1,200 , and from the very first pickup (less than a two‑minute drive, with items already packed), the nightmare began. The contents were tied to an eviction, and the rightful owner desperately needed access to essentials--credit card, cash, and medicine. Smooth Move held those items hostage for over a week, forcing needless suffering just to retrieve basic necessities. And as if the humiliation of their "facility" wasn't enough, they capped it off by overbilling my credit card just under $200. That's not just incompetence--it's exploitation. Smooth Move isn't a storage company. It's a scam dressed up as service, a disgusting office space pretending to be legitimate. Save yourself the agony: avoid them at all costs.

I had to call them every day during the last week. My building hasn't received the COI until Friday 5pm. Of course, they had a chance to review it on Monday 9am. At this point the movers had already arrived. I wasn't surprised when the COI (certificate of insurance) had issues and there was lots of back and forth communication between movers' boss and building manager. The movers waited until 10:30 for confirmation that COI is good. I wasn't charged for this time. I am told that the movers were compensated for waiting for 2 hours. As a result of the delays, the move ended at 3:30pm. Luckily I still had enough time to go back to NY and clean the vacant apartment. No matter how I spin this, I cannot give more than 3 stars to the moving company. It was a stresful week.
