They want to grow old in place and it is a tremendous relief to know they are not doing this manual labor on their own. This was very fair. As a consultant myself, I actually suggested she charge a bit more for her service. I was impressed that she offered to visit my property so she could see firsthand the light, the soil, etc..Lisa was on time and prepared with a survey of my lot. She did not charge for this consultation, which I found to be a good first step. She spent a sufficient amount of time at my home, asking questions and gaining insight about me and my ideas and preferences. We agreed that she would provide me with a written plan for concept, a digital 2D plan and revision(s), plant lists, and care guidelines for phase one of my multi phase project. NEXT STEP- waiting for the schematic plan. Depending upon the anticipated cost vs my budget, I may proceed to implementing the project using Grand Plans or as a DYI. Hello, I had a 40' x 14' foot concrete patio replaced with…read moreCambridge pavers. The patio is along the back of my house and there are 2 doors going into the house from the patio, one slider and one hinged door. The new patio looks good enough but the whole thing is too high relative to the house, the top of the pavers are the same height as the top of the door saddle. I can not install a storm door because it will hit a floor mat. I had asked Manuel to make the patio about an inch below the door saddles during the estimate and again before the pavers were installed, he agreed but didn't do it. It's discouraging, the patio looks nice but it's the wrong height. Now I face the dilemma of living with it or having another contractor rip it out and install it at the right height.

Whispering Pine sent me home with a beautiful cast iron plant. The customer service was fantastic - the Indoor Plant Staff (Anthony If I recall correctly) helped me to find and go home with everything I needed. I was provided with a printed list of pet friendly plants, educated on the care of the plant, and took the time to make sure I had all the materials to set me up for success. He encouraged me to contact them if I any issues with the plant. Overall exceptional customer service experience, especially after a less than helpful experience at Maple Grove.
