So to be completely honest and somewhat humble in my review. I give Frank a shrug my shoulder kind of review. Frank did respond quickly and he did make his appointment with us on time. But as soon as he opened his mouth about how long he has been in business and who he services, I knew this was not a match made in heaven. His ego and his lack of customer service really showed. He spent more time stroking his own chicken and pricing us out before we even got started, it was absolutely insane. This man has been doing this for 39years and he is so high strung, lacks patience, and wants to sell all top end options. I am all for up selling your product but to say our budget is not me(Frank) was a bit overwhelming. Everything started at 50 to 60k and who gives a range of 10k in a verbal estimate when you don't even know what we need versus wants. What can we get for our budget is not in his wheelhouse or vocabulary. When in fact the person who referred us spent under $50k with him for a bigger pool then we wanted. So it's just odd to me that he kept saying that many times over, again pricing us out of the picture. The most daunting thing that really surprised me is how he wants to be efficient and lower his costs but increase my costs. Frank says to me you are going to have to remove that crepe myrtle and I need 10 feet in width to drive a "trailer hoe" back here. And yes it will tear up all your sod and your neighbors yard. Wait what I don't have 10' on either side. Okay so you plan to replace it right. No I don't do landscaping. So let me get this straight he wants to drive some 10 feet wide excavator back here to dig up a five feet deep pool? I looked it up and they do have smaller excavators that will reach the depth that is needed and are much lighter and smaller. But because of efficiency and his cost he plans to lack care for your yard. Just to pass another bill on to you 10' x 40' run is another $4k to fix the sod and $1200 for sprinklers to be replaced. I knew from earlier in the conversation he doesn't do landscaping so you will have to call two more companies to put your yard back once he is done tearing it up. From a common sense perspective take care of the yard and maybe charge a little more for time. It can't be the $5,200 in damage you plan to do. Lastly, if he said to me one more time I do all the pools for doctors, lawyers, and nurses in this area I would have probably puked. And if he tells me one more time he is the undercover guy they send out to inform lawyers on lawsuits. Puke again. Just too much ego for me. Frank I wish you the best and yes you probably should stick with the doctors, and lawyers, and nurses because they obviously like to be up-sold on materials they don't necessarily need for you to profit on standard materials you buy in bulk at a low cost. I appreciated your time and input. Only wasted 20 minutes of my time. Frank is definitely knowledgeable in his field but if you lack patience this guy is not the one for you. We decided to walk away with an agreement it was not a match. I gave him 3 stars because of his timeliness, knowledge, and workmanship via pictures. Frank is a flat out liar and this company is having major issues. My fathers pool has been nearly a 4 year endeavor and still incomplete. The permits are long past expired and we continuously get one lie after another. Sadly my father knew Frank personally and paid in full assuming he would be taken care of. If this is how he treats people close to him, I can't imagine how he treats other customers. We also received notice of liens on the property from the concrete company and the paver supplier. I met Frank just before a significant heart surgery in 2022. He sounded professional, so I signed a contract with him after saving for eight years in September, and construction started in October of 2022. After many calls to Frank and then to his contractors' pool, the portion was in by August 2023. Now, as of June 2024, I am still waiting for my elite roof that was paid for in full. read more

This company is not completing pools. Have been waiting over 2 1/2 years for our pool to be complete. We are not the only ones. There are numerous homeowners who have signed contracts with them in 2021 and still do not have their pools complete. Would not recommend unless you are wanting to deal with years of aggravation and excuses. It is very upsetting that pool contractors are able to get away with doing business this way in Florida. STAY AWAY!!!!! Frank is about 18 months into our project and all we have is a whole and scattered materials. Non-stop lies about "everyone is delayed" while other companies are starting and finishing pools all around our neighborhood. You will receive every possible excuse and then some; he even tried to use hurricane Ian as a major delay and we've had summer storms more intense. Also, it is always Frank stating "I can't control these contractors," continuously shifting blame. Being a business owner you take on the burden and assist the customer; bull crap! he couldn't care less. In short, many feel this is going the way of Olympus Pools and are basically waiting for a class action lawsuit. West Hernando Pools (Frank Bierwiler) is absolutely the company you want to build your pool! We called several companies and received 3 estimates. We chose Frank for several reasons: 1. Competitive price while using the very best products (example PebbleTec finish). 2. Frank ALWAYS responds to texts and phone calls; usually within 2 minutes!!! 3. The people who actually do the work are professional, respectful, and extremely skilled. Most of his crew has been with him over 10 years. A few of the tasks are done by other companies (screen enclosure, pavers) and these companies are partnered with Frank and adhere to his high standards. 4. Best warranty in the area by far. 5. We were able to see finished pools and ask about customer experiences before committing. The pool is absolutely stunning and we could not be happier. read more

I completely agree with the other bad review. We were very hopeful the first day we met with Frank, the owner, because of all the promises he made to us that all ended up being broken promises. We delt with him for 5 weeks, just to try to get an estimate and never even got that. I texted him on multiple occasions with promises of a call/text back as soon as he got back to the office and those didn't happen. The only time I heard from him was when I initiated the conversation and a full week would go by before I even reached out because I knew he was busy. A simple "I'm sorry. I'm really busy" would've worked. Again, 5 wks waisted and we also wanted a pool before Christmas. He said he could get a permit in one day, from what we hear from everyone else that we've actually gotten quotes from, it could take up to 8 wks to get a permit. Just too much smoke blown in the wrong places. Run far away. Spoke with Frank the owner in early Sept, who said he would go out to my property to give me an estimate. He said he was busy that week but that he could give me a quote within a few days. I waited about 2 weeks then decided to give him a call. He again said he was "busy" and he would do it no later than the next day. It's been 3 weeks and I never heard from him. I gave up and went with Hopper pools. Ritchie the owner got back to me the next day and his price was extremely reasonable. Stay away from West Hernando Pools. I can't understand how this guys been in business this long. Unprofessional and a huge waste of my time. Now I am 2 months behind on building a pool which I wanted to get done before xmas. read more
