When I called back to try and reschedule for later in the day, I was told there would be a non-negotiable cancellation fee of $79, even if I rescheduled for later the same day. Absolutely outrageous. This is unacceptable customer service and a clear example of corporate greed. I will never give Hand and Stone another dollar. This is exactly why I prefer local spas--where clients are treated with care and respect. I highly recommend others do the same and support businesses that value their customers.
