I can only speak from my experience and I absolutely love Floating Lotus. I started going back in…read more2021 and before that I had only gotten one previous facial at an esthetician school. I don't normally get facials since I have a regular skin care regimen that I follow thanks to my primary care physician and dermatologist, but I do go for facials once a year and twice if I feel like I need extra care or just to pamper myself. So far the times I have gone I get the one that is tailored for my skin (lotus signature facial for 60 min) I am able to mention problems I currently have and Leah gives great recommendations. I don't trust anyone else with my skin. She is so knowledgeable and always able to recommend creams and face care products according to my concerns. Before she applies anything she explains what it's for. The massage in between is always relaxing and I always manage to go to get a nap in. I have not had an issue thus far and always leave refreshed. I cannot speak for massages or any other face procedures since I try not to do much to my skin and just limit to maintaining my skin texture and hydrating it as well as using products that will help me age gracefully and heal acne scars from past outbreaks. I always follow up with dermatologist about once or twice a year as well to track how my skin is doing. I have recommended this place to my mom and bf and they both have received facials courtesy of me since I love to treat them to a nice facial yearly as well.

I booked a 75 minute massage for 4:30 but wasn't called into the room until about 4:45, and the…read moremassage didn't start until 4:50. It ended around 5:50, so I didn't receive the full time I paid for. The location also wasn't ideal during the massage, I heard two loud car alarms and an ambulance right outside the window, which made it hard to relax. While the masseuse was kind, the massage itself wasn't what I was looking for. I booked a lymphatic drainage massage but received more of a light, general massage with little pressure or technique. Considering the price (plus the generous tip I left), I was really disappointed overall. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

I love this place!…read more I've been looking to find a new nail salon and this is perfect. Once you step in, you'll be greeted with the friendliest front staff. They'll offer you drinks and have you seated right away. The service is awesome. I love the bath bombs they used and the pedicure I got is one of the best. I'll be coming back.

UPDATE: Enso's owner called me first thing Monday, immediately apologized, explained his assessment…read moreof what happened as well as his solution, and refunded me in full. The couple that owns the business wants their customers taken care of. Excellent service! Thank you Enso! BE VERY CAREFUL at Enso as they may add charges for services without clearly telling you the cost--or even that the service is an add-on. I was charged $60 for a regular toenail polish change and a 10-minute soak in warm water. That was literally my entire service. Meanwhile, both of my friends received full Tier 1 pedicures--including soaking, massage, hot towels, scrubbing, nail trimming/filing, cuticle care, and polish--and also paid $60. When we sat down, my nail tech offered to let my feet soak for 10 minutes while I chose my color. He never told me the soak was an additional paid service. I've had this same toenail polish change at Enso 3-4 times before, and the soak was always included. My nails were already trimmed and ready to polish. I specifically did not request filing, cutting, massage, scrubbing, or any other pedicure services. The tech spent maybe 10-15 minutes with me applying a base coat, regular polish, and topcoat. At checkout, I was shocked to see a $60 bill. When I questioned it, I was told the 10-minute soak is "typically $50," but they reduced it to $30. Since when does a 10-minute soak in water cost $50--or even $30? Most importantly, I was never told it was an additional charge.

Avant Garde Salon - What I wanted

I recently came to Avant Garde when the stylist who was doing my color and i-link extensions…read moreretired; two of his stylists migrated here and one of them, Shawna, does the same type of extensions that my now-retired stylist was doing. I consulted with Shawna before the move and we coordinated for my first visit to Avant Garde. Turns out, one of the front desk staff, Donovan, was someone I'd with whom I'd become acquainted five years ago when he worked the desk in another industry - he is so friendly and engaging, always upbeat and cheerful, I was so excited to be working with him again! The fact that he's been here for five years tells you how the salon treats their employees; Donovan seems very happy here. And he's great. Avant Garde is an Aveda salon and Aveda salons ALWAYS smell amazing! They have lots of great products for sale, and they have many wonderful beverages including a delicious tea for you to stay hydrated while you wait and/or receive your service. Since I was getting extensions out and back in, and getting a full color in between, Shawna and I were hanging out for quite a while. During that time, I was able to observe the other talented stylists around her station, and in turn, they came over to see these extensions Shawna was doing with me, since they don't do them! I noticed the stylists around spent a great deal of time educating their clients on how to style their hair and what styling tools and products would best help them, in a way I haven't seen too often elsewhere. Though I'd met Shawna at the other salon, this was the first time she worked with me. Leading up to and during my visit she was very patient, asked lots of questions on the style I wanted. She did a great job with the color and the extensions, as well as the cut, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with her at her new work-home! I'd like to point out that Avant Garde is a full service salon and offers massage and nail services in addition to the hair services. For hair services, I've always found Aveda salons to be higher priced than other salons, in every city I've lived in, and that's not an exception here. Aveda products in general are a bit more expensive than other salon brands. Avant Garde is in line with that.

I had Helen who was amazing since I am picky of who cuts my hair since most of the time they cut too much off than what I want. She did an amazing job and provided amazing service! I highly recommend coming here.
