For those of us that have ordered online from this store before, there's finally a store where you can see it before you buy it. This new store is located in the new Midtown Miami stores. It's no Ikea but there's a good selection of furniture and home furnishing products. For parking, there is some metered parking on the street. Be sure and use the meter, because I've even seen them give tickets even during late Sunday afternoons. You can also park at the 2nd floor parking at Miami Midtown by Circuity City. They will give you a validation for one free hour at any of the stores so make sure you don't leave your ticket in the car. If you park in the Miami Midtown garage here's something to remember: 1) If you enter the garage by Circuit City, you are parking on the 2nd floor. 2) If you enter the garage by Target, you are parking on the 3rd floor. read more

I had no big expectations of this west elm. previous experiences were not so good, yet yesterday i had the most helpful, knowledgeable and giving associate at this store help make my wish come true. she helped me out of her way, because i don't think she made any commission on it since she helped me order my item with another west elm store. While the furniture is stylish and reasonably priced, be aware there will probably be a long wait time for delivery. I furnished my new Miami Beach condo with West Elm furniture, using one of their home stylists. The larger pieces took over 8 weeks to be delivered. Apparently, West Elm doesn't want to tie up its working capital with inventory, so it waits until a customer orders an item before it in turn orders the item from a factory in China or other foreign country. (West Elm euphemistically calls this "back order). Since some items take more time to manufacture than others, you can expect a series of deliveries of these "back ordered" items. read more

This is a great place to look for those pieces you've probably given up on, defeated by the prospect that a product of your imagination can't truly exist. I found a lot of those here ( a coffee table; dinning table and chairs; pottery ), plus some more that helped completing a design concept that was lacking soul. Terrible costumer service though: as mentioned by another yelper, the saleswomen on the floor seemed to be avoiding the clients as much as they could, and when confronted with simple questions, their answers were monosyllabic and/or evasive. I'll be coming back for more furniture, but eventually will purchase it online. read more

Some of the furniture pieces are great but this review is about their customer service. It is next level abysmal. Should you ever have to switch out a piece after making an order and before shipping, beware. They turn this common issue into the ultimate nightmare, fail to provide confirmation emails of the cancellation, and don't follow instructions. In my case, they advised me to cancel the entire order and reorder all items, and then they only cancelled one piece. All while refusing to provide a confirmation email. They really suck. I loathe buying new furniture. Loathe it. I'm an antique kind of girl. I like to hunt and peck for my furniture. And I like something with a little history behind it. That being said, I actually don't mind the stuff at West Elm. It's cheaper than Pottery Barn but it still manages to be stylish. It has a modern feel with a '70s quality to it. So when I was forced to get a new, non-antique, dresser for the TV room that was friendly for our soon-to-be walking baby, this was my go-to place. I found something that gave my room a modern kick without being too over the top and looking completely out of place in my shabby-chic house. The store is well-done. And it's close to the house. And unlike it's sister shop Pottery Barn, West Elm actually has stuff in stock. read more

I love shopping at West Elm, I'm all about Mid Century Modern design. I'm redoing my apartment and I visit the store frequently, the service is a hit or miss. I've had great experiences with Jason, Catherine, and Sophia, others aren't as eager to help. If you're a low maintenance customer you'll be fine. Check out their sale corner it has some hidden gems. read more

Pretty slow service. They need to manage their employees better. The woman who assisted me was a manager anf was very carless. Tried to sell me two different color curtains. I Would try going to another west elm that is more detail oriented and has better customer service. read more

West elm is a great addition to our furniture store options in Miami. Many items are a bit overpriced but if you are patient you could get that special sofa, rug or accessory on sale. Their clearance section is not to be missed and sometimes they have very unique quirky items. I picked up my dining room chairs for $30 each - originally $149 and they were in perfect condition. Hit-or-miss. I had a great experience with a couch, that was quickly delivered and feels well-made. However, we bought a lamp that was very expensive and yet has a big "Made in China" sticker on it. It feels like it cost $30 to manufacture, and yet sold for over $200. We also had a delivery from the online store that did not arrive on the scheduled day, ruining our Saturday as we sat at home all day waiting. Finally, the store seems understaffed, and many items are not in stock. read more

In the process of opening a new location for my business I decided to give this location another try. I was a bit worried given my past experience but things have definitely changed. A big shout out to the current store manager Ann - AMAZING service. She really goes out of her way to help guests, from walking you around the store to find items, to looking at your existing design to select new pieces that are the perfect fit, to offering her email for follow-up. We couldn't have made our space fabulous without their help. We will be back! read more

I visited a few times and found a few things that I liked such a rug and some pillows that I put on the sofa that I bought elsewhere. They had a office desk that caught my eye, maybe will return for that. Overall good company and easy to deal with staff. Located with plenty of parking in the area. read more

Cheaply made furniture and horrible sales staff especially Katherine the manager! Their furniture falls apart and they will not offer you an exchange. I spent $300 on a chair and the leg broke off after 6 months of light use. Woah! The staff is truly amazing and I really think the managers should learn from the staff. I buy from West elm all the time and I know the store as if I worked there. Last week I went to the store looking for brackets and marble shelves when the staff asked the manager if they had any of the fan brackets left he said "those are just samples we do not sell those" I asked if another store might have them and again he responded "I'm the manager and I know what we sell and we do not sell those" I made him check and of course they had them to sell.... He never apologized. I would not ask for them if I did not know. Today I returned to west elm only because I love the staff and the manager said she would take care of me she was doing great until she said she was going to reassure that they had the chair I was looking for, my mother and I sat and waited for 15 or more minutes until I decided to stand up and a staff asked if I was still waiting (again great staff) I then noticed the manager with another client and on the phone. We could have stayed there forever but at least she could have sent a staff to tell us that the chair was not found or something.... She did apologize when I went to pick up the desk that the staff had helped me with but I don't think that is an error a manager should do especially because she knows I am a loyal customer and make large purchases at WestElm. I will not return to this store for a long time. It's sad because I love the location and the staff... read more

Don't bother ordering from this store, they will take your money and never deliver the product. If I could give "0" stars I would. Back in September I ordered the Monroe Mid-Century Chaise Lounger. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to deliver. Week 5 I called customer service and was told it was on its way from the manufacturer. Week 6 goes by still no call. I call again. Turns out the piece was delivered to West elm warehouse instead of my home. And as of now that is where it is, for the past 8 weeks. Every couple days I call and customer service tells me someone will call me back and no one does. To add insult to injury, West Elm two days ago just charged me the $1k for the piece I still don't have. If you call customer service, all they say is they will look into it and get back to me and no one ever does. By the way, unless you spend $10k there is no management or concierge service to help you. Be smarter than me and shop elsewhere. read more

love it, they have some nice things. In here got my bed in here and got my sofa from another local store that i recommeded. They have some nice stuff, its super busy in there on saturdays. I have been in and out multiple times over the last few months as a recent transplant from New York. I work with Richard, who is fantastic, patient and funny - everything you could want in a sales associate. He has a great sense of style and legitimately cares and follows up to make sure that I am happy and everything is cohesive in my new home. I have had some issues with customer service from the corporate side (note: they no longer do price adjustments), but the management at this store has gone above and beyond to make sure that I am taken care of. I have worked with Javier and Corina who are both problem-solvers and lovely people. They make up for what is lacking in higher-up management from West Elm corporate. The delivery situation is suspect: certain things take longer than they should. For example: I purchased a leather chair. It sat in Pompano Beach (an hour away) for weeks. My friends at West Elm called up and asked what the deal was - I got the phone call minutes later that it was ready for delivery. Some things do take following up (and shouldn't) - but the folks at this location are here to help. The chair was then delivered damaged, but two of the team members followed up within minutes (and then again to confirm), and I am receiving a new one shortly. I'm reviewing the store as a separate entity from their corporate infrastructure, as I think that's only fair. If you want cool pieces (I love the pillows, table lamps and candles) at reasonable prices (for an upscale place), go see my friends at this location. Don't be surprised if it takes some following up - but it has all been taken care of for me and very much well worth the wait. read more
