First visit to this new location at 3400 Shops Around Lenox. Clearly I was invisible. The only staff at the store front clearly agreed. She walked past me without saying hello or to check if I need any help. The store may not be cold, but the atmosphere sure felt cold. To be fair, the only time I bought something from West Elm was a lamp. However I thought maybe I should give this place a chance. Was looking for some new pillows and perhaps a new coffee table, clearly this is not a place for me. I would stick to Crate & Barrel then. read more

I went into this location the Tuesday after Labor Day to take advantage of their extended sale. I purchased a Harris sleeper sectional WITH a storage chaise, as you can see on the paper receipt I have from the store. 6 weeks later only the chaise was delivered and I'm now being told that there was a "glitch" in the system and they only ordered the chaise and the entire couch is no longer available so I have to find something else. Not only is this a huge inconvenience in general, I am due to have a baby November 3rd so don't have another 6 weeks to wait for a couch, maybe if they would have notified me in advance that they messed up and didn't order the entire thing I could have made arrangements but now I will be returning the chaise and no longer spending money at west elm. Their furniture is too expensive to deal with problems like this. It would be one thing if I ordered it wrong online or something but I took the time to go into the store and have the employee order it for me and they didn't even do it right.. and now I have to be available for them to schedule a pick up for a refund - even tho it is their fault that it was messed up. They won't accept a return to the store even tho that would prevent me having to take off work to be available for the pick up. A huge inconvenience for a problem caused by the store. Where do I even start? I would not recommend anyone to purchase furniture from West Elm! The experience so far has been absolutely terrible. Save yourself some money and a headache. Their customer service is rude and not accommodating and I ordered furniture on December 12th and still have yet to receive my full order and it is now March. I do respect the fact that we are in a global pandemic, but the constant pushing back of delivery dates (it seems like it every other week) is completely insane! How do you spend over $6,000 with a company and they have no regard for you as a customer? This will be my last time EVER purchasing furniture with them. West Elm get it together. You're losing customers by the minute with your unprofessionalism and undelivered items. I'm tired of holding my breath hoping that I will receive my furniture. I love West Elm for the simple fact that's it's a great decorating inspiration store. It's a contemporary furniture store that has a lot of what I would call retro chic furniture that gives you 1950's nostalgia as far as design and style. They have tons of accent accessories to complete any look you're going for, I have bought their bar accessories such as shakers, decanters, and wine glasses. You can find nice throw pillows, and bed linens. Located at the shopping stores around Lenox Mall right beside Dantanna's so there is dedicated parking right in front of the store. read more

This store had a system failure and 'acidentally' charged my card $42 and said the charge never posted. I show them that the funds cleared, I called my bank they say the funds cleared and the still refuse to give me a refund or give me the items they charged me for. They then tell me that they will credit that amount towards another order I placed and would remove the hold to reflect the new charged amount....LIES. Still charged the same amount. So they literally took $42 from me and gave nor offered me ANYTHING. Stole my money.DO NOT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION. I am still pissed and it has been 3 days. For many years I have shopped at west elm . Like the furniture however they lost me as a customer . I ordered a lamp September 15th and received it today November 21 that's beyond slow. Don't be fooled by their estimated delivery windows. Plan on at least double the time estimated to receive your furniture. I recently order a bed that said would be delivered in 2-4 weeks. After waiting 9 1/2 weeks it is now ESTIMATED to be delivered at 13 weeks, which will probably never happen. West Elm does not let you know something is delayed until the last day of the delivery window so that you will not cancel your order. This same situation has happened 3 times. West Elm is the problem, not supply chain issues. I placed orders with 4 other furniture companies and items arrived on or before their promised delivery date. I will never purchase furniture here again. read more

I have spent thousands of dollars at West Elm over the past few years, and I'm currently purchasing furniture for a new home. I decided to visit this location instead of the Ponce store because I was in the Buckhead area. The staff did not say one word to me upon walking in and just talked mostly amongst themselves. It was Sunday, and the traffic was slow, so initially, I thought the lack of engagement was because of COVID-19 precautions until a white woman without a mask entered the store. The salesman nearly tripped over a sofa running to greet her. It was so appalling to me that we were basically invisible and treated so poorly. I love the Andes sectional and the Pedestal dining table, but I will likely take my business elsewhere after I contact corporate to file a formal complaint. read more

Lots of negative reviews, here to post a good one about Kelly (assistant manager) at the Avalon store. She is hands down one of the best employees I have had experience of working with in any retail environment. She kept a close eye on a table we ordered, notified us of a delay, and then let us know about the same table (diff color and size) that landed in their stock room. She emailed me immediately, got the price down to basically what we paid for the first one, AND set up white glove delivery all in 48 hours. I am now sitting at my (perfect) new dining table all thanks to Kelly. read more

Do not shop at this location and leave the parking lot for any reason. The property mgmt firm has Empire Parking watching all activity, and they will boot your car even if you are shopping at one of the shops like West Elm. Take a step off the property, even after shopping there, and get booted immediately. If you actually need something from West Elm, you should go to another location where there is more courtesy of boarded customer is willing to spend huge amounts of money on home goods. read more

Do not shop at this miserable store. I have never dealt with such a motley bunch of people, especially after spending so much money to order something. Ordered a table that was scheduled for dec 21 and it didn't arrive until Dec 31. Went to go have it delivered to the house and they acted like we were doing them a disservice even though it's an offered service. I even said 'happy new year' with a friendly smile on the way out and the guy helping us remained silent and just frowned at us. We were given a four hour window for the delivery. When they missed the window, I called to check on the status. They said they would call back after checking on it. After an hour I had to call back again. They said they had no idea where it was and when we asked how long it would take they said 'I don't know, where do you live?' While waiting on the number for the delivery service they left me on hold for 10 minutes and hung up. I called back and she said 'I'm just happy they showed up at all' as if it was a surprise that a service we paid a lot for was fulfilled in any capacity. The lady on the phone was enormously rude and finally said 'they will be there soon, you live close by'. Why did she asked where we lived if they already knew? I remained calm and friendly and was met with nothing but condescending attitudes. When the delivery person arrived 30 minutes late, he said west elm didn't even provide him with a phone number to notify us of his delay. He seemed to agree that the store does not have their act together. By the way, the contracted delivery service also treated me as if I was doing something wrong when all I wanted to do was find a time to expect my package because of an appointment I needed to keep later. I was on hold with them for 15 minutes before just hanging up. Incidentally, I missed the appointment. Terrible sad people who treat everyone as if they want to bring them down to sadness with them. I got the impression of enormous entitlement and that customers should be treated as if we are all rich Buckhead snobs. Will go out of my way to discourage people from shopping there and warn anyone who mentions the name of this pathetic operation. read more
