The owner Diana is one of the sweetest and funniest humans ever. Her husband Bryan is also very kind and friendly. It's always a pleasant visit to their storefront. Have loved supporting this business since the early days in the night markets! This is my go-to for purchasing the best smelling gifts or small trinkets/art for my friends and family. Need to also mention that ABW does a fabulous job at championing/collaborating with local artisans who reflect the diversity within the fabric of Portland's art culture--not only offering high quality products, but operating with great integrity and heart.

Natalie was fantastic about contacting me over email instead of calling and keeping me up-to-date about delivery. She originally told me, due to a wedding, she wouldn't be able to do the delivery on Saturday, but hours later, she got done early and scheduled the delivery. It really helped this daughter living in Europe, who misses her mom so much, surprise her mother with some beautiful flowers for her birthday. Thank you! Thank you! I have long been a fan of the candles for their gorgeous scents that are always just right on par. The scents are so well thought out, all of the combinations, that you never have one scent that's over powering another. They just work well together and help your space to feel more welcoming. So as far as candies go, you can't go wrong with these. They are by far my favorite and I'm a "super smeller," so that means a lot for me to say. The rest of the store is curated with local merchants goods. Jewelry, blankets, coffee cups and water bottles, wool hats, caramels, chocolates...you name it, you can find a lovely gift there! I did quite a bit of Christmas shopping there since I'd rather infuse my locally earned money into our local economy and support local businesses. I'm so excited to gift these unique and special items. And of course I got myself a "High Desert," "Festive Forest," and "Cypress & Spruce" candle to bring home for my house.
