I visited this place during a lunch hour. Boy was it a wasted trip.
I had an Amazon Local voucher entitling me to one large pasty, a snack and a drink. As a result I left my office without cash and just the voucher on my smartphone, expecting things to run as smoothly as my other Amazon Local purchases have at other nearby restaurants like Tossed and Leon.
Absolutely not. As I arrive I present my smartphone voucher and it's immediately refused. I'm given an unconvincing lecture about how they can't accept it on my phone unless there's a way to ensure it's not redeemable again. (Despite no feature existing). They can't accept vouchers either because they don't have the retailers smartphone app. They can't write down my voucher number but do mention they "might" accept a print-out "later on", despite this being exactly the same as writing down or taking a picture of my code.
In essence I was treated poorly and in the end despite going through all their concerns, didn't get any food, having to go back to the office and purchase something else from Sainsbury's.
Amazon did refund me in the end, but I have no idea why companies like this sign up to voucher sites if they have no way of redeeming said vouchers or even trying to come up with a compromise with a new and potential customer.
This said, I won't be ever visiting this establishment or business again and hope this review helps anyone else who is considering purchasing vouchers for this company from any of the voucher type sites. It's definitely not worth the hassle, even if this is a one-off isolated incident. read more
