First time trying West Coast Philly's. We got a Whiz, a West Coast Philly, and an order of fries. You can tell they use quality ingredients!! The Amoroso rolls are excellent, no gristle or chewy pieces of steak. The fries had a great crisp to them.
My biggest complaint overall was the flavor. The fries were way too salty to the point that it overpowered the thin, watery ranch I got on the side, as well as some ketchup I used at home. I think they could be great with less salt. The steak, meanwhile, was just black pepper. I couldn't taste anything else but black pepper. Given the quality of the ingredients, I am disappointed that the ribeye was over seasoned that much. It was edible, but what a strange sensation in my mouth, munching on fresh, quality ingredients that should taste delicious, but only tasting black pepper.
I will assume it was an off night for seasoning and try them again another time. Hopefully next time they won't be so heavy-handed with the S&P! read more
