Javier and his team installed our vinyl fence today. Good workmanship and reasonable price. Cleaned the area before leaving the premises. Highly recomended. Edgar - Mira Mesa read more

I disagree with many of the statements made in this response because they are simply not accurate. I hired this contractor in good faith, and one of the reasons I chose him was because he is also a Marine Corps veteran. As a disabled Marine Corps veteran myself, I believed we shared the same values of honesty, integrity, and standing behind our work. At no point did I threaten the contractor with physical harm or demand a $1,500 discount. My concern from the beginning was that I was charged $3,000 for approximately 66 feet of fencing while my neighbor was charged only $1,600 for approximately 51 feet. The explanation for the price difference changed multiple times. Initially, I was told my section cost more because my neighbor's existing posts would be reused. In the end, new posts were installed on both properties, eliminating the reason originally given for the significant price difference. I also raised concerns about the workmanship. Before the project began, we specifically agreed there would be no gaps at the bottom of the fence because I wanted to keep animals from entering my yard. The finished fence contains multiple gaps, meaning I now have to purchase additional lumber and make repairs myself. These concerns were legitimate and directly related to the work performed. The claims that I threatened violence, demanded a $1,500 discount, or am 6'4" and 280 pounds are false. I am 5'9". While our conversation became heated over the pricing and workmanship, I never threatened to harm anyone. The contractor also states that he has video evidence and intends to involve authorities. If such evidence exists, I welcome it because it will show what actually occurred rather than the version of events presented here. My review reflects my honest experience as a customer based on the pricing, inconsistent explanations, communication, and the quality of the finished work. I stand by that review and will let others decide for themselves. read more

Just had my second fence installed by West Coast Fence. The first was done about 18 months ago when Javier bailed me out of a project that was over my head. This time his man Robert put up a beautiful cedar fence. The quality of the material was very good and the craftsmanship was outstanding. Everything was in perfect alignment and put together with care. The crew showed up on time and got right to work unloading the truck. My neighbor (who shares the fence) and I signed some paperwork, and West Coast Fence started up. The job took just a few hours for a 32 foot fence. Javier quoted a fair price for the work, especially considering that the cost of building materials has skyrocketed lately. I am very, very happy with the work and would recommend West Coast Fence to anyone looking to have a fence installed. read more

Javier did an excellent job! Hired him to put up a vinyl fence, and it looks great. He was responsive, on time, professional and friendly. Job was done in 2 days. Very satisfied with outcome. Gave us a fair and reasonable price. read more

Great initial response and estimate process. Mediocre customer service once hired. Wood came with termites (pics are 4 days after install). When I reached out to Javier (owner) about the termites he stated that it is "virtually impossible for lumber to come with termites". Even so, he promised to provide me with an oil-based stain to treat/prevent the termites from spreading. That was three months ago. Still waiting... Would not recommend. read more

OMG!!! Had Javier out for an estimate. Things going well. Another company showed up early for a second estimate, Javier totally flew off the handle, shoved all his paperwork back into his folder and said to me "how rude, having a second person here at the same time". He stood up and stormed back to his truck. He didn't say a word to either of us, and sped off down the street. Talk about "rude". What was he afraid of, a little competition??? If that's the way West Coast Fencing conducts business, you don't need them. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND WEST COAST FENCING!!!!!! read more

Exceptional !! Great workmanship and professionalism. Contacted West Coast after several other fence companies. Some didn't even show nor had the decency to return my call or wanted an outrageous amount for what I was asking for. Then, Javier the owner contacted me, came over and looked at the gate and gave me a reasonable quote. I took it. I watched as they removed the old gate and replaced it with an entirely different type, my choice. They constructed the gate right there on the spot. I was really impressed. Money well spent. Makes my yard look 100% different and great. Kudos to Javier and his crew. Search no further, he's the man. read more

Kinda slow in responding and then said only work with owner although as property manager I was paying.

We were very pleased with the timely matter and at an affordable price with which Javier from West Coast fence company, installed our 6 foot vinyl fence and 2 gates for us and our Neibor's yards... He also got rid of the old fence and left our yard looking clean with no debris... We would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a new vinyl fence... Javier is polite has a lot or patients with the customer and he is a straight shooter.. He does what he says he is going to do and we are very happy with his results.. read more

We had javier come out to do 4 bordering fence lines for a total of about 200 feet between 4 neighbors. He came out as the cheapest and when talking with him, he was personable and easy to talk to so we trusted him. He separated the job into 3, one was the main fence line that was about 100 feet and then a 50' section and another 50' section. He finished 150' total and was scheduled to come back 2 days later to finish the rest. 2 days later he calls my neighbor and says he's been in a car accident and can't show up. Understand completely, stuff happens. After 1 week, i give him a call and ask if he's okay and when he plans on scheduling the rest of the work to be done. He says he doesn't know and he doesn't have a car - his attitude was completely "not my problem". The funny thing is i can literally hear him driving with his blinkers on and his engine in the background of the car. I ended up not having a fence with one of my neighbors for one month since he never finished the job and booking another contractor takes awhile for scheduling and quoting. Javier and his crew were very proficient, professional, and always on time. They did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Javier for all of your fencing needs. He is also very affordable with fair pricing compared to other fence companies. Thank you again, Javier and crew, for our beautiful fence and delivering exactly what you promised . I called because we bought a new house and needed a border fence put in to line our property and keep out dogs in the yard. Javier was nice, professional and HONEST. He was forward, no bullshit, worked with us (it is our first time doing this) and delivered great quality work in a timely manner. I would recommend him to anyone I know moving forward! 10/10 would recommend! Good value for your money in quality of materials, service and time. read more

Javier did a great job at our commercial property. Fair price and great costumer service.

West Coast Fence was contacted on Monday for an estimate. Javier came out that afternoon, gave a quote, arrived the next morning at 8:00 AM and we had a new 72' by 6' cedar fence with two gates by 6:00 PM. The demolition, removal of the old fence, and clean-up was extremely well done. Very friendly and reasonable. West Coast Fence will be our go-to when we need another fence. Thanks Javier and crew! read more

This was the second time I hired Javier because he did such an excellent job on the new white vinyl fence he installed at my house. My son's house had a fence that he wanted removed and made into a gate to create a dog run for their new puppy. Javier and his team were on time, fast, efficient, polite, respectful and neat while creating and installing the gate we wanted. read more

Got a quote from Javier to install a fence topper. Gave a good price and agreed to start the next morning. His crew came out and did the initial installation and came back the next day to finish. If you get work from this company, ask for Roberto and Angel to do the work. Very professional and outstanding results. read more

I hired West Coast Fence to install a fence across a steep hill. At the end of it, I have the fence I asked for - but they did a mediocre job, didn't finish, and didn't show up when they said. It started Ok - they said they'd show up on a Monday, but ended up showing up on Tuesday. Then, they said they'd come back to finish on Wednesday - but didn't come, and I had to call only to find out that they planned to come the following day. They did show up on Thursday, but didn't tell me what time they were coming. They showed up late on the first day (9:15 for an 8:30 start). So I figured they'd be late, and did an early errand myself. They came early, and weren't happy about me not being there. Honestly, all of that would have been Ok, if he'd finished the job properly: - He didn't have the caps for the trimmed fence posts, so I ended up with just the ragged cut off posts. - He'd agreed to put in snake wire, but forgot until I reminded him. - In his rush to put in the snake wire he forgot, he unburied the tops of 3 or 4 of the posts - I had to re-bury them myself. I ordered the post caps, and cleaned up the burial of the fence posts and the snake wire. I wouldn't recommend West Coast Fencing. read more

I called West Coast Fence after getting several bids from other companies. West Coast Fence stood out from all the rest. Javier (the owner) came out, sat down and worked up a quote right on spot. Javier was so nice and personable and his price was one of the best. We agreed to schedule the job for a for a few weeks out as their schedule was full. Javier managed to get the job scheduled in a matter of day. His crew showed up on time as promise. They were very professional and friendly. They did an amazing job including clean up and hauling away the old fence. Thank you Javier and crew for a job well done! read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. I do like doing business with local firms, having been a business owner over the years. Called and made an appointment for someone to come out to write an estimate for a fence replacement/repair. The person was to come at 10AM today. At 10:30 I called and the gentleman who answered said he had sent Javier, who clearly didn't bother to show up! He made some pretty good noises that sounded like nothing but excuses. I explained that I had to dress and be at a meeting at noon today. Then he said he'd come himself and asked for my address, etc. After that he said he would be here in about a half hour!!!! This, after I had just told him I had a meeting to go to. Clearly this is not the best businessman around. I will NEVER have anything to do with this company and I will assuredly tell my neighbors that we don't do business with West Coast Fence. There's nothing more I can say. It matters not that they've done superb work for others; their failure to even show up negates all of the other reviews I had read. read more

This Fence company is not interested in small work or job. Discrimination! He ask me to find another one that can do my fence.

While the reviews are mixed, I can only comment on our wonderful experience with West Coast Fence. Javier came out exactly when he said he would and gave us an estimate. They came on a Saturday and the fence went up in less than a day and it looks great. The workers were extremely pleasant, professional, and very honest. I would definitely hire them again! read more

Awesome service and workers were professional. They set up a nice redwood fence in my back patio. Would definitely seek them out again.

Javier did a great job repairing our fence. He said he could repair our fence and that we did not have to replace it which was great. Javier did an excellent job on our fence! He gave us a very fair estimate and, because we were using white lattice in the fence, brought us the treated lumber early so we could paint it before he and his colleague built the fence. It turned great!!! Javier did the work as promised and on time. You can't ask for anything better. Thanks Javier!!!! read more

Javier and his brother-in-law are terrific. They do a fast, quality job at the agreed-upon price, no dickering. In fact, throughout our design process, Javier repeatedly came out to our home in Pt. Loma and contributed design ideas and repriced as we changed our vision.. His flexibility and quality work are to be commended as is his total commitment to the customer's satisfaction. We've just completed over 60 feet of both vinyl and wood fencing and I could not be happier that we chose West Coast Fence. Oh...and true to his word, his bid was significantly lower than the other two bids we received from major fencing companies. read more

These guys are great. Javier and his colleague removed a dilapidated old fence and installed a new fence with a beautiful new gate in one day. They were on time AND thoroughly cleaned up after they were done. Even removing some junk I had in the yard that had nothing to do with them! I highly recommend West Coast Fence. read more

West Coast built a beautiful fence at my house. I called a bunch of different contractors and fence companies for quotes, Javier provided the best attention and overall service from the start. I changed my mind a few times during the project and he was very easy to work with (unlike me) at all but he didn't seem to care how many times I changed my mind. His work was definitely under-promised and over-delivered. I'm one happy camper and my house looks awesome. 10/10 would use again. read more

Great work done, really happy with the outcome. They finished within a week, our fence looks great

Javier gave me a great and honest estimate, covered everything I would want to know about putting up a new fence, and was the complete professional in handling his work. He and his team work hard to get things to how you like them and do excellent work. I was referred to him by someone who was equally as happy with the work as I ended up being. I looked at 6 companies including West Coast and his was end to end the best. Great prices, professional estimate, and thorough inspection. A great guy and I would easily recommend him to anyone looking for great work. read more

Javier was very nice, polite and did excellent work on taking down our old fence and putting up a new one. Highly recommend!!!

Contracted with West Coast Fence to expand my front patio and install white vinyl fencing. Required an extra yard of concrete work. West Coast Fence was by far the lowest bid. Javier was always on time and finished sooner than projected and within budget. Would highly recommend West Coast Fence for any concrete work or fencing. Very professional and courteous read more

West Coast Fence put up our fence, and did such a terrible job, that we had to call on another fence company to come and fix the work they had done. They were very kind when they bid the job. Stay away from this guy. Does low quality work.
