They took the time to answer my questions, helped me better highlight my experience, and made sure my resume and cover letter were stronger for the positions I am applying for. I really appreciated how supportive and easy they were to work with, and I would definitely recommend Career Services to anyone who needs help preparing for their job search.

I needed all the help I could get, and Evelyn was SUPER kind and non-judgmental during my first and very rough round of answering interview questions. During our first mock interview, I was sweating through my shirt and she was so understanding (I was a nervous wreck even though it was a mock interview). She gave great pointers and I ended up making a second appointment with her for another mock interview; the second time around, I looked forward to it (but of course was still nervous). Everything she suggested I do/say---I DID and let me tell you that it paid off! I cannot wait to start working at the end of this month. T H A N K Y O U E V E L Y N !! !! I am so lucky and fortunate to have learned from you; you are great at what you do. I am forever grateful :)

For CNA Angie was tough and obnoxiously strict on everything. The stress of her hawlk eyes coming to inspect your resident and his/her room was killer but it made me a good CNA. I also did LVN there when it was 2000.00. The instructors : Mrs. Breed (I also had for HHA) is tough but it's all well meaning. She was on me a lot over small little things it was annoying but all to make me better. Mrs. Dietz who is amazingly supportive and sweet is like the mom of the program love her!! Mcpeak who is the director was nice fair and just overall laid back. Espinoza was an aide and did integ when I was there she was like dietz one of the nicest. The most serious one was cardio teacher don't remember her name but very fair and professional. The OB teacher back then cant remember her name was the worst!!! She literally seemed to personally dislike me and make me feel inadequate. She was the worst instructor there and seemed to make everything personal, she'd make kinda snarly rude comments at times . As a nurse now I look back at it all and see they were all overall amazing. They taught the respect and foundations needed for this field. When you leave rop into the field you realize how truely over educated you are by them, which is an awesome feeling !! Sadly they now mostly cater to high school students due to buget and regulations. LVN school here is tougher than RN school. It's hard work for adults to get in but DO IT!!

Apply for the LVN. the vocational nursing program. My instructor was amazing and helped me in all the areas of my life. Like a big sister with a stick, lol. I was successful and earned my LVN license. I worked several years as a LVN in many different setting. Part of the LVN program requires a candidate to train in all types of settings. I returned 10 years later and was hired to teach in the LVN program. ROP changed my life. The average cost for private nursing programs is between 20 ad 60,000. ROP is a public training center with mininmal cost. I would say go today, Enrol today. They will change your life. Do it. Today.

She was…read morestill there, guiding and teaching her students just as she had done when I was in nursing school. Seeing her brought back memories of myself as a nursing student several years ago. I graduated from Concord 9'2022 and Mr.Roya was my clinical instructor. During our clinical rotations, Ms.Roya went above and beyond to make sure we had opportunities to learn and gain hands on experience in different clinical settings. She was always proactive in communicating with staff and facility personnel and worked hard to create learning opportunities for her students. When we were at a clinical site, she paid close attention to every detail and constantly made sure that we were following proper procudures and staying safe. It made me realize how much of an impact she had on my education and how much i still appreciate everything she taught us. Looking back, I was thinking that she was little too strict with us. But now that I have graduated and have been working in a hospital for the past 3 years, I understand why she was that way. Her attention to detail, high standards, and emphasis on safety helped prepare me for the reality of working as a nurse. I sincerely recommend Concord to anyone who is serious about becoming an LVN. And if Ms.Roya is still a clinical instructor here, you can expect to receive real hands on experience and an instructor who will genuinely go the extra mile to make sure you learn as much as possible. That unexpected encounter after all these years is actually what inspired me to finally write this review.

Admissions guy was really friendly and answered all my questions and walked me through the entrance process and financial aid. Everyone was really friendly and personable and the classes I saw on the tour seemed engaged. Planning on a May start, they also cross-train X-Ray Techs as Medical Assistants, so win-win.

There were some details that turned me away, but it's too petty and ridiculous to post here at the moment. They had openings the very next month, but since classes only have 8-9 students, it's hard to believe that it wasn't full already. Although the classrooms looked cool, and I enjoyed the tour, there was this feeling like they were only after students' money and not their well-being. I guess I would have preferred speaking with one of the teachers, and not a counselor/advisor that doesn't quite have the expertise in the field. They have the limited X-ray license program for a year with morning/evening options. I forget the pricing, but I was told that many students choose this private schooling because of the community college waiting lists. Also, the presentation was extremely short and felt like it was cut short. Regardless, I would personally rather go through public education somewhere like Cypress, Mt. SAC, El Camino, LACC, etc.

I not only researched all the court reporting schools in the state of CA, but I researched schools all over the country, and I kept track of the numbers of licensed court reporters that they produced over an almost two decade period since. South Coast College has consistently produced more CA CSRs than any other school in the state, and they have also outperformed schools across the entire United States. I have personally seen more students fly through the program in one year in the last 17 years than any other school in the entire United States. And they are leaders in the number of first-time test passers. When court reporters can make more money annually than Harvard-trained lawyers and judges, the tuition at SCC should be no object. You need to view your training to become a court reporter as seriously as you would view a law school education. You are investing in your future! You want to align yourself with the BEST!
