If you grew up in the 70's and 80's and missed the Nostalgia of a Ponderosa.. then head to Wesley Rogers!! First time going there and I can honestly say the steak was very good (Ribeye) and then you get the whole buffet included!! Or just get the Buffet!!! Everything from Salad.. Fried Chicken, Pasta, Rolls, Soups, Desserts etc etc. The staff was extremely nice and helpful!!! There is nothing fancy about the place but it is not needed!!! Plus they use those cute little picks to tell you how the steak is cooked!!! read more

Food and service were both exceptional. I the only problem I had was overeating!! We had the buffet. TBH ere was Fried Chicken of course but there were also beef tips ( or pork tips, not sure because he called them pork but they tasted like beef.) I know they were sure good! The place is well lit, clean and quiet . Wished we lived closer. read more

We've had lunch here quite a few times. Everything they've served has been delicious and fresh. Their fried chicken is always hot and fresh, and worth going. We've gone for the brunch a couple times on the weekend. They offer breakfast items as well as the regular lunch choices. We've never ordered extras, but the steaks look great! The servers bring your drinks, and are always friendly. It's a pretty typical "cafeteria" style restaurant, and always well cared for. read more

First time here. It's nothing fancy but reminded me of ponderosa. Kind of a 90s nostalgia simple family buffet which I miss. There wasn't a huge variety. Salad bar, fried chicken and the typical home style sides, pizza, ham and dessert. There was also some residual food from brunch time. They do offer steak and grilled chicken as a separate entree which includes the buffet for a few bucks more. The fried chicken was pretty good, wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese, it was kind of mushy and the mashed potatoes were good. The host was very welcoming and our server was very kind and did a great job clearing the table and getting us refills. The buffet and the bathroom was clean and I appreciate them having sanitizer and gloves by the buffet. Nice place to go if you're in the area and want a simple home style meal. The read more

Everything was fresh! Fried chicken and tenderloin tips were excellent! Very fresh salad bar!

Pass if you don't want to eat tepid buffet food, to pay too much for poor choices and the quality isn't there

The third Monday of the month the Jeffco Republican Club meets here at 7. Even when they are busy with events I can find parking without a struggle. The food is good they have a small buffet but the steaks are the star and are very reasonably priced. The service is always good they are welcoming , responsive and watch their tables good. read more

Will not ever go back. For a place that calls itself a buffet they had little to no options. The salad lettuce was wilted and gross. Wanted to try the soup but there were no bowls. When we were seated a couple asked for their money back and left because they couldn't get silverware. The soda tasted like there was soap left in the cup so I asked for a new glass. The mashed potatoes were so runny when I put them on my plate they ran like I put gravy on my plate and the fried chicken was so dry my dog would choke trying to eat it. Worst place I have eaten in a long time. read more

Actually finding a buffet is hard ! Especially in Saint Louis. I took a trip to a river close by and so happen stopped here.. Wasn't as bad as the reviews say yea different area means different cuisines. I enjoyed the wings. the bread was good. Then green beans was very hot and flavorful aswell as the rice .. Let's not get started on desserts they wasn't so bad either I like the pan chocolate cake whatever it is that strawberry whipped Ghram cracker was good.. Actually smelled the cookies from The parking lots and those was baked perfect .. definitely will stop by again .. Decided to give this place another chance to improve. They failed miserably. I'm beginning to think that you have to be in your seventies to think their food is good. I will not waste my time or money trying to find something good to say about this restaurant. My advice is to go somewhere else or wait until you're 70 and your taste buds have stopped working. read more

Very little choice on buffet, 2 types of chicken and a a mystery meat, veggies were over cooked and mushy, and ridiculous cost for seniors. Will never set foot in this establishment again. read more

My waiter was Tricia and she was the sweetest ever, the food was amazing and it was very clean. I love everyone working here, they are all kind and professional. I loved this place and definitely recommend! read more

Always clean and friendly service. Also very helpful Food is always hot and fresh when we have been there. read more

Food was not great, no seasoning, expensive and my kids are still hungry because there was more food on their plate than in the belly. Disappointed! This place was a lot better before. The wait staff was incredible though! read more

Fried chicken is awesome! The others in my party loved the fried fish on Fridays. Pulled pork is good too! Love the dinner rolls & the honey butter. The meatballs are the only thing I can say I won't try again. Waitress, Ashley? One of the sisters is always so helpful and keeps our glasses full. read more

Salad bar was messy with food outside of containers, some tongs missing so guests had to resort to using spoons and tongs for items not intended for. Wings have the taste of fish. Are they using same oil for the fish and wings? Won't be back. I miss Ponderosa which was fantastic. read more

We tried this restaurant for the second time today and oh boy...we left more on our plates than we actually ate. The theme here was a complete lack of flavor. We tried a little of everything, and found a few food items that tasted decent like the fried chicken and the potato casserole, but everything else was tasteless mush. Almost the entirety of the customers there were elderly folks, which does track considering most everything tasted like it was right out of a nursing home. The sign over the buffet claiming 'farm fresh' ingredients was laughable. If the owners were to read this I'd suggest focusing on reducing prepackaged items and seasoning the food properly. The service, though, was fantastic. The wait staff was prompt and polite. read more

ordered Senior sirloin which went up 3.00 since last visit 21.99 new price were not busy on Saturday July1 took for ever for steak when i got it it looked a meatball maybe 2 in a hunk did not look like a steak at all this has never happened before so i said i wanted a refund which i got but they insisted it was a6 oz sirloin offered to show the box it came in i said you box may say 6 oz but would you eat this no response got to Texas Road house you can get a 11 oz sirloin 19.95 no comparison or a 6 oz i believe 14.99 you may get a salad bar but steak not even in texas roadhouse league . Very dissapointed may never go back been going here aprrox once a month up to every 6 weeks for 15 years . oh the salad bar and fried chicken very good. read more

I eat here pretty regularly when in the area. Don't go expecting a gourmet meal, its not; but it is a reasonably decent buffet with several good choices. Fried Chicken is especially decent, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings and other items. A lot of the food is stuff they might have in a cafeteria, but its ok quality. Its not as expensive or as expansive as Golden Corral, but its nice to be able to get a half decent steak and potato. Basically its still what it was as Ponderosa, few things have changed but the name outside. read more

First time here, was hoping for a buffet that was better than your typical Golden Coral or something. It was opposite. The ONLY decent item was the fried chicken, everything else was really dry and not seasoned at all. How do you mess up max and cheese?? My Son said even his lemonade was dry lmao...it's just bad especially for the price. Not very clean either, granted it was a busy Saturday night. If you like food from a can, I guess this might be your place. The whole meal our group was kinda laughing and making jokes about it all...we had fun...but that's not the experience we were looking for lol. If it was $5 a person I still wouldn't come back. Sorry folks read more

Used to be a ponderosa back in the day. Still has a buffet with hot items. Steaks are a little on the fatty side and thin.

I need choices, and A buffet seems to be the ideal way to satiate this need. Good food, aware friendly staff, and cleanliness are the three hallmarks of restaurant satisfaction. Wesley Roger has all of these things in spades. Everyone working here is happy to see you. I'm walker bound; The staff went out of their way to ensure I found what I needed and enjoyed my meal. As a senior citizen, I am price-conscious; the discounts available to older adults are reasonable, appropriate, and much appreciated. Service, food quality, value all top-shelf. read more

Fantastic owner. Speaks to customers by name. Every employee is friendly and personable. In an age when restaurants say "sorry we're understaffed " this is NEVER an issue here. Buffet is a joke. $17 for a buffet and soda. Other than salads and dessert there were not many choices. Food was good but not enough real food. Then they ran out of fried chicken. This was at 11:30 a.McReynolds disappointing read more

Big fan of this place. The staff hustles, the food is great, it's all you can eat, and super reasonably priced. Way better than Ponderosa. Can't think of a better place to eat in Arnold! read more

We had an issue while we were at the restaurant and the owner was rude and dismissive to us. Didn't bother asking us what was wrong and smirked at us as he told us to find our seats. He was very unprofessional and we will not be spending our money there again. There are alot of locally owned places with kind and hard working owners that treat people with respect, we will choose there in the future. The food wasn't even good anyway, but the waitress was wonderful and kind! She was the only nice part of the evening. read more

Food was awful. I use to eat there a lot when it was Ponderosa. This is the second time I tried this and will not be going back. They advertise 11.99 for senior buffet. I paid over $18.00. They charged extra because I paid with a card. Drink was high. I could have ate at Texas Roadhouse about same price and had good food. read more

Just tried calling this place with a few questions, never have been. Well, now I WON"T go, I called 4 times, each time the phone was hung up before anyone said anything. No hello, sorry, would you mind waiting? No nothing... that doesn't give my vote of confidence... read more

we go here pretty regularly. We love the simplicity of it Not a whole ton of options to choose from just a simple easy dinner or lunch

Very sad. We used to go there when it was Ponderosa and enjoyed their food and service most of the time. This is the third time we have given them "another try" since it changed names to Wesley Rogers. They will not get another opportunity to serve us bad food. This trip we left hungry and mad (and we paid to feel that way). We ordered a steak cooked medium well. They brought it out and it was bleeding. We sent it back and they brought it back and it was still bleeding. We sent it back again and the cook brought it out and it was charred black and asked us "to check and see if it's done now". It was literally CHARRED black! The people at the table across from us had the same problem. If you cannot cook steaks to order...then don't serve steak. read more

First plate had sauce under it. Seen a lady sneeze into her cupped hand and continued to the buffet to touch all the tongs. No labels on anything. Taco meat looked like that canned dog food. First and last time there. read more
