First time here. It's nothing fancy but reminded me of ponderosa. Kind of a 90s nostalgia simple family buffet which I miss. There wasn't a huge variety. Salad bar, fried chicken and the typical home style sides, pizza, ham and dessert. There was also some residual food from brunch time. They do offer steak and grilled chicken as a separate entree which includes the buffet for a few bucks more. The fried chicken was pretty good, wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese, it was kind of mushy and the mashed potatoes were good. The host was very welcoming and our server was very kind and did a great job clearing the table and getting us refills. The buffet and the bathroom was clean and I appreciate them having sanitizer and gloves by the buffet. Nice place to go if you're in the area and want a simple home style meal. The

Great food! Standard buffet fare. Reasonable prices. Fried chicken was fresh and crispy. All food was fresh.

The third Monday of the month the Jeffco Republican Club meets here at 7. Even when they are busy with events I can find parking without a struggle. The food is good they have a small buffet but the steaks are the star and are very reasonably priced. The service is always good they are welcoming , responsive and watch their tables good.

Always good food. Serve is great. Sundays they have a bigger selection of breakfast and dinner items.

Pass if you don't want to eat tepid buffet food, to pay too much for poor choices and the quality isn't there

Used to be a ponderosa back in the day. Still has a buffet with hot items. Steaks are a little on the fatty side and thin.

What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

Smokee Mo's BBQ - Don't Judge the Parking Lot…read more Hungry and tired after a long stretch from Chicago, a stop at Gateway Arch, and still miles to go toward Arkansas, we landed in Arnold just needing food and a place to land. From the parking lot... I'll be honest, we had doubts. The kind where you look at each other and silently ask, "Are we sure?" But we walked in anyway, and that's where the story turns. Inside, Smokee Mo's is all easygoing, country charm. Welcoming, unpretentious, and full of that "you're gonna be just fine here" energy. The service was friendly right away, no fuss, just good people doing their thing. Then the food showed up, and any hesitation disappeared fast. We shared pulled pork and brisket, with sides of broccoli casserole, beans, and potato salad, plus cheesy garlic bread because... obviously. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what you want when you've been on the road too long. No frills, just solid, comforting BBQ that hits the spot. Lesson learned (again): don't judge a place by its parking lot. Sometimes the best meals are hiding behind the most unassuming doors. If you're passing through and running on empty, this is the kind of stop that resets your mood and fills you up in all the right ways.

The lighting and music were at a good level to keep a conversation and see the menu. The menu is huge, and you can find anything you want on it. The chips were typical corn tortilla chips, but the salsa was outstanding, not too hot, and plenty of cilantro for your taste buds. The main dishes arrived in a decent time. I had the spicy Tacos with chicken and chorizo; it was fantastic, a little spicy. The chorizo had a smoky flavor, and the chicken was not tough. Side dishes, rice, and beans. The rice was not sticky at all, and the beans had a smoky flavor unlike that of other Mexican restaurants. They were very tasty. The extra beef taco was filled with beef, no shortcuts there. Wife had the pableno dish. I tried the beef, which was very tender, and the pableno was excellent. My daughter and my wife said the shrimp were bigger than at most restaurants and had a great flavor. ( I'm allergic and could not try the shrimp) My daughter's dish was the spicy Nachos. Again, the beef was the most tender I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant, and I loved the white cheese queso and chorizo. It all just came together. This Mexican Restaurant is definitely a winner in my book. I will be back to try many other dishes. By the way, we went on a Monday night around 7:00 pm, it was not very busy at all.
