First time going there and I can honestly say the steak was very good (Ribeye) and then you get the whole buffet included!! Or just get the Buffet!!! Everything from Salad.. Food and service were both exceptional. I the only problem I had was overeating!! We had the buffet. TBH ere was Fried Chicken of course but there were also beef tips ( or pork tips, not sure because he called them pork but they tasted like beef.) I know they were sure good! We've had lunch here quite a few times. Everything they've served has been delicious and fresh. Their fried chicken is always hot and fresh, and worth going. We've gone for the brunch a couple times on the weekend. They offer breakfast items as well as the regular lunch choices. We've never ordered extras, but the steaks look great! First time here. It's nothing fancy but reminded me of ponderosa. Kind of a 90s nostalgia simple family buffet which I miss. There wasn't a huge variety. Salad bar, fried chicken and the typical home style sides, pizza, ham and dessert. There was also some residual food from brunch time. They do offer steak and grilled chicken as a separate entree which includes the buffet for a few bucks more. The fried chicken was pretty good, wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese, it was kind of mushy and the mashed potatoes were good. The host was very welcoming and our server was very kind and did a great job clearing the table and getting us refills. Will not ever go back. For a place that calls itself a buffet they had little to no options. The salad lettuce was wilted and gross. Wanted to try the soup but there were no bowls. When we were seated a couple asked for their money back and left because they couldn't get silverware. The soda tasted like there was soap left in the cup so I asked for a new glass. The mashed potatoes were so runny when I put them on my plate they ran like I put gravy on my plate and the fried chicken was so dry my dog would choke trying to eat it. The third Monday of the month the Jeffco Republican Club meets here at 7. Even when they are busy with events I can find parking without a struggle. The food is good they have a small buffet but the steaks are the star and are very reasonably priced. Actually finding a buffet is hard ! Especially in Saint Louis. I took a trip to a river close by and so happen stopped here.. Wasn't as bad as the reviews say yea different area means different cuisines. I enjoyed the wings. the bread was good. Then green beans was very hot and flavorful aswell as the rice .. Let's not get started on desserts they wasn't so bad either I like the pan chocolate cake whatever it is that strawberry whipped Ghram cracker was good.. Actually smelled the cookies from The parking lots and those was baked perfect .. definitely will stop by again .. Decided to give this place another chance to improve. They failed miserably. I'm beginning to think that you have to be in your seventies to think their food is good. ordered Senior sirloin which went up 3.00 since last visit 21.99 new price were not busy on Saturday July1 took for ever for steak when i got it it looked a meatball maybe 2 in a hunk did not look like a steak at all this has never happened before so i said i wanted a refund which i got but they insisted it was a6 oz sirloin offered to show the box it came in i said you box may say 6 oz but would you eat this no response got to Texas Road house you can get a 11 oz sirloin 19.95 no comparison or a 6 oz i believe 14.99 you may get a salad bar but steak not even in texas roadhouse league . We tried this restaurant for the second time today and oh boy...we left more on our plates than we actually ate. The theme here was a complete lack of flavor. We tried a little of everything, and found a few food items that tasted decent like the fried chicken and the potato casserole, but everything else was tasteless mush. Almost the entirety of the customers there were elderly folks, which does track considering most everything tasted like it was right out of a nursing home. The sign over the buffet claiming 'farm fresh' ingredients was laughable. If the owners were to read this I'd suggest focusing on reducing prepackaged items and seasoning the food properly. I eat here pretty regularly when in the area. Don't go expecting a gourmet meal, its not; but it is a reasonably decent buffet with several good choices. Fried Chicken is especially decent, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings and other items. A lot of the food is stuff they might have in a cafeteria, but its ok quality. Its not as expensive or as expansive as Golden Corral, but its nice to be able to get a half decent steak and potato. The ONLY decent item was the fried chicken, everything else was really dry and not seasoned at all. How do you mess up max and cheese?? We had an issue while we were at the restaurant and the owner was rude and dismissive to us. Didn't bother asking us what was wrong and smirked at us as he told us to find our seats. He was very unprofessional and we will not be spending our money there again. There are alot of locally owned places with kind and hard working owners that treat people with respect, we will choose there in the future. Very sad. We used to go there when it was Ponderosa and enjoyed their food and service most of the time. This is the third time we have given them "another try" since it changed names to Wesley Rogers. They will not get another opportunity to serve us bad food. This trip we left hungry and mad (and we paid to feel that way). We ordered a steak cooked medium well. They brought it out and it was bleeding. We sent it back and they brought it back and it was still bleeding. We sent it back again and the cook brought it out and it was charred black and asked us "to check and see if it's done now". It was literally CHARRED black! The people at the table across from us had the same problem. If you cannot cook steaks to order...then don't serve steak. read more
