Oh goodness... the dentist anxiety is real!! The last time I had a dentist appointment (different…read moredental office), it was NOT a good experience and I never wanted to go back to another dentist again. But I chipped my tooth. And it kept chipping. So I had to call someone... just not the last one I saw. I also don't have dental insurance, so I was researching which dental offices near me offered in house dental plans. There was a bunch, but I decided to go here since most of the reviews were positive and encouraging! I saw Dr. Kim and he's very chill and friendly! Nina was the assistant and omg I loved her!!! I was expecting to get my tooth pulled or something, but Dr. Kim said I needed a crown which made me happy to hear I didn't have to pull the tooth. I let them know I had bad dentist anxieties and they wanted to hear what happened during my last dental treatment. I even asked Nina if she could hold my hand during the numbing and she really made me feel safe during the entire time! I signed up for their in house dental plan. It's $199 + tax for a year. OH AND THEY HAVE NETFLIX!!!! Yes! There's a tv on the ceiling haha and you can choose a show or movie to watch while they work on your teeth. Honestly, that helped distract me a lot! I'm truly grateful for the both of them for making sure I was comfortable during my appointment!

A few weeks ago, I had a dental appointment at Dr. William Lum's office. However, because Dr. Lum…read morewas not available on the day I requested, I agreed to see Dr. Yuree instead. I was greeted by Liz, the dental assistant who walked me into Dr. Yuree's office. Liz prepared me for Dr. Yuree in a very professional, yet caring manner. She made small talk with me and I found her to be quite friendly and caring. Throughout the somewhat complicated work on my teeth, Dr. Yuree was so pleasant and quite informative as to what she was doing. At the same time, Liz took good care of me and responded to all my requests. Both Dr. Yuree and Liz were so gentle with their movements that I dozed off a few times and I was reminded to keep my mouth open. I definitely recommend this establishment to my friends and family or to anyone looking for a great dental staff.

Let me start off by saying David Lum himself is so kind and great!…read more His staff however make me never want to go back... To preface this, I have been going to them for years and have put up with a lot of crap from the workers but today, wow, made me never want to go back.... About a year ago the older receptionist gave me a lot of attitude and I don't even think she's a dental hygienist but she told the hygienist she'd handle my cleaning.... And of course, wouldn't you guess it? She claimed to have found 3 cavities.... I had eaten a protein bar earlier in the day and when Dr. Lum came in to see me I told him that and he said the "give" in the tooth the lady claimed she found could have been that. Seriously.... How dishonest.... Felt like she was just trying to create something wrong so I would have to spend more money to take care of it... Ever since then I have been so skeptical going back... I don't know the older receptionist's credentials so I didn't report it when it happened... Today, I got to my appointment early and they took me 8 minutes late. The dental hygienist I had felt like she was new... she had no spatial awareness whatsoever and as soon as she leaned me back she shoved the plaque scraper in my mouth and made me tongue bleed... She did my x-rays and kept pushing the machine against my face... Then as we were going through the cleaning she kept jabbing me with her tools and there was a point where she stuck the water sucker to the inside of my cheek to make it stay.... I move it off because it was uncomfortable... When she flossed my teeth she let the used floss drag across my face as she tried to get my other teeth... Then at the end after Dr. Lum had seen me and left, she apologized for stabbing my tongue and blamed it on me saying that my tongue moved and that's why I got stabbed.... Since when is that an apology? She basically told me "I'm sorry it's your fault"... I wasn't speaking or even moving for that matter... My teeth weren't problematic before my visit and it took an hour after my visit for my gums to stop throbbing ... She said she found my plaque on my top teeth yet my bottom teeth/ gums were in a lot of pain after the appointment... I thought back to my appointment before this one when the receptionists gave me a little calendar and they asked me why I go to them and not somewhere closer the where I live... Both the younger and older receptionists made me feel unwelcomed with that comment so I guess moving forward, I'll be looking for a new dentist... In the years I've went here, I have had one dental hygienist I liked and the Dr himself is great.... That's why they get 2 stars... For them.... They are the real MVP's/ stars... The rest of the staff there though, no thank you... I do not recommend this place! Unless you like waiting past your appointment time, getting bogus claims you have cavities that the doctor confirms really might not even be one, dental hygienists that make you bleed and your gums throb, and unfriendly receptionists ...

They were either always on vacation or just closed. I went in recently to ask them some questions and they weren't as friendly as I would expect such a small office to be. They were helpful though when I asked them about insurance but didn't seem too enthusiastic when I told them I wanted to make an appointment. So I told them I would call to schedule since I didn't know when I could make it yet. And I actually ended up going somewhere else...something just wasn't inviting about that place. But my bf still goes there and we just went in today to see if we could make an appointment for him (we just go in since it's so close). And guess what, they were closed again, but thankfully they were coming back in a few hours. I guess they were on lunch since we got there around noon but the door said they would return at 2:30p...over a two hour lunch, really? And the next available isn't for over another month! I think they're going on vacation AGAIN because I never really see any patients there and it doesn't seem like a busy office. My bf also gets a lot of plaque on his lower front teeth and the only thing they ever tell him is that he needs to brush better. The plaque builds up pretty bad down there and I'm pretty sure there's something else they can suggest to prevent it because he brushes it super good down there! Also, they don't do any oral surgery so they recommend you to one. Oh and his teeth have a lot of gaps in them and they never said anything about getting braces when he was growing up. Every time I look up this dentist nothing really shows up, no review or anything. Basically, I don't know if I would recommend them to anyone.

A day before Thanksgiving, my gum area where I had my one implant is beginning to hurt. Of course, we lay people google symptoms and find the worse so I email Dr. Palola's office. She emails me and apologizes because their office is closed for the holidays, totally understandable. But she offers to prescribe antibiotics which made me happy bc I'm thinking it's probably an infection. A few hours later, she emails me again and apologizes for the delay in responding - she's in JAPAN!! I'm feeling so, so bad for bothering my favorite dentist while she's on vacay!!! Yet she's so professional that she checks her emails - aya! Love this woman and feel so bad for her family! I'm still the biggest chicken in the world when it comes to dental care, but Dr. Palola is making me appreciate her profession and her professionalism!!!

Who says that about a dentist visit? From scheduling an appointment to the parking to the treatments... just a pleasant experience. I mean they give you a topical numbing then a few numbing shots and once that's more numb.. they give you more numbing shots. Brilliant. I felt almost nothing at all. I also got that taken care of plus a cleaning plus replacing silver fillings all in one visit. Dr. Jaclyn was super detailed but fast and gentle. She was the actual person doing the cleaning too not the hygienist. It was the most comfortable cleaning I've ever had! Highly recommend.

I've always had good experiences here in the past, everyone's usually friendly and welcoming. But…read moreafter today, I'm extremely upset and disappointed. I brought my husband and our 22-month-old daughter with me to my appointment. While I was getting my cleaning, the staff was being nice to her, gave her toys, and kept her entertained, which I appreciated. However, when we were getting ready to leave, we noticed one of my daughter's pigtails had been CUT OFF and both of her hair ties were missing. When my husband asked about it, the response we got was that no one knew what happened and that they "don't even have scissors there." That answer is not only unacceptable, it's insulting. My daughter is a toddler, she doesn't know how to use scissors, and she never pulls out her hair ties. Someone there cut her hair, and no one had the decency to tell us, or even own up to it when confronted. I'm not even that upset that her hair was cut, accidents can happen. What I'm furious about is the dishonesty and the complete lack of accountability. If something was wrong or if something got stuck in her hair and they felt the need to cut it, the absolute bare minimum would be to inform us first as her parents, not silently make that decision and then act clueless afterward. This situation was handled horribly, and I'm extremely disappointed in how it was swept under the rug. I expected better. I added pictures of how her hair was before we got there and after we left. UPDATE 5/2/25: After posting my original review about the disturbing incident involving my daughter's hair being cut during our visit, I finally got a call, today, now days later. And when the dentist finally did reach out, instead of offering an apology or showing any concern, he spoke to me in a defensive and borderline hostile tone. He immediately said he "trusts his staff," that he personally questioned everyone, and of course, they all denied it. Then he had the audacity to say he found it "odd" that this happened while my husband was there, as if we were trying to pull some kind of scheme. That accusation was not only offensive, it was completely out of line. He didn't let me speak, didn't ask what we experienced, didn't express any empathy, and absolutely no care about what happened to my child. He just told me to transfer my care elsewhere, canceled all my future appointments, said "take care," and hung up the phone like I was the problem. Let me be clear, someone cut my daughter's hair without permission. She is 22 months old. She cannot consent. No one asked us beforehand, and no one told us afterward. Whether they want to admit it or not, this is extremely serious and potentially considered battery under the law, as it involves unauthorized physical contact with a child. And to be treated as if we did something wrong or made it up is absolutely outrageous. I'm beyond furious. I didn't want to escalate anything, all I wanted was a little honesty and accountability. Instead, I was treated like a liar and pushed out of an office I was suppose to trust. Because of how dismissively and unprofessionally this was handled, because of how this was handled, we will absolutely be taking this situation further.
