Had apt for my wife and the day of the apt the office building was locked and there was no access to the elevator. I called and only got an answering machine. Another words they were closed for the day. I left a message for them and they didn't bother to respond back at all. We booked this apt months in advanced. They don't care about their patients at all. read more

Best Dentist in the world! I live in AZ and travel to Hawaii when I need my teeth worked on.

If anyone is looking for a dentist, I am recommending Dr. Dung. Im sure everyone has their preference, but this is a dentist you would want to at least give it a try. The staff is VERRRRY nice. They remember you every visit and they take pride in their work. Dr. Dung is approachable and answers all your questions. When cleaning or doing any type of fixtures, they continuously ask how I am doing and if I am doing okay. They make sure we are comfortable and do not try to make decisions on the spot. Also, FREE parking. Even tho we are adults, I still enjoy getting goodie bags. They give us a toothbrush, tooth paste, floss and mouth wash. =) read more

On 07/04/2020 I've gotten into a car accident and My 2 top front teeth have been extracted and I felt devastated cause I am the type of person who always smiles! I was consulted with a oral and maxillofacial surgeon and I couldn't do it due to my pregnancy and procedures that I have to take. I've decided to go see my long time family dentistry (about 13 years).... Dr. Ryan Dung explained in detail my solutions. He consulted me to do couple ways to fix my teeth but what impressed me the most was he said I don't need to do any surgical procedures just take an impression on my teeth and he'll send it over to the lab. Dr. dung got me to the result I wanted. From a insecure young women to a beautiful and confident person! Thank you and your staff so much for your service during this pandemic. Thank you for the hard laughs and life lessons you given my family! I highly recommend everyone to you. MAHALO read more

Excellent service from office staff, hygenist, to Dr. Dung. Very pleasant atmosphere and accommodating.

If I could I would give Dr Dung and his staff 10 stars! He is located on the 3rd floor of the building room 303. I needed to see a dentist immediately after I had chipped my front tooth in the middle. Clarence the receptionist who I must say is so awesome and personable had a time for me to come in (THANK YOU JESUS!) since there was a cancellation. I came in and checked in the front, filled out papers and gave her my ID. Smooth sailing! Let me just note that I have not seen a dentist in YEARS and felt super embarrassed about my teeth. They made me feel comfortable and made sure I was taken cared of. I sat in the chair did an X-ray and in 30 mins or so Dr Dung fixed my tooth! He truly is the man version of the tooth fairy! He encouraged me to come back to see him as I do need other stuff done but he NEVER made me feel embarrassed or pressured. Throughout the procedure he made sure I was doing okay in the chair. My pain tolerance is pretty high so it wasn't anything I couldn't handle, I just could not stand that drilling sound lol! Dr Dung showed me his magic he had done on my tooth and I started to cry happy tears because it looked as good as new! I will be seeing him again soon and I just cannot wait to get a new smile from him! I cannot thank Dr Dung and his staff enough!!! read more

My family and I have been going to Dr. Dung for years now and we just love him and his staff! Very professional, friendly and caring! Just recently I've had to fix a cracked filling and put a crown on another tooth, he did both in 1 appt. This is the first time I've ever had a crown so I didn't know what to expect, but he explained everything before he did it, I've heard from others that a crown takes 2 appts. because they have to make a mold of your tooth send it out to make the crown and you have to come back to put it on. But not here, Dr. Dung made my crown right in the office and put it on that day! Yay! I didn't have to take another day off of work! The hygenists are super friendly and Clarence the receptionist is always on it, making sure you have your future appts. scheduled! He and his staff are the best of the best!!! read more

Dung Ryan O Y, DDS - Love my Dentist!!! - General Dentistry Near Me - Waipahu, Hawaii

I usually hate going to the dentist (because of my previous experiences of poor dental work and unfriendly staff) but a friend of mine recommended Dr. Ryan Dung. When I called they said that they're not taking new patients but I was fortunate to be able to schedule my first appointment because I had a referral. I've been going to his dental office for less than a year now and I don't dread going to the dentist like how I did before! Dr. Dung, the receptionist, hygienists, and ALL the staff are super friendly!! It's nice that they remember me and always greet me by my name whenever I walk into their office. It shows that they care for every patient. Wish I came here sooner! With Dr. Dung's help, I was able to get a root canal therapy, a crown, a filling, and a wisdom tooth extraction done. Since my previous dentist did a poor job with my fillings, I got a tooth infection in one of them so I needed to get a root canal. I've never had a root canal therapy procedure done before and I was scared. However, Dr. Dung always explains everything thoroughly and what to expect with each procedure. Since I had to get it done to my back molar, he referred me to an endodontic specialist, Dr. Matt Hoshino (Dr. Hoshino and his staff were super friendly too!) After my root canal was complete, I had to go back to Dr. Dung to get a crown. I heard that with some dentists, getting a crown requires 2 visits. I was surprised that Dr. Dung was able to get my crown done in one day, during the same appointment! In my most recent visit, I just had a cleaning and check-up scheduled. After looking over my x-rays, Dr. Dung said I needed to replace a filling and get a non-surgical wisdom tooth extraction done--he did it within that same appointment! It was very convenient since I didn't have to go back again another day. He's also very quick and efficient in getting the job done. I thought doing all of that would take long but I only stayed at the dental office for less than 2 hours. I understand that it's a challenge to get any work done on my teeth because of my tiny mouth but Dr. Dung and his dental assistant do their job super well! I've never felt any pain whenever he had to numb my gums and I always feel at ease at every visit. I'm still embarrassed with my small mouth and teeth, but I'm glad and relieved that I'm finally getting help with my smile. I like that before doing any procedure, Dr. Dung explains the possible options and then recommends the best one before he asks you to decide. He also takes into consideration your insurance coverage. If you don't need a procedure done right away, he'll try to postpone the procedure (unless you really need it done right away) until your insurance renews so you don't have to pay too much at one time. I did the root canal therapy at the end of last year and got my crown in the beginning of this year when my insurance coverage renewed. I don't know of any other dentist who is that considerate! Dr. Dung and his staff are the best!! I highly recommend them! read more

Excellent service and treated client with respect.

I've seen Dr. Dung twice now, and it's still by far the best Dental service I've had in 20 years. Dr. Dungs office is professional, very friendly and above all spectacularly clean! I know speaking about cleanliness when it comes to dental and medical facilities seems a little outlandish, but you'd be surprised. I absolutely love the staff; amazing receptionist, friendly and very gentle assistants that don't try and drown you or gag you with the suction tube lol. But from a professional stand point, it's just an overall great place to have your dental care provided. He always takes time to ensure you're comfortable and explains the procedures as he goes along. Superb service!! read more

I have anxiety anytime I go to the dentist, but this time my experience was very pleasant. I had to get 3 fillings done and chose to do them all in one visit, Dr Inouye made SURE I was comfortable by talking through everything he was doing throughout the process. Their front office staff greets you with a smile and makes eye contact with you. They answer any questions you have and are just very professional and friendly.. things I always look for in customer service. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone! Especially if you have anxiety dealing with dentists. Customer service on point. Chairside manners awesome! Both Dr and assisant! read more

My husband had not been to the dentist for the most recent half of his life. Which is 18 years. Which is the entire lifetime of an 18 year old. Yes. He probably would never have agreed to go had he not, a few weeks ago, noticed that there was a visible HOLE in his back molar. Not unlike the time he finally agreed to go to the doctor because there was a growth on his noggin that turned out to be a little bit of, oh, CANCER. See what I have to deal with? On the day of his appointment, after a morning of sullenly flopping about the house and whining about flossing and how the dentist will be discouraged by his puny, toddler sized mouth, my husband finally set off for his first dental visit in nearly two decades. He had a WONDERFUL visit. He kept going on and on about how professional and skilled and adept Dr. Dung was. How he only barely noticed one of his shots, how Dr. Dung was personable and treated his staff with respect. How his office was easy to find. How he had his own television, and no one grumbled about his miniature mouth, and how everything was fancy and state of the art (It probably seemed downright space aged compared to the last time he was at the dentist) and how we need to hurry up and make him another appointment with the friendly appointment maker to take care of a few minor cavities he still had. So now he's a fan of going to the dentist. Which is AMAZING. And more than that, he's now begrudgingly admitted that I was right about flossing. So now he's flossing. And yes it takes forever and he uses two arm lengths of floss but at least it's getting done. Incremental improvement, that's all I ask. Dr. Dung is awesome. Drive to Waipahu and see him. That is all. read more

This is a great dentist office. Their staff is amazing. I used to go to the Aiea medical center but got tired of paying for parking fees. Even though it's right off Farrington Hwy in Waipahu the office itself is very clean and professional looking. Dr. Dung is great in diagnosing potential cavities and telling you straight up whether it's worth doing the work vs spending the money. I told him my last dentist said I needed a crown ($$$) but he explained that it wasn't necessary and a filling would suffice.Their hygienists are gentle and thorough at the same time. I actually walked away from my cleaning without bruised gums! Definitely would recommend. read more

Such a professional, kind and personable person. We are blessed to have Dr. Dung as our family dentist.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Dung for a little over 10 years I believe and even though I live in town now, I wouldn't change my dentist. I think I've had it all when it comes to dentist visits: Check-ups, cavities, fillings, teeth removals, route canals, Crowns! (Yikes) and every time I come, no matter what the visit; Dr. Dung and his awesome staff are always professional, friendly and accomidating to me. Each chair has it's own designated TV and they give you control over it while they work on you YES! (Obviously something to distract you) Highly recommended; He's also in Honolulu Magazines Best Dentists 2014 List. Thanks Dr. D! read more

I haven't gone to a dentist like 35+ years because of a bad experience when i was younger. Then I thought I cracked a tooth or a filling. My mom and a co worker referred to Dr Dung so I went. I had a good experience and been going ever since. Dr Dung is friendly, laid back kinda guy. Made me feel at ease and knew i was in good hands. Michelle (hygienist) is really patient, cause after not going dentist forever, I wasn't easy to work with. Clarence the receptionist, is always friendly and outgoing. It's modern, clean, free parking, what else can you ask for? read more

Came in for a filling that took no more than 15 minutes! Dr. Dung is friendly with staff and patients. He tells you what he's doing and what you might feel/experience during the procedure. Front office staff and assistants are also friendly and accommodating as well. Waiting area and the back has always been clean and neat. They have tv's not only in the waiting room but even one to watch while you're in the chair - something to pass the time (which isn't very long because he's very quick and efficient) or to calm the nerves if you get anxious about these kinds of things. read more
