A few weeks ago I had an Ecobee thermostat installed and the HVAC technician recommended Martin Electrical Services as a reliable company. Communication with the staff was absolutely top notch, as was the technician who came out to do my installation. Rodney was punctual, honest, and extremely respectful of my space (also the fact that I was on work calls periodically throughout the morning). He was able to get me up and running in no time. Per my initial request, also he checked (and fixed) a wiring issue in my office ceiling fan, and double-checked the power in my office and also the outside box. As someone who lives alone except for four cats (whom I would not trust to work on anything electrical), that kind of peace of mind is priceless. And because Rodney was so awesome, he also put in a new air filter in my hallway that I bought but could not install. I have periodic bouts of dizziness and my doctor doesn't want me going up ladders, especially when dealing with super-high ceilings. Rodney to the rescue! Thank you SO much for providing such fantastic and professional service. It's always a pleasure when I get to write a glowing review about a company. Keep up the excellent work!

We called one electric company and they said they could probably arrive by 2 pm. We called R&B and they arrived just after 9 am. They diagnosed the problem, as I expected we needed a whole new main circuit breaker box outside, with all new breakers. We had a lot of breakers too, with three central AC units and a pool with pump, and freezers full of thawing out food an and all electric kitchen. We gave them the go ahead. All power from the city had to be shut off, everything bought and planned, and then all the work done. By 6 pm an entirely new circuit breaker box and all breakers were installed, and our power was back on. R&B did a fast, great job. Could not have been happier.

I'm giving 4 stars because the technician genuinely tried his best to get the fan installed and was…read moreprofessional throughout the process. Unfortunately, after cutting a couple of holes in the ceiling, it was determined that the fan couldn't be installed as originally planned. My biggest disappointment was the condition the work area was left in. Electrical plates were left off with wires exposed, there was a mess that wasn't cleaned up, and the boxes/materials were placed on the street when I had expected they would be hauled away. I also would have appreciated having things put back the way they were before they left. I understand that not every installation goes as planned, which is why I didn't rate them lower. The technician made a good-faith effort, but the cleanup and attention to detail at the end of the job fell short of my expectations.

Instead of pushing us to replace the entire unit like other companies tried to do, Sean gave us honest, clear information and smart recommendations that actually solved the problem by just replacing the AC not the furnace. The problem is if you have a dehumidifier like most people in Texas, they don't check that even if it right in their face and they also don't tell you up front that isn't part of the maintenance. So, when your dehumidifier breaks it's obviously not their problem. And when you cancel the maintenance plan they won't give you a partial refund even if you have only had it for one month. Weeks is another example of a company with shady business practices.
