When I first entered I was greeting politely and the manger of the store Mel asked if we had any question, I let her know I was familiar with the product and didn't need any help. As I'm still deciding what I'm purchasing i notice Mel(manager) still standing behind me not even walking around just standing watching. So I ask her is there a reason she was hovering, she said in a harsh tone "this is my area of expertise and I'm here to help with any future questions" I then told her "I'm familiar with the product and don't need any help" & that I couldn't even focus on my purchase because I guess she thought I was stealing. She then told me "well you can leave". I can leave because your disrupting my shopping experience. I asked did she think we were stealing and she laughed. I'm not sure if there was a race barrier or maybe because I looked young but I am of age to purchase from this store and if that was the problem I would've been more than happy to provide her with an ID. I left the store and Spencer's especially NOT the one in Pearland Town Center will be getting my money anytime soon!

I really like Hallmark stores, but I felt discriminated against at this location…read more I entered the store and had Japanese comic books and a box of Pokémon cards in my hand from another store, clearly these are not items hallmark sells. A Caucasian older woman who worked there on a Saturday afternoon approached me and said that she's going to hold on to my items. She did not state a reason or policy for why she had to do that, and I didn't feel comfortable with that idea, but before I could say anything she had already reached out for my items in my hand and walked away to place them behind the register. Within that same interaction, she ushered me towards the clearance section of the store, and sort of left me there. I had no desire to look at the things in the clearance section, and at this point I'm feeling annoyed. Why not ask me if there was something in particular that I'm looking for? I actually was there for a certain item, and could have used the help. I walked around the store for another 5 minutes, but could not stay longer because our interaction did not sit well with me. I honestly felt disgusted. When I went to the counter to get my items back, she told me the reason why she took them up. She believed the items I had at my possession were from her hallmark store, and later realized they were from another store (my receipt was clearly visible in the book). My question is, if she thought I was holding merchandise from her store , why not offer me a small shopping basket instead of taking up the items? There were lots of them at the front of the store that she could have offered me. Hypothetically, lets say that I did have items from the hallmark store in my hands, why can't I hold on to them as I continue shopping? Another thing was that bothered me was how she clearly inspected my things as she walked away with them. Why not give them back immediately if she knew they weren't from her store? Why assume that my shopping experience should begin at the clearance aisle? Anyways, I will not be going back to this hallmark location. But if anyone reads this, please beware of this particular staff member that might be watching and judging you. And if you are this staff member that's reading this, shame on you.

They don't look down at me as I couldn't afford to buy those fancy light fixtures displayed in the front of the store. However, I found a few affordable products that I would like to outfit my house with. The saleswoman introduced herself as Yare as she showed me the product sales specs sheet on the Alcamo LED Chandelier (model 12285.02). That was a gorgeous light fixture with 8 integrated LED to stretch to 180 inches in length and can be curled to 75.5 inches height by 55 inches wide shaped as a dome. I would need a mansion to display this light. I was intrigued with the technology on how LED can illuminate in the form of a rope. I really thought that was fiber optic. Speaking of lights through a tube, I found an LED Bath Light by Modern Forms with the light tube on both sides of fixture. This light fixture with a cinema feel could jazz up my bathroom. If I add this to my bathroom, I would need to remodel the entire house. I'll keep that in mind on my next house. Yare gave me her business card and invited me to check on their website for additional lights that are not shown in the store. So, I browsed through LuminousTrends.com and found a couple of lamps as an addition to my existing lighting. I emailed her my question and she responded very quickly. Shopping at Luminous Trends is convenient. I can shop in person and online at ease.

This is a pretty amazing lighting store located in Sugarland, offering pretty spectacular products of all sorts. So it's very shiny and glitzy and gorgeous and definitely well worth the trip, especially if you happen to be in the plaza already. I like it here and I've been here on a number of occasions now. They're right next to one of our favorite Indian restaurants so we often end up browsing here afterwards. Their selection is amazing even though prices are a little high.
