It was a floor model, as ordering would have taken several weeks/months. We hired an electrician to install our fixtures (Elaine's couldn't offer install on our high ceiling fans). Blake offered a reorder but that would have cost us more $ for the electrician to come out multiple times. I suggested our electrician could solder the piece back on or I could but I'd need to buy would need to buy a solder kit. I emailed and asked Blake if Elaine's would offer us a STORE CREDIT of $100-200 for our trouble and to mitigate some of our extra expense due to the chandelier arriving damaged. Blake responded that I could have 10% off a future purchase. I do not recommend Elaine's. The chandelier arrived damaged. We had to incur the costs of having it fixed. When I offered a very reasonable customer service solution, it was denied. The items can be found at other establishments, some for less expensive. This was a disappointing experience, especially based on how many fixtures we purchased.

The renovation included replacement of all our lighting. Because of time constraints, I spent hours shopping for lighting online, with mixed results. It's not easy selecting lighting from pictures online. And then I stumbled upon Anthology Lighting and was thoroughly impressed by their unique and beautiful light fixtures. Anthology had a wide variety of lighting options to suit my eclectic style, from modern and sleek designs to vintage and rustic pieces. They also had a broad range of price points. While they had a large selection you could see in person, a huge inventory can be accessed with the assistance from the huge inventory to select from the knowledge and friendly staff who is helpful in streamlining the selection process to find the best lighting solution for each targeted space. My go to person is Sal, he was such a huge help, from selection, being responsive during a install deadline and after delivery when we had to get replacement glass for fixture after it was broken by an electrician (Not part of Anthology.) during installation. My biggest regret is I did not find this shop at the beginning! My cat knocked over one of my favorite lamps at 3 AM. I was expecting to be taken to the cleaners for the repair because frankly, there's no way I would know how to fix a lamp. They said it was a minor repair and they actually did it for free! But they do start out at $50. had it been an even worse repair which I still find very reasonable. And Nina was even able to adjust the lampshade that had been made crooked from the fall and she has a hand brace on! I can't say enough about this place. Most places online only had painted aluminum faceplates (which aren't working well for us), or would have required us to buy the entire lamp again, rather than just the faceplates, if we wanted to upgrade to solid brass. Roxanne at The LED Spot was truly amazing working with my husband on this and lo and behold, we were able to find solid brass faceplates for a great price, and get them to us quickly.
