He comes across as a nice person, but he only does what is best for him and he will not take responsibility for his construction mistakes. He will consistently blame others and will fabricate reasons to avoid paying his bills. Many clients have questioned his ability to deliver a quality product and have either proceeded with legal action or completely walked away from their project. The overall construction is often to a lower standard than clients were promised and there are instances where there is the potential for future issues to develop as a result of structural and grading inaccuracies. In this market, clients should expect a relatively high level of craftsmanship and should not get intimidated when corrections need to be made. Unfortunately, Guy gets confrontational, threatening and there is no accountability on his part. And, as a general observation, it is very difficult to get him or his team to return your messages, especially when they are at fault. In my opinion, working with Guy will not be a good experience and I would not recommend Paces Ferry Builders to anyone. There are many properties in the area that are worth more than the headache you will go through dealing with someone who shouldn't be in the industry.

With all the rains covering the Atlanta area at the end of 2015, my roof experienced some major…read moredamage. I had mildew (or mold) covering the entire ceiling of one of the rooms in my house, and numerous leaks in the attic. The company that installed my roof (J&M Roofing) never returned any of my calls, while the problem to get worse. After the fourth attempt I finally got in touch with them and they told me that my warranty had expired one month earlier (how convenient!). It was then that a friend put me in touch with John Boerama and told me that he was one of the most reliable and trustworthy roofers in an industry that has a reputation for being neither reliable nor trustworthy. John returned my call in the same day and fixed over 20% of my roof, cleaned up everything left from the work, as well as showing me how to remove the mildew. The total cost was $900. When the rains returned the next week, I noticed some mildew growing in my attic around that area that John had fixed. He returned to my place right away, patched the leak, and told me to keep him posted if there were any more difficulty. I would highly recommend Boerama Roofing for any of your roofing concerns.

Our job was very big: they rebuild our chimney to code, replaced rotten wood, rebuilt and repainted soffits, fixed damaged gutters, installed leaf guards, rebuilt our front porch railings and repainted the entire house. A+ job in all ways. When the city came by to inspect the permitted projects, the manager was always present and all of the work was built to city code. Chuck ran our job; you could never ask for a more thorough, more knowledgable and fair constructions manager than Chuck. The price was fair, they stuck to their estimate, the workers were very skilled, especially the painters. Frankly, I was stunned at the great job they did. Our 39 year old house looked brand new. I give Make a Choice my highest recommendation. It's rare to find such honest and diligent constructions folks these days. Luck and research convinced me to use them, thank goodness.

I first called and spoke with Javier who asked me to text him pics etc. he got back to me the same day. I sent him pictures of what needed to be done and he was very detailed about the questions asked me. This told me he was very serious about taking this job because I reached out to another company (Alcaraz) and sent them all the same info and they ghosted me but, I'm glad they did. Anyway, once we set the date and time he was super communicative, the whole time. He showed up on time with all of his materials ready to work. Once the hole was covered he even went to Home Depot to get the exact color paint for my ceiling. I felt very comfortable with Javier who was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I feel I received a fair price for the work that was done. He definitely went above and beyond and I can't even tell where that hole was before, he did a great job and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I'd most definitely hire him for any work I need in the future.

Hired BlueBuilt to install new gutters, fascia, and crown molding…read more They removed the old gutters, then planned to leave me without gutters for 5 days. To their credit, they scrambled to get a crew in sooner but had also left a dumpster in my driveway, blocking my garage, and junk in my yard, while I was being told to wait through rainstorms without gutters while other customers take precedent due to "scheduling issues". The dumpster was picked up but the dumpster they brought in was overkill and the removal truck put gashes in my driveway. Additionally, while i was paying for crown molding on the entire house, they initially left out a section that was only later installed (at 6:30am when I woke up to hammering on my bedroom wall) after much pulling of teeth. Also damaged existing soffit the first day, said they would replace, later said they would not, then did replace but scuffed up all of the painted fascia. Brackets for the old downspouts were remove, but the exposed wood was not repainted. I had to ask for these to be repainted and not all of them ever were. They try to do their best but do not have their own gutter crews, did not manage them the crews they had, and did not communicate almost anything to me. Also gave me three different project managers, none of who had much idea of what was going on at any time. Clean up was minimal. I cleaned up dozens of nails in my yard and driveway afterwards with a magnet.
