This practice has a lot of great reviews and I want to share my experience in case it helps…read moresomeone. In January 2025 I made an appointment for the earliest new patient appointment, which was in June 2025. I decided to wait for the appointment because I really appreciated the philosophy found on the website and definitely liked the glowing reviews. I had positive interactions with all staff I encountered and the clinic was clean and bright. The provider I met with suspected a new problem/diagnosis and so started a work up with labs and imaging. Clinic staff did follow up with me once labs resulted out and referred me to a specialist. The ordered imaging was performed ~2 weeks after my new patient appt but I never received follow up, from the NP or anyone else at Ponce Primary Care re: the imaging results. It has now been ~3 months since my last communication, specific to my care, with anyone in this office. I decided to reach out to discuss the standard of care, which I felt to be lacking. Dr. Chad Costley did return my call within an hour or so and he did verbalize disappointment with my situation. He assured me that my experience is unfortunately the exception to their typical patient experience. I was informed that the NP I had been assigned to was "only part-time and here less than a month". I did not ever receive any communication from Ponce Primary Care to notify me that my assigned provider was departing or to invite me to call to schedule with another provider for seamless continuity of care. I was told that my imaging results were never sent by the imaging facility I went to and that "this is where the wheels came off". That is absolutely possible but it was also not confirmed to be true at the time of the statement. The report not being in the patient chart does not mean it was never received by the ordering office or sent to the ordering provider. Sometimes things get scanned and assigned incorrectly, or not scanned at all. Lots of possibilities there. To me, that shows a lack of accountability for not holding a supervisory review of a departing provider's caseload/EMR task list and it also fails to consider that an out-of-state fax number associated with the ordering provider could be the problem. I waited 6 months for a new patient appointment and, whatever the circumstances, was lost in the shuffle. I will not be continuing with this practice, although I'm sure they have many satisfied patients as evidenced by their overall rating. My advice if you wish to establish/continue care here: Be able to advocate for yourself and for your own healthcare. Be knowledgeable about when to follow up on your care in case the practice doesn't. If the wait is still 6 months out for a new patient appointment when you try to schedule, do not think an extra special or VIP experience awaits you - realize that they just might be too busy to accept new patients.

UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - BELOW…read more Customer Service: Customer service is poor. The staff are nice and friendly in the office, but are almost impossible to reach by phone. They rarely return phone calls. Physician: Dr. Waters no longer sees my family member, she passed my family member off to a Nurse Practitioner, the NP is professional and friendly and so far I haven't had any issues with her care, but she isn't a MD. Office: Office is not too small and nothing special. The last time I went inside the television was off? I'm not sure if they had enough money to purchase Netflix, Hulu or Cable? Parking: Parking area is sufficient, but the office has moved into an area that is not as nice as her previous office. Additional: Dr. Water's office nickels and dimes the patients now. I'm not sure if it's because she's hurting financially (see TV comment above) or what the reason is, but my family member went to a scheduled appointment and asked them to fill out a form for work; they wanted to charge an extra $25 fee to fill out a paper for her job. That should be part of the office visit. I consider that unacceptable and very poor customer service. This medical office has gone from being one of the best in Atlanta to being just like all the others, not very good. Summary: Overall, because it's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone or get return phone calls, because they want to nickel and dime you for every single thing and because they have to send patients out for many things now, I would definitely not suggest Dr. Waters anymore. Perhaps if she addresses these problems and returns to the way she did business before I would change my review, but as of now I can't recommend her to anyone. Pros: 1. Parking is never an issue Cons: 1. Very difficult to reach anyone by phone. 2. Nickel and dimes patients now 3. No longer able to do lab work at office because LabCorp will not send Phlebotomists to office d/t Covid and office staff very inexperienced with drawing blood. (Costing MORE for the patient) 4. Sends out patients because they don't have proper equipment or the experience to perform basic exams or obtain diagnostics. (Costing MORE for the patient) "F" as of this review. Let's hope they improve. UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - ABOVE

I really loved the location of this office. I initially started off being a patient of Dr. Moore-…read moreWaters and ended up being a patient of Dr. D'Souza's due to needing an emergency appointment one time. Let me just say thank God they didn't have the "you-can't-see-a- different-physician-in-our-practice" policy like another medical practice I used to go to. Both Dr Moore-Waters and Dr. D'Souza are great doctors, hands down!! Absolutely no complaints there. Very thorough, friendly and very informative. It's hard to find great physicians like them these days. Now here comes the minor negative.....and I really mean minor negative.... No x-ray facility so if you needed a chest or spinal x-ray, you'd have to trek to Dekalb Medical Center. The clerical staff seemed absent minded at times. I'd call to ask a question and get transferred around sometimes. It wasn't a constant thing but it certainly happened here and there and was frustrating. Now here is why I've taken a one star deduction. I called to make an appointment last month and not only was I informed Dr. D'Souza was no longer with the practice but I was also informed the practice had moved to Tucker, GA. I was shocked because I wasn't notified about any of this and really felt left out in the cold. At this point I feel like I'm at a crossroads. Tucker is not terribly far but I feel like the carpet has been pulled out from under me. I have more questions than answers and I'm not sure what has happened because Dr. Moore-Waters hadn't been at that particular location very long. For years she was next door to Ace Hardware on Scott Blvd but none the less, she's been in Decatur for years. Maybe I'll never know and maybe it's none of my business but I do feel a bit neglected by not being informed. Either way, it doesn't diminish Dr. Moore-Waters' and Dr. D'Souza's expertise as physicians

I've even had two doctors prescribe antidepressants and assure me all my symptoms were stemming from my thoughts. I now think they were so misguided and misguiding. I heard about Dr. Owen at Whole Family Medicine from a coworker who had been through the same ordeal as I. She said Dr. Owen was the one who pinpointed the issue and set her onto a road of recovery. With some hope that I scraped from the bottom of the barrel, in regards to doctors, I went to see Dr. Owen. I wept on the sofa in her office and laid it all out there. She took a deep breath and began that day to set me on my road to recovery! I'm feeling better every day under her care. She understands my apprehensions with western medicine and works around that. She finds the treatments that I am comfortable doing. She has a very optimistic attitude and a matter of fact way about her that makes me feel safe. But... personality aside (I've had several personality plus doctors who had no clue about healing people) Dr. Owen KNOWS HER STUFF! And...if she doesn't know something she will figure it out. She is open to all sorts of treatments and doesn't judge or cringe when a patient brings in their own idea of treatment. Like she said the first time I met her, " If the crud on the bottom of a pond heals you and makes you feel better, then take the crud off the bottom of the pond!!! I don't need to know how it works but that it works!" She doesn't judge her patients. She actually has compassion for them and is curious about these treatments we want to try. I know. I'm one of them. There is a difference between a doctor who practices medicine and a doctor who practices healing. She is the latter. I'm thankful every day for this woman.

This has been a very long and expensive and Traumatic Journey. "Dr.Bindiya pointed me in the right direction for healing" . I had multiple misdiagnoses from Specialist and the ER. "Dr. Bindiya and she knew better and helped me." Eventually I had to see specialist in California trained in the doctor Shoemaker protocol which was for the best . Once you are removed from the exposure which is (very difficult because mold is every where )and you still are very stick you may have condition called CIRS =chronic inflammatory response syndrome. This condition affects every system of your body and causes brain inflammation which will add to the brain fog feeling hungover. I had to get a Nuro quadrant MRI to prove this Inflammation was in the brain it can also show it there is atrophy. I had to see doctors that were trained Dr. Shoemaker's protocol and familiar with Dr. Neal Nathan's Modifications for hyper sensitive people like me. Toxin exposure affects every part of the body from your brain, nerves , eyes, stomach , hormones and even your automatic breathing , blood pressure/heart rate. You can develop dysautonomia and mass cell activation .It's truly awful. You make look healthy on the outside and but be walking around feelings dazed and confused and very toxic sick hungover feeling , with pain, numbness, balance issues, micro seizures, tremors and severe light sensitivity , chemical sensitivity , so many other symptoms . For those that are suffering with this here are some things that helped give some relief. Hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatments by far gave the most relief and in a short period with in 30min (expensive but when you need relief very worth it) .I did 5 days a week for 90min for two months ) but with that I am not recovered unfortunately If you're very bad off like I am your doctor might prescribe you a portable oxygen unit .Ice packs for head and general over heating , avoiding hotels especially with window air conditioners. Also avoid using central air when you can and make sure your vents are cleaned. Ditch all house toxins products and I do mean all!! I was able to start eating /digesting again after using A combination-of Sovereign Laboratories Advanced Prebiotic Liposomal Colostrum Powder , and the liver and gallbladder detox by Andreas Moritz with modifications because of weakness . You When you have a chronic illness you need a doctor that can spend an hour with you, this condition is very complicated.Another thing that comes with is trauma ;Fear hormones shooting left and right ;this can make anxiety and even severe panic attacks a regular occurrence with this condition .Do your best not to watch anything that will increase adrenaline or add any stress, try sticking to comedy. Remove stressful people from your life.Releasing positive endorphins helps the most . Another thing I had to learn the hard way over exerting can cause less oxygen to your tissues and organs. Glutathione and vitamin C in liquid form will be your best friend and IVs are great if you can afford them. But the "Winning Star" after this long journey is the "biotoxin binder made by a brand called Cell Core" prove to be effective at removing the toxins with evidence of my lab tests, but also have the least negative side effects .I recommend going to doctor who does muscle testing. note under the Dr.Shoemaker protocol there two binders but I could not tolerate them well , they are Cholestyramine and Welchol. They caused me to suffer Herxheimer Reaction over and over again too many toxins coming out at once, but that was just for me ,others can tolerate it.) I also recommend get your hormones checked and regularly some of my levels were so low they were not readable by the lab. This information for those that are lost as I was.Always check with your doctor before doing anything new . I wish I had this information years ago and I truly hope this helps someone else.

I will say that the doctor spent nearly two hours with me, reviewing my history and performing an examination -- which was impressive. However, after drawing an extensive number of labs, I was surprised when, on my way out, I was encouraged to purchase an $8,000 "path to better health" package. When my lab results came back, I returned for a follow-up appointment (which I paid for again) and was told that my labs made her feel "sad" and that it seemed I might have lupus. No referral to a specialist was offered -- just that statement and a goodbye. Concerned, I sent my lab results to a close friend who is an infectious disease specialist at Emory. She was shocked by how much blood had been drawn and told me that not only was it excessive, but also that there was no indication of lupus at all. Beyond that, the office staff seemed disorganized, and the overall experience felt more focused on selling expensive wellness packages, supplements, and cosmetic services (like Botox and laser treatments) than on genuine patient care. In my opinion, this practice operates more like a business than a medical office. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for trustworthy, patient-centered care.
