I will say she takes Medicaid so most of her patience are probably not educated in their health and well being like some of us others. This may cause her to share more information or "instruction" causing an eyebrow raise. At first I was like why is she telling me all this like I'm a child? (Again first impression). Then I took a step back and realized, a lot of women have no clue of their Health or the system and she does! She's the expert so I listened closely. She addressed all my concerns and actually had real reasons and conclusions to some of the issues I did not receive resolution from from previous western doctors. I'm a huge fan of the practice's partnership between midwives and OBs, and each provider is lovely in their own right (styles / bedside manners do differ, so be sure to rotate a bit if you're expecting). The nurses are so warm and recognize me to say hello every visit. The practice provided evidence-based care for any prenatal complications, happily collaborated with my doulas during birth, and has provided *superb* follow-ups postpartum (including medical lactation support). I would not hesitate to choose this group again for my most critical and meaningful healthcare!

In another instance, I had to call the operation scheduleding person repeatedly for a month to schedule an appointment. Once scheduled, no one ensured that everything was set in place... surprise, it wasn't. It became a mess which delayed my procedure. While at my appointments that were scheduled successfully, I had to wait for 3 hours (3pm to 6pm) to be seen for maybe 20mins total. I also heard nurses discussing their frustration of the doctors and patients issues out loud. It is a shame because there are great doctors working here but the staff leaves much to be desired. I cannot continue being a patient here but I hope they can re-train them or find people who will be more professional.

I'm deducting stars for some shadier billing practices. Examples: reception - I repeat RECEPTION - will have you pee in a cup before seeing your doctor, and without explanation. Apparently it is procedure to test ALL women for pregnancies, which sets the tone of how must they trust your knowledge about your own body, and how they will listen to you. To top it off, you will get billed for it. And in that vein of billing, they will bill you for time waiting to see your doctor, not just time with your doctor. I was moved from the first waiting room, to a second waiting room, where I was left sitting for over 30 minutes. That time was included in my final bill as time with my physician, which is no small fee. So prepare your wallet accordingly!
