UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - BELOW…read more Customer Service: Customer service is poor. The staff are nice and friendly in the office, but are almost impossible to reach by phone. They rarely return phone calls. Physician: Dr. Waters no longer sees my family member, she passed my family member off to a Nurse Practitioner, the NP is professional and friendly and so far I haven't had any issues with her care, but she isn't a MD. Office: Office is not too small and nothing special. The last time I went inside the television was off? I'm not sure if they had enough money to purchase Netflix, Hulu or Cable? Parking: Parking area is sufficient, but the office has moved into an area that is not as nice as her previous office. Additional: Dr. Water's office nickels and dimes the patients now. I'm not sure if it's because she's hurting financially (see TV comment above) or what the reason is, but my family member went to a scheduled appointment and asked them to fill out a form for work; they wanted to charge an extra $25 fee to fill out a paper for her job. That should be part of the office visit. I consider that unacceptable and very poor customer service. This medical office has gone from being one of the best in Atlanta to being just like all the others, not very good. Summary: Overall, because it's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone or get return phone calls, because they want to nickel and dime you for every single thing and because they have to send patients out for many things now, I would definitely not suggest Dr. Waters anymore. Perhaps if she addresses these problems and returns to the way she did business before I would change my review, but as of now I can't recommend her to anyone. Pros: 1. Parking is never an issue Cons: 1. Very difficult to reach anyone by phone. 2. Nickel and dimes patients now 3. No longer able to do lab work at office because LabCorp will not send Phlebotomists to office d/t Covid and office staff very inexperienced with drawing blood. (Costing MORE for the patient) 4. Sends out patients because they don't have proper equipment or the experience to perform basic exams or obtain diagnostics. (Costing MORE for the patient) "F" as of this review. Let's hope they improve. UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - ABOVE

I really loved the location of this office. I initially started off being a patient of Dr. Moore-…read moreWaters and ended up being a patient of Dr. D'Souza's due to needing an emergency appointment one time. Let me just say thank God they didn't have the "you-can't-see-a- different-physician-in-our-practice" policy like another medical practice I used to go to. Both Dr Moore-Waters and Dr. D'Souza are great doctors, hands down!! Absolutely no complaints there. Very thorough, friendly and very informative. It's hard to find great physicians like them these days. Now here comes the minor negative.....and I really mean minor negative.... No x-ray facility so if you needed a chest or spinal x-ray, you'd have to trek to Dekalb Medical Center. The clerical staff seemed absent minded at times. I'd call to ask a question and get transferred around sometimes. It wasn't a constant thing but it certainly happened here and there and was frustrating. Now here is why I've taken a one star deduction. I called to make an appointment last month and not only was I informed Dr. D'Souza was no longer with the practice but I was also informed the practice had moved to Tucker, GA. I was shocked because I wasn't notified about any of this and really felt left out in the cold. At this point I feel like I'm at a crossroads. Tucker is not terribly far but I feel like the carpet has been pulled out from under me. I have more questions than answers and I'm not sure what has happened because Dr. Moore-Waters hadn't been at that particular location very long. For years she was next door to Ace Hardware on Scott Blvd but none the less, she's been in Decatur for years. Maybe I'll never know and maybe it's none of my business but I do feel a bit neglected by not being informed. Either way, it doesn't diminish Dr. Moore-Waters' and Dr. D'Souza's expertise as physicians

I've even had two doctors prescribe antidepressants and assure me all my symptoms were stemming from my thoughts. I now think they were so misguided and misguiding. I heard about Dr. Owen at Whole Family Medicine from a coworker who had been through the same ordeal as I. She said Dr. Owen was the one who pinpointed the issue and set her onto a road of recovery. With some hope that I scraped from the bottom of the barrel, in regards to doctors, I went to see Dr. Owen. I wept on the sofa in her office and laid it all out there. She took a deep breath and began that day to set me on my road to recovery! I'm feeling better every day under her care. She understands my apprehensions with western medicine and works around that. She finds the treatments that I am comfortable doing. She has a very optimistic attitude and a matter of fact way about her that makes me feel safe. But... personality aside (I've had several personality plus doctors who had no clue about healing people) Dr. Owen KNOWS HER STUFF! And...if she doesn't know something she will figure it out. She is open to all sorts of treatments and doesn't judge or cringe when a patient brings in their own idea of treatment. Like she said the first time I met her, " If the crud on the bottom of a pond heals you and makes you feel better, then take the crud off the bottom of the pond!!! I don't need to know how it works but that it works!" She doesn't judge her patients. She actually has compassion for them and is curious about these treatments we want to try. I know. I'm one of them. There is a difference between a doctor who practices medicine and a doctor who practices healing. She is the latter. I'm thankful every day for this woman.

I waiting about 6 months for an…read moreappointment to establish myself as a new patient with Dr. Murray- that's fine - I've heard of longer wait times to see a good doctor and I was in no rush. And honestly, I wanted a doctor I could relate to so a black female doctor or NP with raving reviews is my preference. The day before my appointment I found it odd I didn't receive a text/phone call reminder that my appointment was coming up so I called the office. The lady told me I didn't have a scheduled appointment and transferred me to another lady that could possibly help me - I'm upset - but willing to see what they can do. She lets me know they recently merged and I wasn't in the system blah blah blah ... but she could reschedule my appointment. She took all my information and set up my portal. In the back on my mind I was like I hope I don't have to wait another 6 months ... so I ask about scheduling ... she's like we can see you tomorrow due to the inconvenience we will overbook to see you. I was like wow - great service recovery. Unfortunately I couldn't do the next day, but she allowed me the flexibility I needed and I was scheduled for the next week. So... appointment day. I walk from the Decatur train station - 5 minutes! I arrive at 930 thinking my appointment is at 945. Nope. I get to the counter and she's like my appointment is at 1130 and they'll see what they can do - If I could wait around. I'm a little annoyed, but decided to stick around. After I finish my paperwork - my name is called ( maybe a 10 minute wait). I'm like oh okay ... but thinking I'll probably just be in the exam room forever waiting. I eventually make it back to the exam room and chat with the nurse - the basics. About 10-15 minutes later ... Dr. Murray comes in. We had the basics doctor- patient convo she heard my concerns and ways I wanted to improve my health. Offered to do a physical - I'm like wonderful. She's does the physical. We have another chat and I'm done. Dr. Murray was very attentive and gave me the time I needed. The appointment wasn't rushed. I wasn't over talked or under talked. I felt she was respectful of my time and overall felt she was worth the 6 month wait. She also informed me now that I am an established patient they have same day appointments if needed. overall, a few hiccups, but great service recovery and appointment.

Since he left and Emory has taken over, this office is become a nightmare. I don't see a doctor anymore; I see a PA. This would be fine except that she (Ahmadi) speaks to me like I'm a first grader, ordered a test without being truthful with me about why she was ordering it, and writes scripts incorrectly. She writes my six month script to expire exactly six months from the day I see her. This means that if I had a week or two left on the previous script or if the pharmacy is having trouble keeping my medicine stocked that the last month in my six month script expires before I can fill it and is now unavailable. When I call to try to resolve this issue, I don't get the office anymore- I get a switchboard operator. Recently, I waited on hold forever (where they tell me to hang up use the patient portal- the third patient portal system I've had to switch to since being there) and then, when I finally get a person on the line, it's a receptionist for Emory (not the office) who schedules me an appointment for the end of the week to get my refill. However, the next day the office calls and tells me that Ahmadi is out all week and, not only will she not be answering my request on the portal, but they are rescheduling my appointment for another three weeks from now. This means that I will have to go a month without the script that I need and have been taking, without problem, for years. I can't get anyone with any kind of medical degree to answer me, just a receptionist who tells me to wait. It's infuriating. No one treats you like a human and problems with a very simple solution are ignored until someone feels like addressing it.

Months later I was billed $200 from the lab corps, I reached out to Susan Nation, their business manager to in attempt resolve the issue, after leaving MULTIPLE VOICEMAIL messages and emailing her, she finally responded after I contact the office main number and had them transfer the phone to her directly - but nothing to resolved. I ended up paying for the unwanted lab test and paying their office fee of $167 thinking I will never have to deal with them again. A year later, I received a letter from a collection agency stating that I had not paid my bill, can you guys not get your booking together? Their business manager Susan is AWFUL at her job. I'm not sure how she is still there at the office as inefficient and unresponsive she to do her job. Anyway, My advice is STAY AWAY from this office if you want a long term family practice that have stable doctor, with staff who are organized in their bookings and doesn't caused you financial headache. I had to email Susan today with my bank statement showing I had paid her last year and asked her to contact the collection agency to remove me off their list and inactivate me as a patient at their office, I wouldn't be surprise if she doesn't respond.

It doesn't even matter if the actual Doctors are good or not, because just to see one is nearly impossible with the incompetent office staff here. First they will never answer their phone. Never return calls. If you finally get through, they will get your information wrong and make appointments for wrong days. The first few times I called to get an appointment as a new patient, they didn't even want to bother with me. They told me to call another office. I looked up the other place they told me to call and it was completely out of the way. I did not want to drive an hour for a Doctor visit. After seeing all the awful stress my wife had dealing with them I decided to give up and seek a regular physician somewhere else. They do not adhere to the insurance contracts they have. They will charge you full price every time they think they can get away with it. They told my wife to pay full price because she still had a deductible. The only problem is the FAMILY deductible was met, so my wife should not be charged anything for the visit. They held her medical care hostage by telling her they will refuse to see her unless she paid up. She finally just paid in order to see the Doctor. Once all the insurance papers were filed and an insurance check was issued to this office, my wife called up to get a refund on her overpayment. This was a year ago. Multiple calls and in-person visits later and we still have not gotten our money back from them. Bottom line.... AVOID!!

This has been a very long and expensive and Traumatic Journey. "Dr.Bindiya pointed me in the right direction for healing" . I had multiple misdiagnoses from Specialist and the ER. "Dr. Bindiya and she knew better and helped me." Eventually I had to see specialist in California trained in the doctor Shoemaker protocol which was for the best . Once you are removed from the exposure which is (very difficult because mold is every where )and you still are very stick you may have condition called CIRS =chronic inflammatory response syndrome. This condition affects every system of your body and causes brain inflammation which will add to the brain fog feeling hungover. I had to get a Nuro quadrant MRI to prove this Inflammation was in the brain it can also show it there is atrophy. I had to see doctors that were trained Dr. Shoemaker's protocol and familiar with Dr. Neal Nathan's Modifications for hyper sensitive people like me. Toxin exposure affects every part of the body from your brain, nerves , eyes, stomach , hormones and even your automatic breathing , blood pressure/heart rate. You can develop dysautonomia and mass cell activation .It's truly awful. You make look healthy on the outside and but be walking around feelings dazed and confused and very toxic sick hungover feeling , with pain, numbness, balance issues, micro seizures, tremors and severe light sensitivity , chemical sensitivity , so many other symptoms . For those that are suffering with this here are some things that helped give some relief. Hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatments by far gave the most relief and in a short period with in 30min (expensive but when you need relief very worth it) .I did 5 days a week for 90min for two months ) but with that I am not recovered unfortunately If you're very bad off like I am your doctor might prescribe you a portable oxygen unit .Ice packs for head and general over heating , avoiding hotels especially with window air conditioners. Also avoid using central air when you can and make sure your vents are cleaned. Ditch all house toxins products and I do mean all!! I was able to start eating /digesting again after using A combination-of Sovereign Laboratories Advanced Prebiotic Liposomal Colostrum Powder , and the liver and gallbladder detox by Andreas Moritz with modifications because of weakness . You When you have a chronic illness you need a doctor that can spend an hour with you, this condition is very complicated.Another thing that comes with is trauma ;Fear hormones shooting left and right ;this can make anxiety and even severe panic attacks a regular occurrence with this condition .Do your best not to watch anything that will increase adrenaline or add any stress, try sticking to comedy. Remove stressful people from your life.Releasing positive endorphins helps the most . Another thing I had to learn the hard way over exerting can cause less oxygen to your tissues and organs. Glutathione and vitamin C in liquid form will be your best friend and IVs are great if you can afford them. But the "Winning Star" after this long journey is the "biotoxin binder made by a brand called Cell Core" prove to be effective at removing the toxins with evidence of my lab tests, but also have the least negative side effects .I recommend going to doctor who does muscle testing. note under the Dr.Shoemaker protocol there two binders but I could not tolerate them well , they are Cholestyramine and Welchol. They caused me to suffer Herxheimer Reaction over and over again too many toxins coming out at once, but that was just for me ,others can tolerate it.) I also recommend get your hormones checked and regularly some of my levels were so low they were not readable by the lab. This information for those that are lost as I was.Always check with your doctor before doing anything new . I wish I had this information years ago and I truly hope this helps someone else.
