The next thing you will notice is the friendly greeting you will receive. Each time I go to Fishinger Dental I am greeted by people who are upbeat and seem genuinely happy in their work. To me, that's a very "telling sign" of a well run office. Something I really appreciate. The next thing I always notice is the concern for my comfort, whether its for a routine cleaning or a more complex dental procedure. I have great confidence in all the staff members, be it a Dental Hygienist or either of the two Dentists. There are many options in Central Ohio as to where one might go to receive good dental care. Fishinger Dental appears to me to be one that is outstanding. I have never had an inclination to go elsewhere. The office failed to credit my account for three separate Mastercard charges totaling $7,000. Despite providing my bank statements as proof of payment, Dr. Butler refused to acknowledge the error. Instead of working with me, he incredibly accused me of attempting to extort money from him, and even threatened to involve the police which I i would have welcomed. Months later, his staff called to admit they had "found" the payments. I never received an apology from Dr. Butler for his baseless accusations or the stress this caused me. But the story doesn't end there. When I asked for the payment summary, I noticed he only credited me $5,000, claiming they never received the third MC payment of $2,000, though it clearly shows payment to him on my credit card billing statement. I am currently out $2,000 with zero communication from the office on how to resolve this. Dealing with this practice has been a nightmare. Save yourself the headache and your money--find a different provider!

I have a lot of fear about going to the dentist and honestly the thing that makes me the most afraid is the cleaning. The idea of scraping and vibrating on my teeth just makes my entire body cringe, and I also have lots of memories of dental hygienists being borderline sadistic when I visited the dentist as a child and teenager. I told the woman who did my cleaning (I'm sorry, I don't remember her name) that I was very afraid and was likely to cry and she was so kind to me the entire time. I did cry, basically nonstop throughout, but she didn't seem phased at all and it didn't seem to make her uncomfortable (or she was really good at faking it). She also didn't give me a bunch of lectures except to say that the cleaning won't be so bad once I start coming in every 6 months. Whenever she did something that caused me to wince in pain she would apologize and explain why it hurt or why she had to keep digging around and I never felt blamed or shamed. So yeah, I mean, a dental cleaning is what it is and I had 20 years of no professional cleanings so I'm not going to say I had a good time. But I was really happy that the woman was so kind to me. The dentist spent very little time with me, just looked in and said I probably needed a root canal for the chipped molar and he gave me a referral. He said some other things but he is really soft-spoken and was wearing a mask so I'm not sure exactly what he said all the time. I was also not in a very good headspace for understanding or asking questions, so it's probably just as well that he didn't tell me much, but it would have been nice if he slowed down a second and told me more about what I needed and why. I've never had a root canal and after consulting with Dr. Google I understand a little more about what will happen.

The dentist was so kind and gentle. He accommodated me when no one else would. I also get nervous and light headed and he was so kind and patient with me.
