My son had to have his adenoids removed just shy of turning 2 and between the battery of tests and probing in his mouth, he was not inclined to allow anyone to look in without a battle...brushing was done daily, but not always the easiest of tasks. At the first visit, Dr. Soult met with us in an office and just went over concerns I had, as well as, did a very quick & painless review of my sons teeth. It started pretty badly, but with Dr. Soult's patience and calm demeanor, he was able to check inside my sons mouth no problems thereafter. A similar scenario at his second 3 yr appt, but with his 4 yr bi-annual, the flossing and polishing took place with my son smiling, laughing, and even saying thank you! It was just wonderful to watch and made this mama bear very proud. My son now asks when he will be going to the dentist to get his teeth cleaned. Dr. Soult is amazing with children and has them participate with the whole examination and has made the cleaning very interactive, educational, and fun for those little ones. The hygienist are also very pleasant and do a fantastic job. I am elated that my insurance participates with this practice and will continue to take my son for as long as the practice is open. So glad I was able to start my son off on the right-foot and with this amazing dentist. I enthusiastically endorse this dentist and his practice. I hope the enthusiasm my son carries now about going to dentist continues for the rest of his life!

Found this place on Groupon when I first relocated to Columbus and I have been with them ever…read moresince. The staff is attentive and friendly and overall the place is just GREAT! I have referred 5 people since I have been a client and they all talk highly of the establishment. This is the place to go to if you want to feel like a person, rather than just a number.

I dislike having to update my review to such a low score, but after going to a new dentist and…read morereceiving such drastically improved care, I can't let my 5 star rating stand. I started off absolutely loving Linworth Family Dental. I truly enjoyed my visits and cleanings in the beginning. The staff seemed close knit and their website appeared to bolster that sense of closeness. But after a couple of years, I noticed my favorite hygienists suddenly no longer working there. It started off with one or two staff, but then it felt like at the next appointment, I didn't recognize any of the hygienists. I understand that people move, change jobs, etc, but I was a little concerned. Another reason for my low rating is that with each passing appointment, more and more advertisements for beauty procedures (like Botox) were put on the walls. I've seen plenty of offices with pamphlets, which I understand, but it got to the point where they had a huge retractable banner in the lobby and pictures of clients (which happened to be staff) taped to the walls of every single exam room. It felt more like a cosmetic spa than a dentist office. An additional reason is that the cleaning during my last visit was very sloppy and rushed. The hygienist was a young girl who kept telling me about how stressed she was for losing the key fob to her dad's Mercedes Benz. She kept stopping to tell me the story instead of focusing on the cleaning. When it came time to put fluoride on my teeth, she globbed so much on that even my fiancé told me he'd never seen so much caked on someone's teeth (and lips) before. And the worst part? I was due to have my gums measured, which she told me at the beginning of my appointment, but she forgot to do it. I was so frustrated by the end that I didn't even bother to press. I just wanted to go. It was also at this appointment that I found out the dentist I had been seeing had left the practice. My last reason for why I won't be returning is because of the receptionists. My fiancé accompanied me to my last appointment and waited in the lobby while I had my cleaning. As we exited the building, he said he could hear the receptionists behind the front desk speaking poorly about a patient. He said it was uncomfortable sitting in the lobby hearing it all. I find that disheartening and unacceptable. TL;DR: Linworth Family Dental used to be a wonderful dentist office but the quality has gone downhill and the care is nowhere near what it used to be. I cannot in good faith recommend this practice anymore.

When she was littler, she sat on my lap with her head on the lap of the assistant for the cleaning. Now she's a big four year old (well, actually a small in stature four year old, but still a Big Girl), so she gets to sit in the chair and watches cartoons above her head. Like most kids, she's nervous about coming but even when she cries in the appointment, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure it ends on a good note. Case in point - today's misadventures in dental cleaning. Rod was our dental assistant, and he was amazing! He had a fun welcoming demeanor, and constantly talked to my kiddo, asking her questions and trying to keep her relaxed. He even sang "Let it Go" for her. It was her best dental prophy ever...until... when she was done having the top arcade cleaned, he went to rinse her and she somehow gagged on the water, which caused her to vomit (Hines staff, I promise we didn't infect you - she's been absolutely fine since). Rod, angel that he is, cleaned her up (with my assistance, don't worry) without missing a beat, and with a smile on his face (or so I assume - I mean he was masked, but was joking about the "Let it Go" incident, so...) And then once she calmed down, he got her to let him brush the bottom arcade with her new toothbrush! Miracles, I tell you. Dr. Vollmar was also wonderful, and gently "counted" my girl's teeth and then flossed. That's right - these folks are so good at what they do, that your kid can be totally traumatized halfway through (no fault of the staff - gagging just sometimes catches you off guard), and they still can get your kid to leave with a smile AFTER finishing the cleaning. Thanks a million! H is so proud of her "perfect" teeth.

This is the most disempowering pediatric dental office I've ever experienced…read more Their policies should be reviewed for Medicaid fraud. They pressured us into agreeing to treatments on healthy teeth that had received no X-rays. Their approach as stated by their surgery coordinator is 'all or nothing'--either agree to their full surgical treatment plan that can include additional work not identified prior to surgery, or else they won't see you. You basically sign your rights away before surgery and your kid can come out with all capped teeth without you agreeing.
