This location always finds a way to screw up my Wendy's experience. I come here for a quick bite to eat. You would think my visit would be simple, quick and delicious. NOT. They forgot most of the items in my bag? Like how do you do that when you stare at a screen that has the items listed? So I get home and realized they forgot to put some of my food in the bag. I call them and ask them to refund my credit card. "We cannot refund you over the phone, you have to come in" WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT, should just go pick up my food instead AND get a refund. I get to the door, and the manager abrubtly states "Sorry, the inside is closed" I'M HERE FOR MY REFUND.... He just refunded the one item, not the meal which I thought was awful customer service, but it wasn't worth my time arguing wit hthe 19 year old so called manager.... Yes, he made me stand outside of the door, while he got my food and refund. RIDICULOUS? YES. NEVER AGAIN.....after this has happened to my mom and dad as well. read more

I am making an exception to review this Wendy's as you know what to expect of a fast food restaurant experience. But this was that bad, it should be a zero star. Two complaints, time and quality. I do not eat at Wendy's often (1-2 times per year) but know what to expect. First the time it took to even order say nothing about getting the food was ridiculous. I waited in the drive through lane for ten minutes with no movement. I backed out and went inside to order. This is where the chaos hit me. There was one person out front taking and filling orders, one person working the grill and three people milling around unsure of what they were supposed to be doing. It took me an additional 5 minutes to order and I was first in line. The food took a while to come out and I derived entertainment out of the haphazard kitchen staff. The one person working the grill was the only one performing their job. Four different people were using the frier, packing food, and watching in disbelief as customers piled up with no thought in their head of how to help the situation. It was painful to watch. Second, the quality. For me it is pretty hard to mess up a fast food burger. The patty, bun, and condiments all fit the same form factor and, although antiseptic tasting, all you have to do is stack them in the right order. My patty was burnt, the lettuce was inedible, and the way is was put together looked nothing like a regular burger. The fries were overlooked and cold by the time the burgers made it into the bag. I don't usually take the time to complain about fast food as you get what you pay for but this set a new low for me as a dining experience. Wendy's if you are listening, please shut this location down, it is giving you a poor brand experience. After reading prior reviews it also appears you have no intention in addressing anyone's concerns. read more

I pass by this Wendy almost every other week. In my way from Lahey hospital to go home. Customers service is excellent, food is fresh. The place is very clean. I do recommend that if you in the area to go in and enjoy a fresh meal. read more

With Wendy's, you can't go wrong. For some inexplicable reason, we were jonesin' for burgers, and went here through the drive-thru. Remember when this was a Friendly's? Service was fast - and we ate when we got home. Stuff is just what you get at all other Wendy's! The burger was nice and fresh and satisfying - their fries sucked. Service was incredibly slow. Our order was messed up (missed one drink). The manager of the restaurant had never heard of "club soda", "seltzer" or "plain soda water". My mother-in-law tried ordering a plain club soda and the manager kept asking her what kind of soda she wanted. This wasn't some doofus high school kid who hadn't taken five seconds to learn what the little button on the side of the soda dispenser was for; this was the manager. I went tonight and ordered a Dave's single and 10 piece nuggets were on the 2 for $5. While my card was in the debit card machine I realized the employee charged me $4.79 for the burger and $2.99 for the nuggets. When I mentioned the error he told me it was my fault for not mentioning I wanted the 2 for $5 deal. I said I don't work there and if I screwed up at my work I would admit my mistake. The manager paid the difference but the staff appears they would rather get you than help out the customer. I would say they will eventually pay for the poor service but I have been going here 5 years and it is always the same slow servive and I always have to check the bag for mistakes and nothing will change until a good company builds something on Montvale that serves burgers and cares about customer service. read more

I go here frequently because it is close to my work. The constantly upcharge to Medium when you explicitly say small and alway put in for a double burger unless you explicitly say you want a single. It's out of control and it happens every time unless you get the nice older woman on the intercom. It's getting really annoying and something should be done about it through management. read more

WOW.. ive never been to a worse Wendys in my entire life. Went in on Sunday May 27th. Counter workers have conversations with their friends and dont bother to take orders, had to use the kiosk. Then waited 25 minutes for my food. the burger had bits of bugs or dirt on it. It looked as if the bun and lettuce had been dropped on the floor. The burger itself wasnt even warm or anything close to have been cooked recently. The nuggets were room temperature, the fries looked and tasted 3 days old. I threw all of it out. Youd figure the 20 minute prep time meant FRESH food. quite the opposite. then the beverage.. te one thing you figure they couldnt screw up... WRONG. one soda machine had no ice, the other had no products available so you had to go back and forth between the 2. and when you did get a soda it was HOT!!! and flat. It melted half a cup of ice by the time i got to my car and still wasnt even cold.. just flat, disgusting soda.. This place should be shut down based on the way it was run this day. I'm just going to paste a copy of the email I sent to customer care. I don't want to get into their lack of competent response because this review should remain relative to just the Woburn restaurant. Hello: On Saturday, September 29, 2018, I placed a carryout order via your iOS application. Unfortunately, I was not able to pickup my order, and in trying to do so I experienced several other issues. The best way to detail what transpired is probably chronologically, so: 9:45pm (approx.) - I enter the order via the app and begin driving to the store. 10:05pm (approx.) - I arrive at the store and park in front of one of the entrance doors. It occurs to me that the dining room may have closed at 10:00pm, but I see at least a dozen people still inside and assume it must be open until 11:00pm. I decide to make a small change to my order and open the app to make the change. 10:14pm - I complete the order change, wait a moment for it to process, then make my way to the door. Another man is also walking to the door just ahead of me. When he gets to the door he stops. Within seconds another man approaches the door from the inside and unlocks it. I notice that the dining room seems to have emptied out while I was in my car for 10 minutes. I also notice that the man that walked up ahead of me appears to be dressed like an employee. So now my assumption is that the dining room is closed and the employee must've exited for some reason and now needs to be let in. Still, my order was pre-paid for carryout, and the drive-thru line is fairly long, so I approach the door before it closes to ask if I can just be handed my order. No sooner did I have "Excuse me" out of my mouth before the employee that was entering had pulled the door out of my hands and said "Inside closed". I yelled that I just wanted to get my carryout order. Both men ignored me and continued on their way behind the counter. 10:30pm (approx.) - I reach the drive-thru window. The employee at the window is the one that let the other employee into the restaurant 15 minutes earlier. I give him my order number from the app. He says he doesn't see my order. I show him the order receipt on my phone, and even open my bank app to show him I was charged. Without showing any interest in checking he again says that he doesn't see my order, and can't hold up the drive-thru line in order to help me sort it out. 10:32pm (approx.) - I park and go up to the door. There's a third male employee cleaning up inside, just a few feet from the door. I knock a dozen times before he acknowledges me in any way. When he turns I ask if he can grab a manager, or anybody that can help me get my order. He turns away and continues on with his cleaning. I then step a few feet over to the window facing the counter area and begin knocking on the window. I'm ignored until I knock so hard that my knuckles hurt. The employee at the drive-thru window comes over to the inside of the window where I'm standing. I again hold my phone up to show him my order and ask that he please get my food so I can leave. He says there's nothing he can do unless I want to pay for a new order. At this point I'm so hungry and frustrated that I agree, figuring I can deal with this mess later. But I didn't realize that he meant for me to again enter the drive-thru line. He turned and walked away before I could protest, so ... again I get into the line. 10:51pm - I pay a second time for the same single order of food. There was never a single "sorry for the inconvenience" or any apology of any sort. In fact, each of the three employees that I interacted with during this ordeal was indifferent or flat out rude. The primary complaint is that I was charged twice for the same order. But as you can no doubt surmise on your own, there was a lot more that went wrong that evening than just a missing order. I wonder if the front counter cashier was trained to not look at customers given the risk that acknowledging our existence might lead to expectations of politeness. Nothing big just a polite assurance that they'll be right with us....but I guess that would just be expecting a lie because they aren't about to get to us at all.... they are about to make us wait to the point of regret because the back half of the business is completely screwed up and isn't putting out food. I like Wendys food every quarter or so. And I haven't eaten all day so I was pretty much ready to eat anything especially a juicy hamburger. But I did just walk out after not being able to get any service/food. Staying longer seemed pointless because if you can't get food at a fast food restaurant there's always another where you can get service. I was about to drive away when I thought about the drive-through. Im hungry but how impatient could I possibly feel if I was at least sitting in my warm car seat and listening to the radio? Well I got my answer quickly - I got in line only to see the line never move in 10 minutes. Strike two is an out in fast food. Fortunately I hadn't been blocked in by anyone else because I was at the very end of the line hanging at the end of the parking lot. So I back my way out and drove back the two or three miles I went out of my way. I can and will patronize a closer establishment that actually does care about my business. Again I like Wendys food but this place always sucks on service both at the front counter and what's going on behind the counter there's no sense of customer importance or urgency and getting people their food on time. I would give them ZERO STARS if I could. Worst service ever and the rudest employees I've had the displeasure of encountering. They rush you to order and give you attitude. Two days ago I received all cold food and when they went to replace it, gave me the completely wrong order with a side of more attitude. Today I decided to try breakfast since I was staying in a hotel nearby & they are pushing it so much, and give them another shot. When I asked for maple syrup I was screamed at that they don't carry any. When I asked for a cup holder for my drinks (for the second time) the lady rolled her eyes at me and sighed as if I was Inconveniencing her. While waiting for my food I could hear her yelling at the person behind me while she took their food order as well. The service was absolutely terrible and the food (when not freezing cold) was subpar. I will never return to this location ever again, I don't deserve to be berated and made to feel anxious when trying to order my food. Absolutely disgusting treatment of customers. read more

This is the Wendy's I always go to. They are definitely pretty good, but often their sandwiches aren't made so well. Typically, if you get something like a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, the lettuce and tomato will be hanging out. Sometimes they mess up putting pickles on things that aren't supposed to come with pickles, and so on. Overall though, their service is very good. They almost NEVER mess up my order and I go here almost every Sunday on my work break. I recommend their spicy chicken go wrap. They use a larger piece of chicken than many of the other Wendy's locations in the area. Their management is very good, and they are quite attentive. I bet there's a better Wendy's within an hour or so for FOOD quality, but this one has exceptional service, and I am a fast food connoisseur. read more

*This review has NOTHING to do with the food at this location,though I am a regular Wendys customer.Apparently,the Manager at this location does NOT check the parking lot as it has segments of BLACK ICE .I was going to place an order in the drive thru,but my car landed on a patch of black ice near the entrance of the drive thru & slammed HARD causing me to get a $60.00 wheel alignment!!! I mentioned this to the manager & he gave me a hard time about it!!! I felt so bad, I almost left. I had to wait about five minutes until someone actually approached me and asked if I wanted to order something. They just kept looking at me and ignored. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I visited night/late night. Incompetent staff who are not courteous and could not care less with getting an order right. I stressed NO MAYONNAISE and was told the particular burger I ordered doesn't come with it anyway. Guess what happened? Yup. They put mayonnaise on it. Possibly THE WORST WENDY'S EVER. They revamped the place recently, but the drive thru menu is way up by the restaurant and blocked by an electrical box so when people are stuck in the queue they cannot see the menu until last minute. I will never go back there. I would rather starve. Management/Franchise Owner should be ashamed for such sloppy, care free service provided by the staff. read more

I went to the Woburn, MA location on Montvale Ave on 7/6/13 at 10:30 PM and ordered two chicken filet sandwiches. I took them home and had them for a late dinner. Half way through the second sandwich, I noticed a taste that was very peculiar. It tasted like they put pickles in the sandwich. I checked and found no pickles. I decided not to have any more and threw it away. I woke up at 5AM with severe stomach cramps, followed by vomiting. I happened to tell a friend about my experience and he told me that he went to the same location two days later(Sunday, 6PM) and had the same experience. He had a Bacon cheeseburger. He ended up in the hospital with acute food poisoning and had to have his stomach pumped. This place should be closed down, as far as I'm concerned. Very dangerous. I have also learned that a woman died from eating food she ordered from the Wellesley, MA location on Rte. 9. The staff hardly speaks English and have no clue how to do the right thing. My advice: When you approach a Wendy's, RUN. read more
