I asked for no tomatoes on my sandwich. When I got the food it had tomatoes on it. Also the fry's were stale and were like chips.

Grimy, most often serving cold, uninspiring food, combined with marijuana-reeking indifferent staff does not feel like Dave's Way.

The burgers are all made to order and if you haven't tried the Walleye when they have it you really should. It's amazing and they always have it around Lent. Today I got a kids meal but this time I tried the grilled cheese instead of a burger. I also got broccoli for my side. When you eat in, they give you the kids meal bag but put your food on the tray. Don't toss that bag though because there are two coupons you'll want to save on there. One is for a free scoop of custard and the other is a coupon you collect until you get 10 of them. Once you have 10 you can redeem it for a free kids meal. My husband tried the Sourdough burger for the first time. He absolutely loved it and said he would definitely get it again.

The burgers are a bit greasy but that's ok. They are smash type burgers that are seasoned perfectly and taste great. They also have chicken and fish sandwiches for the non beef peeps! The fries are crispy thick crinkle type. The dining room is very clean with plenty of seating in a cool warm laid back environment. End your meal with a chocolate or vanilla custard sundae or one of their many other combinations. That was the icing on the cake!

I finally found one that hit the mark on both Service and Food. I have to give a huge shoutout to Aaron! He took the order as we went through the drive thru and he made sure everything was right when we got to the window. He had a great personality and did a great job. He gave us options on things we asked. When I asked for Ketchup he gave me regular and said "try this it's our spicy ketchup" We ordered onion rings and he gave another sauce and said, "this is our favorite that most people love" Hope Aaron is a sign of this Whataburger doing things right. GOOD JOB!

The teenage order taker came out from the kitchen area and just looked at me. I finally said "hey, how are you doing". He didn't really respond so I just placed my order. To say he was disinterested is being kind. I got my napkins and filled my drink. The condiment section was lacking salt, so I just went to my table. When the food was brought to me, the employee offered me two kinds of ketchup. Her tray did not have any salt on it either, so I had to ask her to bring some, which she did. Very perfunctory. The burger and fries were just barely warm. The fries tasted fine, but we're nothing to get excited about. The burger patties were thin, dry, and insipid. The toppings were just average. Again, the burger was on the wrong side of warm and did not taste fresh at all. There's just not much positive to say about my experience here this evening. WHATABURGER? Try WHATADISAPPOINTMENT.

There is an abundance of seating, with a few outside tables thrown in. I ordered the Small Bacon Cheeseburger, a Hot Dog with relish, and a small FF. There is no table service here, order & pay, grab a seat. My order took just under 10 minutes - I spent the time getting condiments and eating a few of the complementary peanuts! The hot dog was ok but the relish is not something I'm fond of, way too sweet). The wiener is of a very good quality, was well sized, split lengthwise and nicely grilled - wish they offered kraut. Decent dog but not worth $7 for just the dog! The burger is great tasting, hand formed, and very fresh. Even the "small" burger is of a nice size, and nestled in a soft sesame seed bun, with fresh lettuce and tomato. Nice burger but at $10.19 you can find the same quality at several local spots for $2 or so less - like Bobo's (3 blocks or so away - $7.79) or TJ's Deli ($8.25), Alex's Grill in Lewisville ( 6oz burger and a side for $9.45), and even the Greek Guys Grill ($9.05 & including a drink). The FF are as good as it gets, fresh cut and well cooked in peanut oil. The size is big, really big, so that even at $5.19 for a small order you get both the best quality and a decent value, maybe the only real value item on their menu! This place offers a nice atmosphere, though a bit sterile, and the music is pretty awful. You will get high quality almost every time in, but you may find that the pricing makes the lack of value a deterrent to visiting often. Probably stop in again. drawn by the FF and peanut.

The menu is primarily hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, NC style BBQ, and of course, milk shakes. Until recently there were no spots that had any inside seating, but this is gradually changing. They are known for the small building with drive thru lanes on both sides, and this plus the congestion surrounding many of their locations can make getting in and out a challenge, though this one in not as bad as many! The burgers and chicken sandwiches here are far superior to the offerings of any national chain l, with the possible exception of a properly staffed and operating Culver's - the one in Winston is not one of those, the one in Kernersville most certainly is. The number of locals spots that rival the offerings here is very small. I ordered each of my favorite items here - Bacon Cheeseburger and the Crispy, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The time in line here are generally a bit longer than the larger chains, but still around 10 minutes. The burger was excellent and well sized as alway, these folks just know how to make a great burger. And the crispy, spicy chicken sandwich is as good as anyone's, including the cult one at Popeyes! Only the BYO at Bad Daddy's is possibly a bit better, and definitely is bigger! I have found the food at Cook Out locations to be consistently excellent with very few bad experiences. I walked in to a packed restaurant with a line almost out the door. The young lady at the counter tells me before I order there is a 30-40 minute wait on the food and while that sounds ridiculous, I drove all the way from Asheboro for one of their burgers because I already know it's worth the wait. No problem! The place is right off the main road and there's plenty of parking with additional parking in the rear. The inside appearance is that of a burger joint. Not too fancy but clean. I ordered the Jr. Cheeseburger with extra cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayo, a Hot Dog all the way, Seasoned fries and a Sweet Tea. Their burgers are served hot and are cooked until the edges are "lacy" and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. They use potato buns and they and are so fresh and grilled on one side which gives the burger additional good flavor. The fries are cooked perfectly, served hot and lightly seasoned. And you can get some of their homemade ranch to dip them in. I know they are known for their burgers but they also have AWESOME Hot Dogs! The weiner is grilled and again, the bun is grilled on one side, just makes your tongue all kind of happy. I ordered my hot dog "All the Way" aka "Carolina Style". The chili was good, the white slaw was fresh and light, onions added a hint of sweetness, and the mustard ties all of the flavors together in a well made, high quality hot dog. They also have really good sweet tea. Nicks has the BEST burgers and hot dogs in the Triangle area and I highly recommend but get there as soon as they open or you may find yourself waiting in line. The melted cheese was dripping over the sides, the bun was soft and fresh, and every bite just kept getting better. The fries deserved their own round of applause. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so addictive I kept telling myself, "Just one more"... about 30 fries ago. I don't know what kind of magic they're working back there, but they absolutely nailed it. This wasn't one of those burgers you eat because you're hungry--this was the kind you eat in complete silence because you're too busy enjoying every bite. On top of the amazing food, the service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. They also have covered outdoor picnic tables with fans running overhead, which was a really nice touch. It made sitting outside comfortable even on a warm day and gave the place a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. Safe to say this place has officially ruined mediocre burgers for me. I'll definitely be back... and next time I might need two orders of fries because sharing isn't going to happen.
