Quite literally the slowest and most pathetic fast food restaurant and wendy's i've ever been too. Last 3 times i've been here it's taken 20+ minutes for a simple biggie bag when i'm the only car in line. Half the employees are always outback smoking pot or sitting in the dining area on their phones. This location needs new management or needs to be shut down. Waited in line for 10 minutes only for the drive through worker to tell me they weren't accepting orders for 20- 30 minutes because the "monitor turned off and needed to reboot." My orders have NEVER been correct at this location. I don't know who the franchise owner is but please stop letting employees take breaks due to imagined technical difficulties. read more

Worst Wendy's on the planet. I should have left but waited over 30 minutes in line. Then was told to pull over because they had no meat cooked. Three cars were already pulled over and a truck was pulled forward, blocking most of the exit. I told them no and got my money back. Think about it. Doesn't even deserve a 1 star. Extremely slow service. Dining room is closed due to Covid-19 and we still sat in the drive through line for 10 mins before we could order. We got our food and drove home only to find that they had not put our baked potato in our bag, they put onion on a burger that we specifically said "NO onion", and 2 of the 3 burgers were very raw. When I get fast food, I don't really ask for much. If the fries aren't warm, ok. If my burger has pickles on it even though i asked without, i'll pick it off. After a long day of traveling from Ft. Lauderdale to see my husbands family in Urbana, it was late and everything was closed so my husband rolled through the drive through. Normally fast food is terrible, but this was REALLY terrible. They gave us our fries in drink cups (weird) and the fries were so soggy like they sat there and disintegrated under the heat lamp all day. The burgers weren't that great either, though edible as I was starving and would have ate just about everything except for soggy nasty fries. Not really mad about it, but I kind of wish we chose another place so I didn't have to throw out half of my meal and waste my money. read more

I have been going here on and off since this locations was built in the 80's. To be honest it's been more off than on for quite some time now as the quality and service has been very hit and miss. Today, after a busy day I swung in to finally get a bite to eat at 2:45. Two cars in front of me and they were not moving. 10 minutes went by. I finally get to the speaker and...nothing. "Not a "take a minute to look at the menu and we'll be with you". Nothing. I waited another FIVE minutes to be acknowledged. The kid finally gets my order and I pull around. He said they only have 3 people who showed up. I told him that's understandable but he should let people know on the speaker. 25 minutes after I left my house blocks away I returned with lunch. The fries were soggy and cold and the burger overcooked. I called and spoke to a manager who 1) spent the time on the phone talking OVER me rather than listening to me. 2) made nothing but excuses. I don't care how many employees you have. Whether you have 3 or 30 the quality damn well better be the same because the price sure doesn't change!! 3) she was clearly way too young and unprofessional to be in management 4) she expected me to drive back and return the food. After waiting a half hour?!!!!!! You want me to wait another half hour?! That is not a solution or even close to one. 5) after talking over me and clearly not giving a damn about anything I had to say she got extremely rude with me and hung up!! Soooooo....I called corporate. That woman listened to my concerns and was professional like management should always be. A general manger will be calling me, the young man at the window did the best he could and I let corporate know that and hopefully little miss attitude will get some proper training on customer service although given the history there I highly doubt it. Next time I pay $16 for 2 lunches for my daughter and I we'll go.....ANYWHERE but Wendy's in Urbana. $16 can buy a damn good meal with great customer service at any local joint in town and the wait would have been less. I didn't expect filet mignon but when I'm busy and hungry I damn well better get cooked properly and warm at the very least! Long story short-We were not happy with our experience at our local Wendys so called the main wendys number..Im told we would receive a call back..Never did..I called again to find out why..Turns out the support got my number wrong so this was why nobody had called..They apologized for this error.A few days later I hear from district manager who was very kind and wanted to send us free coupons..He asked me which wendys wed prefer-Bellefontaine or Urbana?We chose Urbana..We soon received our 5 coupons and went to Urbana..When we got there it was busy so we waited in iline until it was our turn..The asst manager looks at the coupons and says-I dont know about these!Hold on a minute..She then comes back and says-you can use one..I replied,One?Were driving 30 mile round trip and were told we could use all of these..The chili will go on my potato-this is why the man gave me a coupon for both..She replies-Im sorry..My manager say only one..I reply-well alright,Ill have the chili and shell have her combo..She replies,no it can only be one..I try explaining that it came from the district manager..She just didnt care..We walked out and ate at Mcdonalds..I call main wendys back again to tell them about our visit..I get a call back from Ernie-Urbanas main manager..Hes very kind and apologetic about it all and offers to buy us our meals..I told him wasnt necessary..He says we can come in next week or next month and hed buy us a meal..I thanked him but didnt expect him to do all that..We come back to Wendys again this past Friday..This young asst manager again wasnt going to accept our coupons..When I told her that Ernie sent us here she went ahead and honored the coupons but she was not at all happy about it..Thats for sure..We went out to the car to eat because the environment in that wendys is very negative.We feel sorry for those workers..The cashier was able to smile and was very courteous and kind..She even says thank you..Apparently this manager is unable to say it..Read the review listed before this one..My girlfriend went to the restroom before we ordered..She couldnt wash her hands because there was nothing in there to dry them with and she says the restroom was filthy and looked trashed..We ask-so how do these employees wash their hands before fixing the food if there nothing to wash them with?The front door hasnt ever been windexed..Just look at it and see for yourself..I give the 2 stars here for the kindness of the district manager and the head store manager..We thank them for the coupons and understanding and would suggest they bring in people who are going to make the customers and workers feel good not bad.. read more

If I could report a 0 star I would. The manager is rude, has no customer service skills, and has caused this store to lose customers! We waited 15 minutes AT THE KIOSK to place our order. Finally a girl goes to take our order and answers a question we had about the breakfast burrito. We place our order for our family and wait another 5 mins with a worker smoking behind the building, blowing smoke into our van. We get to the window and the manager tells us the girl taking our order failed to tell us they didn't have burritos today. I said "After waiting 20 mins, seriously?!" She then rants about being short staffed and only having two people. I said that's not our fault. She said it wasn't hers either and that she was not serving us. So we had to drive to the next town in our journey to feed our child, who was hungry and not able to eat the food he wanted because of a managers crappy attitude and crappy customer service. Urbana...a one horse town where the horse was elected mayor. This Wendy's should be in a Yelp category all its own because "fast" it is not, and the jury is out on whether or not it qualifies as "food". CONSISTENTLY the slowest service of any Wendy's I have ever patronized, and CONSISTENTLY the stalest food. To wait 20min in a drive-thru with two cars in front of me I would expect to see a potato field out back with a grazing herd of cattle, and then to bite into the hottest, freshest burger and fries in the state...but alas...even after ordering a special order Dave's Double hoping to force them to fry one up fresh for me, still tepid and disgusting. I suspect they are actually unwrapping one of their heat lamp burgers and using their unwashed fingers to peal off the lettuce to satisfy my request. This is truly a restaurant by mouth breathers, for mouth breathers, and I am considering having a mental assessment done to determine why I keep coming back and expecting a different outcome. The owner is clearly clueless or indifferent as Wendy's is a simple business model with a very simple menu, and each of the dozen or so employees seen staring blankly at order screens, the ceiling, or their own noses has but ONE JOB each to perform, the qualifications for such being 1) a pulse - and - 2) the ability to wear a Wendy's uniform.
