Wendy's in Taos has had some really rough times but I must say that they have really improved. I frequent here and most of the time it hits the spot. It's Wendy's. I set my expectations based on being at plenty of other Wendy's locations. This one stands out in a bad way. SLOW. We were the third party in line when we got there for lunch. There were at least 5 employees working but it took about 15 minutes for us to place our order. It looks like their "system" is to process a single order from start to finish until moving onto the next. That included the cashier, who basically stood there while the others worked at half speed. Our order was ready 5-10 minutes later. FOOD. Again, I recognize this is Wendy's, but the food quality was noticeably worse than other Wendy's locations. My spicy chicken sandwich was dry and tough. They had no ice in the restaurant. The fries were okay at least. I should've paid attention to the other reviews but we rolled the dice since there aren't many options around. If you're reading this, go with one of those other options. read more

Honestly might be worse location in America. Just tried calling you guys 4x back to back because you forgot a whole meal for our order. First she has us wait almost 5min to take our order at the drive thru and finally when she's ready to take our order She rushes us. She must have asked me 5x "is that it?" We finally get to the window and are greeted by a girl wearing a purple tank top, didn't know that was dress code but okay. Definitely not health code as she was sweating and her hair was down as well. missing 10 nuggets and the 4 (which should of been 6) might as well of been rocks, Fries were just as bad(probably made at 10am when they opened), and the 2 drinks we ordered had no ice. We were staying at a hotel near by and only took 1 credit card with us for a quick drive through order. There was a problem with the chip on the credit card and it wouldn't go through despite several attempts. Anyway they gave us the whole order for free. We offered to come back with a new credit card but they insisted. Thank you for your generosity, it was only like $25 but it made our night having had an encounter with kind people :) read more

Got some quick food at this Wendy's. Used the drive thru. The worker forget the chili and if it wasn't for checking the bag we would have left without it. No crackers for chili was provided. Some unfortunate mis-management makes for some very lengthy lines at mealtimes. One breath of fresh air is an effervescent counter service employee who brings such smiles and helpfulness to their job that they can't possibly be paying them enough. Wendy's have started to go into decline across America if this and the one we visited in Cortez are a gauge of that. The initial ordering process in Drive Thru was fair, the gal taking our order kept trying to rush me. Ended every repeat back with "is that all?" questions and then when we got to the window, even after she read the order back the way I said it got it wrong. We had to place another order at the window. Then the gal tells me they have had a really rushed day and could she give me a roll of quarters as she couldn't make change for the 20 I gave her in cash. This was on the second order so we luckily had a smaller bill so I didn't have to run around with a roll of quarters. Funny thing is, when we pulled over to check our order and dole out the food I could hear the next poor sap in line getting the same story. The food was okay but not hot and fresh. The burgers were overcooked and the chili was lukewarm. If we ever go back through Taos again, Wendy's is off my list of fast food places to go to. read more

hamburger and fries were piping hot and not messy! the cashier was smiley and attractive. i got a bacon burger and sugarless tea the bcon was good not hard or grisley. i wont go anywhere else, great experience on a sunday afternoon. was listening to little feat dixie chicken in my beetle. all in all a 5 star experience read more

Horrible experience. Drive thru order was wrong and no receipt provided so I had to return. I was given a bag of my missing items and assured the receipt was inside. Left again and opened the bag half a mile down the road and the item inside was WRONG AGAIN and had someone else's receipt! Had to RETURN AGAIN and demand the items and actual receipt, which showed overcharges and a charge for an item I didn't even order. First off, I waited in line for 27 minutes before ordering my food. There wasn't very many people in line either. When I got my food there was a nugget missing and the people were rude when we told them about it. I also saw the crew and manager being rude to people when they messed up their order. Every time for the last 6 years I go to this location, unless it is lunch time rush hour the food is disgusting. The hamburgers are cold, the fries are like cardboard jerky and gritty with salt. However tonight I went in after my college classes because i was wanting a frosty. It was like chocolate milk but the moment i realized this i was halfway across town. next time i am sitting at the window and checking my food if i ever return at all. McDonald's has been my go to for the last few years. I moved to Taos from Central Ohio (where Wendy's originated) in 2011. I have worked fast food and this place is a very poor example of what Wendy's is about. read more

Easily the worst Wendy's I've been to. The bathrooms were filthy, out of soap and paper towels. I asked for napkins and was informed that the entire store was out of napkins and paper towels. The French fries looked wilted and as though they had been reheated, they tasted the part as well. When we were ready to depart and deposit our trash we were unable to, as the trash bins were filled to capacity.
