The prep area should have been set up properly, especially considering how common dairy allergies and intolerances are. After he explained the prep area situation, he offered a remake or a refund. I opted for the refund and let him know I was right next door and would be over shortly. When I arrived, I stood at the register without being greeted, so I shifted where I was standing to be more visible. I still had to wait another minute or two after being seen. While that's not a long wait, it felt frustrating in the moment -- I was already upset about the food and the conversation, which seemed to focus more on justifying mistakes than resolving them. The manager processed the refund quickly, but then walked away without saying anything. I ended up tearing off my own refund receipt from the register. He returned shortly after with a coupon, which I appreciated -- but it would've been nice to know where he was going instead of being left standing there.
