This was our first visit to 8 Oz Burger while passing through on our way back to Texas…read more We were seated right next to another group, practically back-to-back, even though there was plenty of open seating. Not sure why customers need to be seated that close together. Our waitress arrived about three minutes later and took our drink order. Drinks came out in about five minutes. She then said she'd "be right back," but it took another ten minutes before she returned to take our food order. We ordered nachos as an appetizer along with wings and burger and fries. The appetizer took about ten minutes, and when it arrived, the waitress apologized that the rest of our food wasn't ready yet. That comment didn't make much sense because appetizers aren't supposed to come out with the main course. It actually seemed like she had been holding the nachos until the entrées were almost ready because they weren't as hot as they should have been. Less than five minutes later, our burger and fries arrived. Nachos are a . Burger and fries cook that made my burger use the ends of an onion for my burger. That was not good. Must use the center of an onion and cut it to where they are nice big rings at least 2 or 3 rings of onion. Pickles the same. See the pictures. You'll see what I'm talking about. Wings and fries where awesomely crispy . The restaurant had three servers on the floor, but after our food was delivered, our waitress disappeared. It was close to 30 minutes before we saw her again. She apologized and said she had been busy with back-of-the-house duties. By then we were finished eating, so we asked for the check and a soda to go since I never received a refill. The food was the highlight. Except the nachos. Tasted like something I can do myself at home. The wings were excellent, and the burger and fries were very good. Unfortunately, the customer service and cleanliness took away from the experience. Our table felt sticky, the floor around us was dirty, and service was slow and inattentive throughout the meal. Food: 4/5 Customer Service: 1/5 Cleanliness: 1/5 Would I stop again? For the burger, fries, and wings, yes. But the service and cleanliness need significant improvement before I'd consider it a great dining experience.

First of all, the people are very happy, delightful, friendly, super sweet. My son noted that neither the floor, nor the tables, were sticky!! That's pretty exceptional for a place like this. (It had been opened for 22 years). We considered ordering Po Boys and other sandwiches, but this is Hamburger Happiness, so it had to be hamburgers - or cheeseburgers on our case. They had a special with a burger, any side and a soft drink, I got a small cheeseburger, my son got the large. The burgers come with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and mustard. Mayo can be added. I had mine with no pickles and extra mayo. My son removed the pickles and the onions. The bun to meat ratio was perfect, although I don't think the bun was toasted (not a huge deal). Burger was really hot with cheese well melted. Veggies were still crisp. I had Cajun fries and Ford had onion rings. Both were really good. Don't miss this "hole in the wall ".

Drawback: Corporate didn't allow me to use more points and only gave six (6) points for a $10+ regular sub. I legit thought it was more points but ok. Specific to this location: 1) online orders are handed by a team member once you give your name. It's not self help grab and go but they have them racked and ready for a quick in and out. 2) Seating available 3) I wish they opened earlier to grab that AM crowd on the way to work or get the Sam's Club Business Crowd. Anywhoo, still fresh cut meats but meatball hasn't been back since COVID (NATIONWIDE).

Original fry sauce is the best, and the jalapeño sauce isn't too bad either. They also offer frozen custard, which is great as well. The service has always been nice every time I've gone. To add to all of this, they have the story of Freddy, the founder, all around the restaurant. On Mondays, active servicemen can get a discount (Military Mondays).
