The bartender was sweet. My tacos came out two minutes after ordering I thought no way you can tacos that fast and still be perfect.

Let's just say I love, love, love this place!!! We have always loved Torchy's. However, this past Sunday we got an order to go. After eating it, my husband got violently ill with food poisoning. I reached out to the restaurant because I believe in going to the source. I haven't gotten any response back. After further investigation, it seems that they have failed numerous inspections with one being to maintain the meat at the appropriate temperature and the other is unclean surfaces. All of which could lead to food poisoning. Since the restaurant wasn't interested in discussing with me, my next call will be to the Health Inspector. read more

By far the best veggie tacos you are going to find in Shreveport-Bossier, Fo-Sho (that's what they call the tacos. See what I did there?!). Spicy and flavorful. Pairs well with the Paloma. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly bartender Amanda. She was personable and gave great service! This was our second visit. We ordered chips salsa and Guacamole. They were very good. There were 4 of us and we each ordered 4 different types of tacos. The tacos had different names like The Republican, The Swinger, The Hogfather, Trailer Park, Tipsy Chick, etc. The food runner, not Amanda, came out with the order of tacos and started the names of a bunch of tacos. We could not hear her well and we each ordered 4 tacos each and some of us ordered the same taco. Each plate had 2 tacos on them and we were trying to figure out who ordered each of the 2 tacos on each plate. The food runner became impatient and raised her voice repeating the tacos on the plates. We just took the plates and figured it out ourselves. We were disappointed to have attitude like that. We are first timers to LA and encountered NOTHING but friendly nice people. The friendliest city we have ever visited. But Amanda made up for it with her friendliness. I hade Brushfire which was Jerk Chicken w pineapple, Green Chile Pork, Republican w bbq brisket, and Crossroads w brisket and street corn. These tacos are packed w meat!!!! 4 tacos was way too much!!! These tacos are elevated tacos with different toppings and sauces!! The restaurant has a restaurant and bar. We just happen to be great by Amanda and sat at the bar!! We went earlier in the day for breakfast tacos. They were so good we can back. I recommend Torchys for solid tacos!! In my humble opinion: Curb appeal is basic. There was 6 reserved spots for curbside pickup and zero handicap. So.... Ambiance also okay. Alcohol is available. With bar seating. Seating is also available outside- if you can stand 100°s. My margarita was a little too sour for my taste. I took it home to enjoy at a slower pace. The Chips and Queso (green chili cheese) was good but the chips were a mix of fresh and stale. Finally the Trashy Trailer (?) trailer park tacos. $5 & AMAZING! The flavors were yummy and the chicken was so darn tender. There are many options I would like to try, so I imagine that I will be back. read more

Did a pick up order. Or was ready lightning fast. Very pleased seeing how I was just passing through the area. Very good food and satisfied my taco itch. Only thing was having to stare at my order sitting while someone was not sure what they wanted to order. Solid...I really enjoyed the Fried Avocado....it's served in a Corn tortilla and was surprisingly good...The Tipsy Chick is just that...Tipsy...from all of the overcrowding on this one...the Spinach at the bottom is a great touch but it gets lost...the corn is really good, but way too much sauce...The Chicken on this one was cooked perfectly...My feedback to Torchy's would be...smaller portion sizes...right now you have to fight to keep a taco together just to eat it...the food is definitely worth a stop but it can get messy quick...my wife had a Pork Carnitas & a Brisket Taco and had nothing but good to say about them...we also had a Guacamole appetizer...really good but it is sneak spicy...give'em a try read more

The food is great and the ambiance is nice and kid friendly but the service is not great the employees will try to help if they can but when we went to go get drinks the machine was off and you have to order on a tablet instead of a person and a person wouldn't charge extra for something not saying the ordering device did Im just saying that the ordering device just ins't the best because one customer didn't want something that the ordering device suggested and she couldn't get off the padge with the suggestion so she had to add it to her bag and buy it and some employees are really nice but some employees just don't care. read more

Visited the Shreveport location on a Weds late-afternoon, looking for some drinks and apps. I sat at the bar. Bartender was Isaiah.. he was friendly and helpful! I liked the ambiance as it was low-light. The dark colors of the interior are relaxing. (there was a "regular" seated at the bar, she was nice, and engaged in some casual convo.. i missed her name) I had a coupla' Shiner beers in the bottle, nice & cold. Ordered two tacos by calling thru the automated system. Said they'd be ready by 12:01pm. I arrive and walk thru the entrance labeled "pickup". Took a seat right there at the pick up area because my food wasn't up yet. Sat there for 15mins. Watch a woman come in, order, and get her food and drink - I'm still waiting. 15mins after my order was supposed to be ready I finally get up and ask the bartender about it. She checks on two orders sitting by the regular cash register (not the pick up area), asked me what my I had and tells me there was no name on the order. So I'd been sitting there, not one person acknowledged my presence and my order was sitting at the wrong place the whole time. I get back to my mom, who's in the hospital and attempt to eat my tacos : disgusting. The trailer park was just a salt taco and the jerk chicken one I got was just gross. Waste of my money and time. So Torchy's Tacos is more of a "new to me, not to y'all" post. There's one near my place in Baton Rouge and one near me in Shreveport as well as locations in Arkansas, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. I ordered through the mobile app for curbside pickup. Got there, parked in one of the spaces, let them know I was there, and my food was out 5 minutes later. The tacos were alright! I had the Trailer Park (chicken w/ pico, green Chiles and poblano ranch) and opted to make it trashy (add queso and bacon), the Baja Shrimp (avocado, fried shrimp, pickled red onions, cabbage slaw, cotija cheese and chipotle ranch), and the taco of the month which was the Tuk Tuk (beef, Jack cheese, avocado sauce, sriracha, Thai BBQ sauce, cabbage slaw, Thai pickled veggies, mint and crushed peanuts). The best of the three was the Baja Shrimp. It was fresh, flavorful and not overdone. The Trailer Park tasted good but next time I'd opt not to make it trashy. The Tuk Tuk was actually a little underwhelming. No one thing on the taco stood out and where they came with the creativity, they lacked in execution. Honestly, the real star of the show here was the queso. It wasn't too thick, wasn't too runny, packed a little heat and heated well the next day over leftover chips. Wow. So being that I'm new to the area, I had never heard of Torchy's Tacos. One day recently, I had pulled over into a parking lot in front of a dry cleaners to look up directions and get my bearings straight. A nice young lady came to the car to ask if I'd come to drop off some clothing. I told her that I was actually looking for tacos! Lol. Well she highly recommended Torchy's. I gave them a try today. I was a little skeptical being that they seemed like a "chain" type restaurant. Well boy was I surprised! Torchy's actually served up some of the best Mexican food fast food I've tried so far in Shreveport. I've sampled Queso quite often from my daughters' from other restaurants but the Hillbilly Queso was actually the best I've ever tasted! The Trailer Park and the Crossroads tacos were also very good. I can't say I was a huge fan of the beans. They tasted like they may come from a can. You'll pay a little bit more per taco here but they are actually like mini burritos! I also really like the customization options and the reasonable prices for them. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other tacos. read more

EVERY SINGLE ITEM WAS COLD! Ordered my food online, went in to pick it up.....there were 6 people in the entire restaurant! I sat for 16 minutes waiting on a 1/2 order of queso, 3 tenders for a kids meal and 1 taco with 3 ingredients on it! ALL COLD! The waiter brought out two other Togo meals with mine...that came in AFTER me! I can't imagine they allowed my food to get cold to bring all three Togo orders out at one time! I've never had this experience at Torchys before, prayerfully the air fryer can heat these tenders up! My husband loves torchy's!! If there is one around we have to go, unfortunately there is not one near home in Longview Texas otherwise we would be there once a week. Midas are his favorite. But he only likes them in store because they are so big whereas if you get them to go they are small. I usually get the Baja shrimp. It's delicious but sometimes too much cilantro. You can always ask for them not to put it on. You can get beer and drinks here also. Their salsas are a little bit spicy for my taste, hence the name!! Enjoy it!! read more
