Our food took a long time. The good part: an interesting menu, and the food was quite good, worth the wait. I had the Ram Jam burger: a burger with cheese, bacon, and onion jam. Different and good. The fries were particularly nice. Go on a quieter night.

We visited this establishment on Saturday, September 21st on a return trip to my hometown…read more The bartender that was working that evening, although wearing a dress shirt and appearing to be a manager, was the most rude bartender that I have ever encountered in the time that I have been frequenting bars. He did not seem to care about any of the patrons, just about rushing them all out! I ordered two pitchers of Bud Light and my boyfriend ordered two "Red Bull" and vodkas which turned out to be made with an energy drink that is not even Red Bull. As the bar emptied out, the bartender never called last call and/or advised us that he was closing, he simply closed out our credit card and brought it over for us to sign. I was appalled when receiving the bill that each "Red Bull" and vodka was priced at $8.50! To charge that price when using generic energy drinks is outrageous!!! We never intend to return to this establishment and discourage you from making the same mistake that we did!

An energetic bartender got us menus and drinks, and our food was in front of us in less than 15 minutes despite the crowd. I would travel here just for the food: Enormous portions, cooked and plated well, and (New York perspective here) low prices. The crowd was drinking mostly bottled beer, although Blue Moon and Miller Lite among others are on tap. Here's how you can tell you're in a small town: I witnessed a patron pay his tab with cash, then go play video slot machines, leaving his wallet on the bar. The bartender tucked his change into his wallet. Pool tables and side game room available; live music once a week.

I had a footlong chili cheese dog and some popcorn shrimp, which were fried nicely. Our family also liked the spinach salad with bacon and fresh berries, the patty melt, the meatball hoagie, and the macaroni bites. The 5-scoop sampler of 5 "mini" scoops was VERY generous in portion size--definitely could be shared among 2+ people. As an avid ice cream afficianado, I was a little sad I couldn't finish it all by myself, but the flavors I chose were all excellent. The dog liked his Grizz sundae too. The staff were all very friendly and polite. The wait time for the food was reasonable, and our order was correct. At the moment, they are only serving food + ice cream during the weekdays, and closing is 8pm. On weekends they only serve ice cream. There is outdoor seating, and they also have a drive-through. We were the only ones there for dinner around 7:30, but we did see 3-4 cars using the drive-through while we were there. One thing that is pretty unique here, which I think might be a regional thing, is an ice cream flavor called Teaberry. It tastes a bit like one of those after-dinner soft pillow mints--very bizarre, but worth a taste!
