National cheeseburger day 9-18-2023
Gisele X.

The freshness and taste of the Wendy's brand is carrying this review and preventing a single star review. Today's service wasn't horrible either. Wasn't great, but I give a cushion for fast food service. Not an easy job. Today was national cheeseburger day. Free Jr. Bacon cheeseburger if you buy something. Or, $0.01 if you're gullible enough to install their app on your phone (nope). No line in store. Drive thru was empty when I arrived 5:15 on a Monday, and had just 2-4 cars when I left. Easy enough access parking lot with lots of parking at the lot next to it. But, I can't give my money to fast food joints any longer unless they have a decent coupon. The tomato slice, paper thin. Maybe 1/8" thick. Eff you, Wendy's. Lettuce, same thing, one sliver of a leaf. Cheese and beef patty, barely thicker than the tomato slice and about the same size. The bun? Dwarfed the contents. LOL! I'm fed up with greed and the bullcrap shrinkage of food items. I'm not patronizing another fast food joint like this. A normal size chicken sandwich combo should cost $6-9. Nope, $12+. I'm putting my foot down, fast food nation. Talk to the hand. It seems many others feel the same way. Otherwise, the restaurant and drive thru would be seeing more activity. Good luck!

Asiago Ranch Classic Chicken Club, Chili
Gina L.

Has its own parking lot. A line of five or six cars in the drive-thru after the lunch hour on a weekday. They currently have no lettuce, presumably due to the national shortage. I'm not sure why they gave me so many packets of hot chili seasoning unprompted but were so stingy with napkins. I asked for the Italian mozzarella chicken sandwich since they were promoting it on the menu, but they didn't have it yet. Why put it on the menu if you can't serve it yet? I ordered the classic chicken sandwich instead, but the staff must have input the wrong item because I was charged and given the Asiago ranch classic chicken sandwich. The chicken was dry. The one small, sad slice of tomato helped a little. The employee asked me if I wanted onions and cheese for my chili; I said no, but they still charged me and added in it anyways. The container felt hot, but the chili was lukewarm. There was a random loose saltine cracker in the bag. They have some good deals, like the biggie bag for $5 or the 4 for $4. The accuracy and quality of service isn't quite there though.

Unknown rubbery molded substance in coke.

Here I am almost a year later since I've last been here…read more I can say there is a huge improvement in the inventory and stock of ingredients. I was able to order the crispy pork banh mi this time. I did want to add in pate, but they were out of that. So I just got the sandwich the way it's made. It was toasted and the pork was really crispy. I enjoyed the sandwich. It comes with a side of sauce, which I poured into the sandwich. Customer service was good. Our order was taken quickly, but we waited about 15 minutes for 3 sandwiches. No one was here when we entered, but a few customers came in after we ordered. The restaurant is still the same. I think the fridge with drinks was added since I was least here since I don't remember that being there last time. There is still plenty of seating outdoors and a few tables inside. Overall, I would give it 4 and a half stars, bit still round up since I think there is still potential here. I will have to try their shakes again next time.

------------I want to clarify a few things, because your response doesn't reflect what I…read moreexperienced. Your employee did cough into her hand and continued preparing food without changing gloves. You weren't present, so unless you've reviewed camera footage, I don't appreciate being told I'm misrepresenting what happened. I have no reason to make something like that up, and it was concerning to witness. And I can promise I would not say that if I did not SEE that. She probably didn't realize she even did it. Separately, I understand that surfaces are cleaned regularly, but during the time I was waiting, I observed gloves being used to touch multiple surfaces (including the register and prep areas) and then used again to handle food without being changed. That's a basic food safety issue and, frankly, it was off-putting and it doesn't matter how often you clean your counters, it's gross. per CA retail food code, gloves need to be changed if other surfaces have been touched. Have you ever gone to a subway or other sandwich shop and seen the people take the order put gloves on, make the sandwich, then take the gloves off? that's the way it should be done if not staying at the prep station. I am not sure why I ever have to explain this to you on a review on Yelp. Also, regarding the order: when two of the three sandwiches were requested without jalapeños, it's not acceptable for the one that did include jalapeños to only have a single piece. I do not understand how you are trying to justify my review by even stating that two sandwiches didn't have them. and why does it matter which sandwich had the paper stuck to it? they were all soggy and cold which is why the paper was sticking to it. At this point, it's less about the initial experience and more about the response. It doesn't feel like the concerns were taken seriously, which makes it hard to feel confident giving your business another try, which I really wanted to do. That's disappointing, because I genuinely wanted to enjoy and support your restaurant. and if your business is slammed, perhaps the wait times on online ordering should be updated to reflect this.------------ I'm really disappointed to be writing this review. I had heard great things about this place from a friend who comes here often, and I was genuinely excited to try it--especially since I love bánh mì. Unfortunately, the experience fell short from the start. I live about 25 minutes away and ordered ahead, arriving a few minutes after my scheduled pickup time. I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my sandwiches, and then another 10 minutes for the pork spring rolls. What really prompted this 2-star review, though, was what I observed while waiting. The staff was working quickly, but I did not see anyone change their gloves during the entire time I was there. One employee handled the register, touched multiple surfaces, and continued preparing and wrapping food without changing gloves. Another employee repeatedly wiped her nose on her arm and even coughed into her hand before continuing to make sandwiches. It was honestly very off-putting and raised serious concerns about food safety. When I was handed my order, I was told the pork spring rolls weren't ready because they are made to order--which is understandable--but I was confused why they hadn't been started earlier since I had already placed and paid for my order. By the time I got home, the sandwiches were cold, soggy, and the paper had stuck to the bread. My partner said the flavor was okay, but noted there was barely any jalapeño, which was disappointing since that's a key part of a good bánh mì. I truly wanted to like this place, but between the hygiene concerns, wait times, and food quality, it was a frustrating experience. I hope management addresses these issues, especially around cleanliness and food handling, because that's something customers should never have to question.

I don't eat lamb, but luckily my husband ordered chicken so we switched plates. The chicken was delicious, but my favorite part was the sauce on the lettuce and cucumber. The gentleman working there (cashier, cook, one man band) was friendly, so that's always a plus. Now then, the food... I had just had a blood test, wanted red meat, and saw the sign from the road, so.....steak = iron, so why nor? I actually ordered the lamb cheesesteak, and was looking forward to it. First, this was a hot lamb sandwich, not a cheesesteak. The meat was in cube form, and possibly frizen...a weird meat non-chresesteak texture. Second, while tzatziki sauce was garlicky and good, the meat itself had NO flavor. No seasoning whatsoever. Even the cheese was somewhat flavorless. Once the tzatziki was swallowed, a big ball of flavorless meat gunk was in the mouth. The sandwich, a small fries (decent), and a can of soda was $18. Definitely not a cheesesteak, and definitely not worth it

Disappointing Customer Service Experience at Howe location on Friday, February 13, 2026…read more Dear Habit Burger & Grill Team, I recently visited your Howe ave locationwith my family for dinner on Friday, February 13, and I was disappointed by the decline in customer service compared to past experiences at this location. While I understand kiosks are now common, I strongly prefer interacting with a real person when ordering, especially for a sit-down meal. Navigating the kiosk feels slower and less personal for me. When we approached the front counter, the gentleman with frosted-tip hair (who identified himself as the manager) immediately told us he couldn't take our order because it was too busy. He directed us to use the kiosk, stating it would be faster and that counter ordering would take about 30 minutes. There was no greeting, no "thank you for coming in," or any standard hospitality--just a blunt redirection. A short time later, another customer approached the counter and was allowed to place their order directly with the same manager--no kiosk suggestion. That customer's food arrived before ours, which left us confused and feeling unfairly treated. This experience was frustrating and inconsistent with the welcoming, guest-focused service I remember from The Habit. I miss the days when employees greeted customers, took orders personally, and made the visit enjoyable. If this is the new standard--especially for those who prefer counter ordering--I'm likely to take my business elsewhere. I'd appreciate any insight into your current policies on kiosk vs. counter ordering and hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, JT.
