On May 1, 2025, at 7:00-ish pm, I stopped by Wendy's in Ooltewah, TN. This was my first visit at that location - and my last. I usually go to one in Cleveland, TN, without complaints. I ordered a large order of chili. Such a disappointment! When I arrived home 20 minutes later, I discovered the chili was diluted down to a sloppy, watery mess and had the smell and taste of an additive. Ii was not edible and I threw it away. I'm so upset with Wendy's today. The one at 6009 Ooltewah Georgetown Rd. Ooltewah, TN 37363. I typically have a decent experience every Sunday when I get breakfast. But today, I had a mobile order and these people didn't answer the speaker even after knocking on the window. I knew someone was there because I saw the cars. I pass by and see people in the lobby and I stopped, then got out to knock. Why these people try to HIDE. I'm like sir I can see you, you're not doing a good job of hiding. I knock on the door a few more times because I could see him. He opens it finally and says I'm on break. I said well is the other lady on break too, the one that's hiding in the seat, I said ma'am I can see part of your head so stop trying to hide. I then ask to speak to a manager and the guy said well I don't know where she is and I said I'll wait. And I said what is her name, he said I think Ethan I don't know. I walk closer to him and said how don't you know, and guess who I see on the opposite side of the table hiding. The MANAGER. I said are you guys serious?! If you don't want to work then don't come. She got up and said I'm F***ing tired, I've been here for years..... (I didn't understand the rest because she was walking away). I said this is absolutely ridiculous and I asked why would you all do that. They didn't answer and I said I'm reporting you guys. The guy at the counter is very friendly and down to earth. And food comes out quick and delicious

Ordered hamburger, no cheese or mayo with nuggets and fries. Hamburger was 3 very small squares of overcooked meat spread out on the bun with condiments. I removed 2 of the squares, took about 3 or 4 bites and threw the rest away. Grandson ordered nuggets because he had dental work and their nuggets are soft enough to eat. He said they were okay. I was so excited to try the new krabby patty burger meal but it was such a disappointment. The cashier was very nice, but for some reason, my burger was always wrong. I asked to not have onions, and then I didn't get any vegetables. They were very understaffed. The area was not clean. Nothing was prepared and they took ages to remake the order. This location really needs more employees that are adult adults. The fries were cold, and the second time they made my order, although it was hot and fresh, still didn't have tomatoes. Online this Wendy's is listed as 11pm close The door says 10pm Well I got in the drive through at 8:50pm and was told they were closed. I'm seeing why the other two Wendy's near me closed. They are run horribly. Even during the day when they are actually open the service is rude and my orders are never accurate. I'd rate 0 stars if possible. read more

Well , pretty good food at a value, but they need few things done. One such thing as to get a refill you have to your cup and give to someone behind the counter. To do this, you almost feel like your breaking in line. They need to put the drink machines out in the dining area on a self serve island like all the rest of the fast food restaurants Anyway, I got chili because it was cold outside and it was very good. I've been going to the wendys in ooltewah for a very...very long time, I even worked there over 20 years ago (ouch I feel old) but for the past 6 months the food and service has been horrible. There is NOTHING fresh about their salads first of all. You shouldn't advertise that they are made fresh if it's so obvious that they are not! Stopped here a little after 12:00pm to grab some food for our road-trip. Got to the window and placed my order. We waited about 15 minutes in the drive thru. I never even got to the window to pay, I just left and went somewhere else. I don't know what the deal was inside, but there should have been someone to warn people about the wait if there was an issue. I've grown to really like the hot honey chick sandwich. So much so, that I drove to this area to get it. Went thru drive-thru and received a spicy chick and which with raw onions and fried pickles. So I knew it was going to be bad when I had to repeat the order 3 times. I wasn't disappointed. It started with the drive thru person taking the orders. I don't know what the issue was, but it was clear why the line was moving so slowly. Took repeating the order three times to finally get past that hurdle. Only to be given the wrong drinks. I've been there 3 times within this past week. With two of those times being the same day. After waiting in line each time and finally approaching the drive thru intercom they same employee says "unfortunately our computer system is down and I had to reboot it. It will take 10-15 min for it to reset. So I cannot take any food orders". I mean really?? Twice one day and 3 times in a week it's the same issue. With the 3rd time being a couple days before. Either they need to update their system or get some people in there that actually wanna serve food. I'll no longer waste my time going to this Wendy's!! Today, as has been the case 75% of the time, their "system" was down and they couldn't take orders. Other times they say they can take "cash only" orders because their "system" is down. What a joke! It has to be poor management, an out of town owner, or both. The place has a great location and was recently remodeled, but they can't seem to pay to have a reliable "system" to take orders! I am surprised that this Wendy's is out of date. The whole place was very disappointing, from the dining room to the restroom. No other customers were in the building, and we had to wait 5 minutes for someone to place our order. When we were sitting down, the lobby carpet and the booth was very dirty. Two months ago we pulled in the drive through at 5:30 with a long line. After an extremely long wait, several cars left the line and when we finally got to the order mic the staff told us the register was down. So, okay, things happen. Today, at 6:45 PM, we tried this location again. Shorter line but still a wait. Finally got to mic but no greeting. Asked if they were open and told they'd be with me in a bit. I really don't know how any chain food restaurant can be so bad I was 3rd in line at the drive thru and it took almost 20 min for me to get to the speaker and I know it wasn't because the two people in front had big orders they were waiting a long time to order as well. When I finally got to the speaker I had to wait about 3 min before someone said anything and the dude said the computer was frozen and it would take maybe 5-10 minutes but he didn't know and that was it. Didn't even apologize. I don't understand why people take jobs like this when it's clear they don't even want to be there. Ordered a salad and what I got was a half cut piece of chicken on a pile of lettuce and no other toppings what so ever. I tried calling and the mailbox was full got though on 5th try. This place is horrible! The outside is in need of trimming bushes and mowing the grass during mowing season. The building is run down and needs to be updated. Ok I've eaten here quite a few times before writing my review. I'm going to share my experience today, and this is about the experience I have ever 4th time I visit. I used the drive thru today. Had a couple cars ahead of me. I ordered and pulled around. Then I sat for a good 10 minutes waiting on the cars ahead of me. Once I got to the window I waited a couple minutes for the guy to open the window. He tells me what I owe and I ask if they have Apple Pay. He responds, "what?" To which I hold up my phone and do a show and tell of "Apple Pay". He goes "What is that?". Then he tells me he will go get his manager. I have to yell through the closed window to not get the manager and just hand him a card. He hands me a soda and then is confirming that I ordered a water and starts to hand me a tap water! I have to correct him that I ordered the combo with the bottle water. He then proceeds to say they don't have bottled water yada yada yada. Finally someone hands this guy a bottle of water. And finally after being at the window for 10 minutes he doesn't know what bag is mine! Again not every experience is like this but enough to be annoying. read more

The server had bathroom cleaner on the counter next to the trays. We ended up leaving our food uneaten. The manager had since refunded our money and I do think that it is a training issue. But even if there is bleach in the bottle, use a different bottle to clean the trays with please. On the other hand at least they are cleaning them! read more

Very slow, bad service, food is rarely correct. This was my last visit to this location and I didn't even get anything this time. I wasn't able to! The line outside was wrapped around the building so I went inside to an empty dining room but a full line. I gave them half of my lunch hour and the line didn't move at all, nor were the employees doing much to expedite things. Worst Service Ever!!!!!!! So we pulled up to the drive up to place our order. I order the spicy guacamole chicken club. The lady on the other end says they do not have guacamole would we like something else. So I just order a burger and small fries and my BF orders a combo meal. We get our food and pull off to the parking lot to eat. So automatically I reach for a french frie. Ugh!!!!! it was so Salty greasy and old. I look in the bag and its just old soggy brown french fries smothered in salt. I mean I couldn't even wipe off the salt to eat any. You could also see from the color and smell that these fries were old or cooked in really old oil. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but there was no way of eating these fries they were inedible. They should of just sold salt and asked if we wanted a little potato and grease to go with our salt. So we went back through the drive up to return the fries. The same girl came to the window and when we explained that the fries were just too salty and we wanted to return for a refund, she gave us a puzzled look and said I'll be right back. So she goes in and talks to what seemed like her supervisor or lead and another employee and all look into the bag. The other employee comes to the window with his supervisor or whomever next to him. So he says would we like new fries and we reply no thanks we just want a refund for the fries, he looks over his shoulder than back at us and says I can only give you a refund on the small fries because the other fries were part of a combo meal and we cant do anything about that. So we replied Seriously? and he replies in the most nasty attitude, we'll if you want to come over here and try to figure it out be my guest cause I don't know how too. Seriously?????? I just said fine if that's all you can do that's fine. This place has the worst Service, I have ever been too in my life. It wouldn't have been so bad if his supervisor wasn't just standing there next to him doing nothing to help remedy the situation. Horrible!!!!!!!
