We went today at approximately 1:55 pm upon entering there was 4 people in line in front of us the gentleman in front of us said he had been standing there 10 minutes and the 2 people in the very front said they were standing there approximately 15 minutes all said no one even acknowledged them. There was 1 guy cleaning the lobby We watched for the better part of 5 minutes 3 people behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. We left keep in mind they were to busy doing nothing couldn't even acknowledge us. Upon leaving my wife said the drive in must be busy. We walked to our car seeing no one in the drive thru. Pulling out we seen another guy hiding where the dumpster is behind the gates. I have went to this Wendy's a couple times diff times of day and night and only one or twice has my order been correct. I am usually closer to Bristol and go to the Wendy's there which almost never disappoints. This Wendy's has messed up my super simple order multiple times to the point where I would rather just go and make it myself because it's not hard at all to work a fryer and read tickets and make sure your putting the correct thing on and in the order from the ticket, as someone with food experience for over 15 years unless it's you're first week on the job there is 0 excuse for getting orders so wrong multiple times. Ordered a number 8 medium spicy with bottled water and 2 4 piece tenders. Got home to realize I was given a non spicy chicken sandwich and 2 2 piece tenders yet charged for 8 tenders as I ordered yet given like 6 ranches. It wasn't even busy when I went literally 2 cars already ordered and went pretty fast. Maybe because they didnt follow the correct orders for them too. Either way. It is just ignorant people who can't read a ticket and make sure the orders right. It's fast food it is not that hard read more

I have always been ordering through drive-though at this local Wendy's Store. Today, I actually tried to for a eat-in at the store. The moment I walked in confusingly looking at the menu bar, because I was still not so sure about what to order. My intention is just to hang around and randomly eat something at this place, because of my previous good experience. The black lady there standing at counter had been uncomfortable while I was confusingly looking at the menu bar behind the counter. Seeing her getting impatient, I started hurriedly proceeding to choose a random options. She kept an ongoing attitude toward the entire ordering process. She aggressively and smirkingly asked for my name. I feel a total disrespect, especially to a customer who has good intentions and just wants to support. I noticed she slightly changed her attitude while taking orders from upcoming customers. That has left remarkable unwelcoming experience here. Your business should be thriving excellently without those kind of service attitudes. read more

Wendys in Norwich has the finest, most cordial and considerate staff, some of whom have been working diligently there for years and always provide excellent service, quality food and kindness. Recently, Wendys has not had hot coffee and discontinued iced tea, both beverages being major enhancements to the overall dining experience. Also, sugar packages, knives, forks etc. are no longer available to diners in the lobby, meaning counter staff have to take time to provide them at request. This is by far the best Wendys in CT and RI, and its because of the staff. Some modernization and equipment repair/replacement (such as the coffee machine and iced tea urn) are needed, and iced tea used to be served with a lemon slice. I understand that portions are getting smaller and prices higher because we're in a recession and the economy is tanking because of Trump and 40 years of irresponsible capitalism. But Wendys, in the spirit of Dave Thomas, is not McD's. It has always prepared and sold food to a higher standard. If ownership and corporate CEOs could accept a little less profit to provide the finer things and little touches that Wendys used to have and can again, I'd be thrilled. When open, as a senior, I go there every day for at least a coffee or (when available) iced tea and if in the AM buy some sausage biscuits or sale item in the evening. My financial contribution is small, but my loyalty to the staff and Dave Thomas' vision is enormous. Please get the restaurant reopened soon! read more

I ordered the double cheese meal and found the burgers to be overcooked to the point of a hockey puck. The buns were so cold that they literally broke apart when I picked up the burger. We have been going to this Wendy's for years. Unfortunately , the cashier had a little trouble with our order and a coupon on our mobile phone. He was very nice , but the manager needed to be called to straighten it out. She was very nasty to both my husband and the cashier. I just stopped for lunch and was pleased to see that the tables had been divided to provide social distancing. There were also plexiglass sheets in front of the register, which was also great. What I was disappointed to see was that the people who were actually making the food and scooping the fries were not wearing their masks correctly. Burgers were ice cold..like they didn't take much care in putting the sandwiches together. fries were under cooked..this is the second time we have gotten cold under cooked food but we wanted to give it another try..we won't be going back. But as usual their service sucks, this was the first time I'd gone in a while cause they are horrible at this location and the queen that works window always harasses me cause he sucks at his job, but I decided to try again cause Wendy's is my fav fast food place. I visited the West Main Street, Norwich, CT location today. The restaurant line was about 8 deep, and it took a very long time (20 minutes) to reach the ordering register. Only one register was open, and there was clearly one employee doing NOTHING but standing around and pushing completed-order trays to customers. I reiterate, she was doing NOTHING!!! It was nearly infuriating given the time I waited in line. I ordered the summer berry salad, and the amount of chicken and berries were extremely minimal - totally not worth the seven dollars.
