I pulled up to Wendy's at 6:45pm to eat before 7, the worst single I've ever had. Bread hard, lettuce hard. The tea was brown sugar water. I threw it out. I decided to call the Mgr on duty 5/7 his name was Tor or something like that. The absolute worst, no customer service skills at all. No sorry, we will do better, nothing and the phone hung up. My coworker and I decided to venture out into the cold and visit the newly built Wendy's. We went through the drive through and received good customer service, but I wasn't so pleased with the presentation. One meal was a medium and one was a small. They gave us two small sized cups. They gave us the correct size of fries. One medium and one small, but the medium size wasn't even full. We had to request that it be filled appropriately. Lastly, the burger. I appreciated that it wasn't super greasy and not pink on the inside. My only wish is that my sandwich had more than a thin strip of lettuce that kind of threw of my sandwich's tasty balance. An adequate amount of lettuce would have made it prettier, but would have also added some crispiness to the bite and a better taste. Overall it was good and I was so hungry, but presentation is still very important, even for fast food restaurants. read more

Lined up at the drive thru. At least 10 cars deep. Gave up and went inside. Stood at the counter for at least 10 minutes while being totally ignored. By The time I gave up again walked out four people were in line behind me. We all walked out and left without ever getting waited on. The service is unbelievably pathetic. One poor guy at the drive through window was doing his best. No one came to help the inside customers. If I could give the drive through guy 5 stars I would. No zero star option? This is quite possibly the worst fast food restaurant in the Mechanicsville area. The folks that work there are generally fine. The restaurant is constantly out of various items. They are also perpetually short staffed. Their equipment seems to be broken a lot too. I cannot recommend skipping this place enough. it's just bad. read more

Wow, where to begin. Have ordered several times over a few months and I keep hoping it's going to be better. I'm amazed how it gets worse with every visit. First, the employees. Where do they find these neanderlithic people? Go to the drive thru and you get an annoyed "what do you want"? Orders are routinely incorrect even when done thru the app! Obviously reading comprehension of the staff is limited at best. No sign of management in the restaurant except for a 20 something shift manager and I use the term "manager" in its loosest terms. Their French fries are abysmal. Always cold even if you order them fresh at the drive thru. How can they consistently be cold? The burgers are dry, the buns are stale and haphazardly put together. My Baconator didn't have bacon, it had crumbled, burnt bacon bits on it! The only thing I've ever ordered that was consistently good is the ghost pepper chicken sandwich. Whomever owns this location obviously does not care about the customer. Won't be going back. I'd rather spend $40 at 5 guys than $20 at this Wendy's. read more

We wanted to grab a quick bite. There was one person ahead of us who had already ordered and was waiting on his food. There were a few employees in the kitchen, one in drivethru and one upfront. The poor lady up front didn't seem to know what to do. She couldn't figure how to ring up the guy ahead of us. She would walk back grab a sandwich, then walk back and get something else. It was painful to watch. Then a door dasher came in and walked right up front saying there was supposed to be an order ready for him. She froze like a deer in headlights. This Wendy's is consistently sub-par. The wait times are excessive and the staff is generally flippant and sloppy. I heard them laughing at a customer and then they handed me the wrong order. When they finally corrected it, they gave me a burger with the catchup on mustard on top of the bun in a heaping mess. The four times I gave them a chance, they completely failed. Location is key, the atmosphere at this Wendy's is AMAZING!! It's a new building and so cozy and beautiful. Staff friendly, food hot, very new and clean. Young crew members but very hard working and nice. Manager present and running the shift. It was great! This is complete opposite of my experiences at the Mechanicsville Turnpike location. Worth the few extra miles to travel to this location. read more

Rating this pretty low due to several bad experiences. Every time I come through drive through, they make me pull up to front while they prep my food. Each time, at least 4 people behind me drive through with their food. Also, I always have to triple check my order because things are always missing. It is such an inconvenience. My sister is always telling me how good her Wendy's in Ohio is for breakfast, so I thought I'd give the Rutland location a try. Huge mistake! The person had trouble taking my order: an egg biscuit, an egg croissant, seasoned potatoes, orange juice. The person who gave me my order was rude and unintelligible. No thank you or any other civility. Also, the pick-up window was disgustingly filthy. When I got home, there were no potatoes and the eggs in both sandwiches were undercooked and runny. My dog wouldn't even eat them. The only thing I could salvage was the orange juice, and that's because it was in a Simply Orange bottle. Worst breakfast experience I've ever had. If this is the state of customer service in this country, I seriously worry about our future. read more

Just had the greatest experience.. lady at the cash register was so sweet and caring I had to wait a few minutes for my fries and nuggets to get done but she was so sweet and gave me a free frosty . And the lady helping bag up the food was equally as nice .. we are traveling through and glad we stopped. Thanks for the great experience! read more

I have to start by saying that this location is new and near our home, so on a hot day like today (92 degrees) we will pick up Frosty's. They were running a promotion of buy one chicken sandwich and get one free, so we picked up two. We ordered both plain with nothing on them for my girls, who only eat the plain chicken. The first chicken sandwich was good, but the second sand which had a chicken piece that was cut in half. I thought that was weird and upon further investigating, one side was hard as a rock and brown and the other half was perfectly cooked and soft? I don't understand why they thought putting a piece of hard old fried chicken would be OK to serve. Thank goodness my girls do not eat the buns! I had to thrown the entire thing away since I did not feel comfortable letting them eat the 1/2 that was not a hockey puck. We have gone through the drive thru several times and had issues a few times, with burgers because my kids don't like anything but ketchup on then. This happened this past weekend and the manager replaced the burgers, that I completely understand because accidents happen.....placing 1/2 a piece of cold chicken on a sandwich is intentional. If you happen to be in the area and decide to order some food here just make sure and double check it, especially if you order a chicken sandwich. read more
