This is Soup ..not Chili

For a hometown Burger shop its great - Except lately (I mean all spring and now into June). I usually switch the fries for Chili. Well today's chili was soup. The last 6 times the chili has had nearly no (I mean NONE) meat at all. C'mon ya'll. The drive up service is stellar and quick. Reliably quick. So until I see things that replicate the menu I'm hitting the low star . sorry..... I'll post a pic of the chili soup.

People were nice, food was OK but floor was super sticky! Do a mobile order and pick up in the drive thru so you don't have to walk inside.

Went there at 7:30 and it looked like they were closing the kitchen already. Food was old.

I ordered a crispy chicken BLT. What I received was chicken plus a single limp piece of lettuce. Cashier did not give me a sales receipt.

Long lines that move like the dmv. Go inside and the entire place is waffle-house cruddy.

This is an adorable place off the highway. Reasonably priced food and coffee with plenty of areas…read moreto grab a seat. I will say if you're in a rush to grab a cup of coffee and go, this probably isn't the place to go to. I was here around 945 on a Wednesday and they were slammed. It only took about 20 minutes to get my to go order and latte, which was worth the wait. Will come back and dine in the next time I'm in the area.

While passing through Ephrata we searched Yelp for dinner ideas. The strong reviews of Stonehouse…read moreCafe got our attention. It's definitely a cute place - smallish, but with lots of character and good food. They have a no nonsense espresso machine and they made me an upside-down dry cappuccino without any hesitation. If I lived in Ephrata I could see this becoming my main go-to for my cappuccinos. Service was friendly but a little slow. It could be our timing was bad, and to their credit the cook warned us that our order (we split one burger) would take 30 or more minutes. That seemed excessive to us but who knows, maybe they just received 10 DoorDash orders right before we arrived. Times like this really separate the good from the great restaurants. Great service would have been to not only apologize, but to also offer us a free espresso drink or an appetizer or a dessert to hold us over. Instead we had to ask for water two or three times. Over all, our experience was enjoyable, but they should consider hiring one or two more crew members.

I'm so torn in the writing of this review, because I love or loved the Olde Lincoln House (OLH)…read morerestaurant, but this particular meal on Valentine's Day, was sad, disappointing and unforgivable. Even though I made a reservation, the parking (both lots), completely full and in semi-empty spaces, held heaps of snow. We partially parked on the side, of a heaping pile and my husband had to scoot his butt, past the steering wheel, to get out of the car. Why am I harping on the car parking situation? Because, if this restaurant choose to stick to those who had reservations, only; I feel there would have been ample parking available. I would have preferred to sit downstairs, dimmed lighting, wooden beams and overall, cozier feel. Yeah, I should have spoken up as to where I would have preferred to sit, but now I'm feeling slighted, by the lack of courtesy shown towards someone, who had the foresight to make a reservation in advance. Upstairs we went - bright lights, white table cloths, nothing cozy or hinting of Valentine's Day. That's okay, I'm thinking; the food will be good. A crock of onion soup, as a starter - perfect, actually, not too salty, caramelized onions, bubbly broiled cheese, savory onion broth, no complaints here. Medium-well prime rib, served raw, with a butter knife, no accompanied horseradish and over-cooked potato slices, undercooked zucchini. I sent it back to the kitchen. The same steak came back to me (not a new one), thirty minutes later, with the proper steak knife and horseradish. My husband's entree of five smallish scallops - decorated by halved, charred brussel sprouts on either side, looked more like an appetizer. This meal burned a huge, unimpressive hole in our wallet.
