Just picked up a Large lemonade but was given a medium by an employee .Asked the employee was this a large and she replied yes,but the lemonade in question was not a large. Situation was rectified by Sarah who corrected the employee concerning the size.Although Sarah was nice and professional and corrected the mistake;the employee who was corrected by Sarah had a bad attitude after she had to give me a large lemonade that I had previously purchased. Some of the employees don't realize that if it wasn't for customers spending money;they wouldn't have a job. Also,these employees must realize that just because a customer comes in to purchase an item,doesn't necessarily mean the customer is just a customer.That customer may in fact be someone closely associated with said company.The moral of the story is to be kind and respectful and courteous and that goes both ways . read more

As a super Yelper, I try to be very deferential in any negative reviews I choose to provide. I understand that bad days happen and bad experiences don't always define the overall customer experience. However, this review leaves me totally baffled. My first question is how. My second is why. How did anyone think they had remotely accomplished customer service during this experience? Why was my food treated like this? Was it me or is this the normal level of gross negligence this restaurant operates with? Given the reviews I have seen further down this feed, it appears to be a chronic issue. My experience borders on bizarre. It started in the drive through. I pulled up and half the menu was missing on the order board. A clerk came on and greeted me, "Welcome to McDonalds". I started to talk and a second clerk greeted me, "Welcome to McDonalds can I have your order?" I started to talk again and one of the two clerks began a short argument with the other regarding who was going to take my order. What sounded like an older woman yielded to what sounded like a kid. I just stopped talking and chuckled. This was a first. I mean, it's been a long time since two women fought over me. Once asked to continue, I said, "Do you still have a two cheeseburger meal?" The clerk said, "Yes, number 7." To which I said, "Okay, I don't see it on the order board" Instead of helping me find it, the clerk said, "It's right there!" I assure you...it wasn't!" So I pulled around and paid. The lady who took my payment was a gem. She was the first lady who had attempted to talk to me. She was very nice and helpful. Then I pulled up to the delivery window and the bizarre was just beginning. As I pulled up I leaned toward the passengers side to put my debit card in my wallet that was laying on my center console. The clerk handed my Coke out the window and I guess because I wasn't looking right at her and giving her my undivided attention, she literally yelled at me, "Coke!" She startled me she yelled so loudly. I took my Coke as she told me to pull up and wait for my order. I asked her if she could put some salt in my bag when it came out. She said she would and I pulled up to await my order curbside. My order arrived and I opened the bag. I saw one cheeseburger laying, unwrapped in the bottom of my bag. The other was only partially wrapped. I took the burgers out and immediately took pictures of them. I reached for the fries and found them half full. Literally, they were half full. The fries were warm, not hot, and definitely not fresh. I took pictures of them too. The pics are all included here. Remember that I had asked for salt with my order? That's alright, they didn't either. No salt. I've eaten here before and had minor issues, but this visit was one for a review. I'm sorry to say, I would not recommend this business to anyone. I did file a complaint with McDonalds. To date, I have had no return response from management. This was a terrible dining experience. read more

The men's room urinal has leaked what seems like forever. The floor is always wet underneath and extremely sticky. One walks out into the restaurant with wet sticky feet. This is so unsanitary. When I brought it up to the shift manager she says we've always had trouble with that urinal and the floor gets cleaned every morning! What???? I suggested hourly and that's not great because it's leaking and needs repaired or replaced. One of the worst McDonald's I've stopped at. I went inside to order carry out because I wanted to use their restroom. First, the restroom was disgusting. The trash was overflowing with nasty used items, smell of iron everywhere, and red fluid on the wall. Then, I went out and ordered my food on the kiosk. I waited 20 minutes for my order to be called. It's not super long, but it's long for "fast food". I stayed because I knew the drive thru line was long and I was starving. My food came. I waited for my drink which never came and when asked for I waited another ten minutes. After that, I left. My bag was completely cold. My fries were half filled. Its a hit or miss with them, one day the sandwich looks and feels like a wrung out sink sponge, another time everything is fresh. All the restaurants in the chain are like that. A testament to the utter failure of the human species, because of our willingness to eat such low quality food in exchange for limiting our time, when you still end up sitting in a drive through line for half an hour, and the disorganized barely professional staff mix up your order anyway, or forget to give you something important, and you have to go back, and get the rest of what you ordered. Unfortunately, even I am guilty of liking this restaurant, due to how incredibly addicting the sugary food is here. Stopping at a McDonalds is a bag of mixed feelings for me, as part of me is happy that I will get to eat good tasting, yet incredibly rancid food, and another part wonders how long I must wait and contemplate my mere existence. read more

Ordered out in the parking lot from the App. I waited 3-4 minutes , came inside to pick up. There were several people who already ordered and online ordering. 2 Hot cakes and sausage were sitting on top rack of the warmer, about 5 minutes go by cook puts out another hot cakes and sausage the drive through grabbed it and put in a bag , then grabbed one of the ones sitting already for 5 minutes. About 3 minutes later the person running the front grabs the remaining one , goes to the side by the fries and reheats the sausage , then puts it on a tray and gives it to me. Sausage was hot, pancakes were about room temperature and the butter didn't melt. This place needs new management. Lots of other people waiting long times on their food also. They are both horrible I stopped for lunch yesterday at the one on E Main St I ordered a #9 the 2 cheese burgers did not have mustard or ketchup I did manage to get a pickle and the bun was two top buns now does that mean someone received a burger with two bottom buns? The edges of the hamburger were well over cooked crispy and very dry I also ordered a 20 piece Nugget they were good and hot they seemed to be fresh my last few times to these 2 Ephrata locations have been bad... food quality is horrible I guess I will have to give Burger King a try read more

Give these guys a chance. I feel sorry for them. The staff really seem to be doing the best they can. There were mistakes all over the place: they run out of items, were behind on trash pickup, and you better check your food to see you got everything. But everyone there was just trying so hard, and being so kind and humble to the customers. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and tasted like overcooked rubber. I usually order these from different McDonald's and they are typically very good. This location has found the way to screw it up. I asked to substitute a salad for the fries and the cashier said they don't do this...I pointed at the sign above her that clearly noted they do, and she just stared at me...no response. Also had to return the balsamic dressing package because it had leaked in the plastic bag with utensils and paper towels. Salad tomatoes looked like an 85 year old woman. I have a relative that works the cook station and he does a great job when he's on shift. Maybe it's because he's the only one that cares. I placed an order using the kiosk inside. The drive thru was relatively busy for how late in the evening it was, so I expected to wait a few minutes for my McFlurry. After a full 5 minutes pass, a girl came to the front, ordered a smoothie, GOT her smoothie, and left. I went last evening to this McDonald's as it's close to my house and the service was slow before but this was the absolute worst experience all around. I was told to go to pick up 1 to pay for my order and at the time only one car was in front of me. So I'm waiting for over 5 min at pick up 1 while the girl inside was looking at me so I called the store so I didn't back up traffic and the girl opened the window and said I would have to go back around since I went to the wrong window. I looked at her in shock and said "seriously?" As I knew she was perfectly capable of taking my money at the window she was at and was just being unreasonable. So I pulled around and got stuck in a mess of cars that arrived when I was waiting most likely. So after 20 min I finally was able to pay for my food at the so-called "correct" window and as I was waiting the same girl was talking about me amongst her co-workers saying how frustrated I was and was laughing at me while I was sitting right there and heard everything. Apparently her common sense is lacking. So then she rolled down the window again and said I would need to pull to the drive thru pick up as my order wasn't ready. By this time I was fuming mad and when the worker came out to give me my order eventually I told him I would like to speak with a manager. He said I would need a mask to go inside. I said I worked in healthcare but at that point I lost interest and wanted to get home. I called the customer service line and complained and then received a call from the manger apologizing which I appreciated but in all honestly my order should have been free after that and since I'm a healthcare worker especially due to thank you meals now being available. Our cashier could not figure out how to place an order for a #9 (2 cheeseburger meal) and said she would just add each item individually then at the end said she figured out how to add the #9 but apparently did not fix the order to reflect what we had actually ordered. When she brought our food out we told her that we were missing a burger and she told us we would have to pay for it. I told her we would not be paying for it since we ordered a #9 and she should have fixed the order once she realized how to add the combo. During the entire interaction she was swearing and when she came back with our second burger, told me that she had to fight with someone to get the second burger and that she was probably going to get fired now. My husband & I just stopped for a quick snack on a hot day. Place was very dirty inside. Tables not wiped down, floor dirty, condiment area disgusting... my husband's milkshake was brought out to our table (which I wiped down w/napkin!) and the guy tipped over the milkshake and it spilled on the floor right next to our booth.
