Although the building is old, it is well kept and the inside dining room was very clean. The service was prompt, fast and friendly. I ordered the 8 Piece Crispy Crunchy Shrimp & 2 Piece Fish (batter dipped filets) Meal served with hushpuppies, fires, and coleslaw. The portions are very generous, everything was hot, and cooked fresh. The white fish was very good, perfectly cooked, fried to a light crispy golden brown, with a tender, flaky inside texture. The batter did not overpower the flavor of the fish. The coleslaw was ok and paired well with the fish. The shrimps, which are also served with sweet and sour sauce for dipping, were mostly breading, bland, had no seasoning and lacked flavor, but it was what I was expecting from a chain restaurant serving previously frozen pre breaded (not fresh) and fried crispy shrimp.
