Today I chose to have chicken tenders, cheese cubes and a strawberry shake. The chicken tenders were all white meat seasoned and breaded. They came in a order of four. I had never heard of cheese cubes so I had to try. They are not cheese curds. These gems were cheddar cubes seasoned and fried goodness. I would definitely order those again. Lastly the cool strawberry shake was a perfect sweet ending to my lunch time meal.

I walked in pissed off, burnt out, ready to eat my feelings, and then bam--in comes this blond-ish-haired, goatee-rocking legend behind the counter. He didn't just take my order--he curated my f*ing voyage through the menu. Explained everything, like some kind of deep-fried sommelier. And then--get this--he brought the food to my damn table. In a fast food joint. Who even does that? The fish was crispy perfection, the hushpuppies were little orbs of joy, and my black, crumbling heart was temporarily mended. I've never tipped at fast food before, but this guy? This GOAT? I gave him a tenner like it was church and he was passing the plate. Seeing all the choices in Cambridge City, I went to Connersville. I haven't been to a Quiznos since they closed the store in Richmond. Unlike Florida, there aren't many in Indiana or Ohio. This one was in a Shell station and convenience store where a Noble Roman's used to be, not unlike the Quiznos in Richmond. The staff were friendly and helpful, and wanted to do the best. They even asked multiple times if the food was good. I had a Classic Italian on Rosemary bread. I don't usually try different breads since I'm not in love with bread already. I'm sure it would be good for someone else but it brought back a memory of some rosemary-infused potato chips combination. I also got a small bowl (the small is more than a few spoonfuls but not much) of the broccoli cheese soup, which is good. I've had several recent experiences with Subway and I still find the meats and cheeses at Quiznos to be better but Subway has closed the gap quite a lot. The overall experience was so much better, even in a convenience store atmosphere. Tables could use more attention but there were several available and that's a plus.
