At the speaker, I let the lady know my name and that it was a mobile order. At the window, my order was handed over and a receipt. Easy. Nuggets were warm though not hot. What a joke this place is . If your a food delivery driver they make it difficult to the max to pickup. They have all the doors locked which is violation of fire code while being open to start with. The line was wrapped around the building but no one at the drive thru window . I've visited this Wendy's on Sardis multoe Gomes over the years but here recently I visited 2 weeks ago and last night. The line is always long but the staff works quickly to get the line down. I always order a #1 Dave's Single Combo and a sugar cookie. (Don't judge me) I recall asking the cashier her name on my last visit because she was so pleasant & down to earth. I had to circle back last night because someone forgot to include my darling sugar cookie and "Panzee" was at the window she was super apologetic and professional. Overall the staff at this Wendy's are always welcoming and professional. I definitely will bypass other Wendy's to come to this one because of Panzee & her team. read more

I usually use the drive thru. Service is fast and I usually get all hat I ordered. A couple of times they did not give me a straw for my beverage. It's difficult going 40-45 mph on independence without a straw for the drink. When I eat inside it's a clean room and the napkins, ketchup, others are kept full. Love the specials and usually get burgers . Wendy's chili is my favorite. The drive thru workers could act a bit friendlier versus just asking for your money and handing over the bag of food. read more

Just go to the Wendy's off of independence. It seems there will always be something wrong at this location off of Sardis. I come to this location drive around the store and see the staff members Lolly gagging in the dining room. Pull up to the speaker and their systems are shut down to where they are not receiving any type of order not even online. This is 3 hours before they close. This is the last straw for me. I always have to go to another restaurant when it comes to to them so at this point it's just best to go to another Restraunt. Most restaurants use the "our systems are shut down" excuse when they are close to closing at 4 in the morning. 11 is just too early for a system to shut down on a regular night.. any other time I'm having to deal with cold food, a wrong order or the heavy set female who takes orders in drive through as if she hates her job and her life. The girl taking my order was extremely rude and incompetent. When I drove up to the window, she didn't even greet me. She took my card and never said a word to me. When I got my food my order was incorrect, cold, and did not taste fresh at all. The people working that night were continuously chatting with each other and fooling around. I've never witnessed so many lazy "workers" in my life. Please never pay these people $15 an hour because they definitely have zero work ethic and lack customer service skills. I like Wendy's. Of all the fast food joints Wendy's is one of my choices just because, in my opinion, their burgers taste much better. I've seen my fair share of good Wendys', bad Wendys' and Wendys' where crass cashiers with too much make up and hoola hoop for earrings are allowed to engage in crass, insulting and demeaning arguments with their customer and are then protected by their managers. This Wendy's is dead smack in the middle with maybe a few fractions of a degree tilting towards good. Not because they are actually good but because in the fast food industry if you don't majorly suck, you're leaning towards good. I actually went through the drive through and we were helped with a very nice "Thank you for choosing Wendy's, 'can' I take your order" which already beats 99% of other similar establishments and their usual, "Take y'order" greeting. We pulled around, paid and politely were told to pull ahead as one of our items was being "put together". Fair enough. We waited no more than a couple of minutes and our food came right out to our window. Overall a good, fast and accurate experience. Then I realized why Wendy's is known as a BURGER JOINT. I ordered a Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap. The wrapper, for whatever reason was soaked in, what I hoped, was water but fortunately the wrap itself was dry. Not a bad taste except for the actual Caesar dressing which was too strong and salty for my taste. And I love salty food! I also ordered the half Berry Almond Chicken Salad which was a nice portion (I couldn't finish it). It was as decent as any pre-packaged salad with Raspberry syrup disguised as salad dressing can be. The chicken was a little too spiced for me... not spicy, but whatever spices they used for the chicken it just had too much. The entire thing was very bland but exceptionally the blueberries. The salad also had some flat, white, tasteless strips of what I thought was Provolone cheese but turned out to be Asiago. It really didn't add much to the salad. I couldn't detect the almond flavor even though I felt the crunch of the almonds as I chewed. The strawberries on the other hand were nice, big, plump and nicely sweet. At $4.50 thought? I think I overpaid a buck fiddy... From now on, I'm sticking to burger though. read more

This is a pretty decent location. They have fast service and a nice staff. I love the junior bacon cheeseburger as a snack, but the double stack is my favorite. Went through the drive through at 1130 pm and cashier or person who answers drive thru was very rude and short. She also blowed and sighed everytime we said an addition to our order. Then to top it off did not give me a receipt as well as forgot a large friend in my order which she repeated angrily. I will never return to this location and will drive out of my way to another since the service here is consistantly terrible! I went through the drive-through here at the Wendy's in Matthews and feel like I was totally ignored by the associate who worked with me. No I get that my order might be a bit weird. Was here for about an hour with my granddaughter and then went to the drive thru on the way out for wife. Double stack burger was cold so were the fries. No diet caffeine free coke in the drink machine. Dining room was really empty. Shame they just redid this one and it has not improved. When I came here before they had a military discount at check out and when I went to the drive thru they said they didn't .
