All the other reviews on here of my man from Texas and his meat smoking skills is no lie whatsoever. Pulled pork, brisket, smoked wings were something to write home about. On top of the bbq, I really love sauce and his homemade barbecue sauces were slamming as well! Apple bourbon bbq sauce is something I typically wouldn't get but it really surprised me. It almost had an applebutter consistency and was wonderful to dip the brisket in. If you are thinking about stopping by if you are visiting or just passing by... Don't second-guess yourself, stop!

I left still not liking the food and most of my friends didn't either. My husband said the Philly cheesesteak was delicious. But he is the only one who enjoyed his meal lol. The service was extremely slow. The second day our waitress took our drink order, disappeared for 20 minutes and then came back to ask for our food order and we had asked for our drinks and gave her our orders and then she came back like 15 minutes later and said she forgot what we all ordered. There was four of us. About 45 minutes later when three out of four of us got our food I had to ask the waitress where my husbands food was and one said they forgot to put it on the ticket and the other said the kitchen forgot it. (The chef did come and apologize) The food takes almost an hour to get. No matter what you order. It took awhile to get any condiments. Youll have to ask for stuff multiple times. The staff was friendly though. Some old lady fussed at us on the third day because apparently she left her phone there but none of us heard it ringing we had also just gotten there a couple minutes prior ( super weird) i think she was a customer. The tater tots and Cole slaw are really good though.

We were down by Lake Tillery on a job so this was within a reasonable distance. Love the layout and decor in the restaurant. Oh, we picked a shareable for the table and spinach artichoke dip, which was a good choice to split between three people. We still have plenty of our workday left so I opted to go with the grilled salmon and a rather unique side in Mexican street corn.. for my second side I decided to add a house salad with homemade ranch dressing. The salad was a large portion to start with in the flavor of the Mexican corn in the salmon went well together. I made a great choice. The Mexican corn was three short corn on the cobs in a long dish with sauce on top of the corn. Public house is definitely the place to be in Albert mall for lunch dinner or a private event.

We went to Five Points Public house for a weekday lunch and only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. The food was good, the interior architecture is nice to look at, and we will be back. The restaurant is a mix of booths and tables with chairs. You can tell the building is old, but had been tastefully worked into a restaurant by the age on the exposed brick within. The whole front of the restaurant faces one of the main roads for downtown, and has large windows that bring in tons of natural light. This place is good for a date night, a group gathering, or anything in between. There's even some bar seating if that's your thing. Our table got the French dip and a make-your-own burger. The French dip was easily shared by my little and me, as the portion size was large. The build-your-own-burger comes exactly as you want it, cooked to your temperature preference, but I will say the patty could have had more seasoning on it. The onion rings are amazing, and the onion adheres perfectly to the batter. One thing I hope to be able to use in the future is the Pontiac Room, which is their second story event space. They have a nice sign that gives details about the space, and I truly believe it would be good for wedding receptions, large parties, or large group gatherings. I don't know if there is an elevator to this space, so you'd need to check on that should your group have mobility concerns. Overall, this is a place that we will bring the whole crew to in the future.

Had a bbq flavor of sorts that was probably a bit overwhelming for the salmon. Cheese grits on the side were good. Daughter had the filet mignon which she said was perfectly cooked, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. The restaurant obviously aims to please and we didn't complain, just a little more seasoning and this would have been a five star rating. Also a little pricey.

The inside feels like (or is?) part counter restaurant and part antiques store. I knew I had come for a hot dog and the folks behind the counter were patient while I decided on a side item, ultimately settling on onion rings. I hung out until they handed me a paper bag with my order. I had parked right out front so I didn't have far to go to enjoy my lunch. Everything (especially the onion rings) was really hot. The footlong was really good. The dog itself might have been fried and it was great to see pretty full coverage across the full dog. Onion rings were pretty greasy, as evidenced by the dark spot soaking through the paper bag. They were tasty though. I did go back in to ask for an extra couple ketchup packets. If I'm in the area, I'd return to Goody Shop cafe and try some of their other offerings.

To which I replied that I would have to cancel the order as I cannot afford to spend over $20 on lunch when I can go to Wendys and get 3 patties for 7or 8 dollars. Then she said that I should just go to Wendys and get those patties and disconnected the call. I was expecting to spend more than what it would cost me at Wendys but not over 2x as much. Then the rudeness to top it off. Disappointing... I had heard such good things about their food...

Their lot is small, and the surrounding businesses have towing signs, so you might have to wait on a spot to open up. You go inside and see yourself, even if the table hasn't been cleared yet of items from the previous patrons. It's a mix of booths and tables with chairs. We were promptly greeted by a waitress, and she cleaned the tables and took our drink orders. My table got a Charley burger (which just means the patty is larger than the regular ones), two hot dogs, and chicken tenders. The Charley burger was great. I didn't sample the hotdog, but I heard no complaints. That chicken tenders were cooked through, and deliciously crisp. After I finished my whole meal, I thought they had sweet potato pie on the menu, but unfortunately, I did not have room. When we went up to pay, I could see the pie sitting behind the checkout counter, and knew that I should have saved room.
