While dropping my laptop off for repairs, I noticed this Raising Cane's on the right hand side of…read morethe street, It was absolutely unexpected since Raising Cane's usually is more out of the state because I remember having it in Pennsylvania. After dropping off my laptop, I got in my car and drove towards the Raising Cane's in Milford. Upon arriving towards the business the street to even enter into Raising Cane's is a hassle. It's a very busy intersection if you end up missing the turn on the main road. Upon entering this business, I was greeted by a young lady at the register and she was already very friendly, I gave my order and I went to go fill up my cup that I got with my "The Box" Combo. After that I sat down and waited for my food, It was a couple minutes but one of the workers was sweeping around the store so I sparked a conversation with them saying that I used to work fast food so I completely understand that they are just trying to keep the place nice and clean as the worker told me prior that she whipped everything down which I enjoyed. After that I was called up but my food wasn't there, so I just waited at the counter and the young lady that was on the register apologized to me about the inconvenience and I basically nodded and understood and let her know it's alright. As im waiting for my food to be given to me, I notice how the kitchen moves, the communication is a little lack luster which is unfortunate because I remember going to a Raising Cane's in Pennsylvania and the communication was on fire in that place. I feel like im giving them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened up recently in Milford. I was given my food and I went to sit down. Fries were cooked very well and crunchy for crinkle cut, which I enjoyed, a little salty but it was good when I dipped it in the signature Cane's sauce (Listen, hands down, best sauce out there). The texas toast was delicious as always and the chicken was decently cooked, one of which was a little hard to chew, but I had 3 good pieces which I couldn't complain about. Overall, I give this place a go around again and I will be returning when I come back to receive my laptop. Whoever actually had time to read this whole review, please please give this place a try, I know they just opened but just remember Connecticut never had a Raising Cane's so enjoy it while its there, the good reviews will potentially make Raising Cane's build more places around Connecticut, so try them out! -AJ

One thing about Zois is that once you have either the pizza or the chicken fingers first you'll be full to even finish the rest. I order on the Doordash app and the service is quite fast, never had an issue with delivery at all. I never been inside this place but I bet it's such a family run palace that the ambiance is probably absolutely amazing as well. It's a deep, dark red dusting of spices that delivers an intense, lingering heat that will test even the most seasoned chili-heads. Whether you want a quick snack or a full feast, they've mastered every vessel for their crispy, juicy chicken: * The Sandwich: A massive, hefty breast on a potato bun that is widely considered one of the best in New England. * The Wraps & Tenders: Perfectly fried and consistently juicy. * The Sliders: The perfect "middle ground" if you want to mix and match different spice levels in one sitting. The "Must-Have" Sides A hot chicken joint is only as good as its sides, and Haven's are legendary: * Homemade Mac & Cheese: This isn't an afterthought. It's rich, creamy, and features a perfect cheese-to-pasta ratio that acts as the ultimate cooling agent for your palate. * Banana Pudding: This is the "secret weapon" of the menu. It's authentic, layered with fresh bananas and Nilla wafers, and topped with light whipped cream. Many regulars consider it a "side" rather than a dessert because it's the only thing that can truly put out the fire of the higher spice levels! Haven Hot Chicken is a masterclass in balance. Between the crunch of the breading, the customizable heat, and the soul-warming sides, it's a 10/10 experience for any fried chicken lover.

Got delivery and the American cheese on the wrap was still cold like it came out of the fridge. Not one sign of any melt pattern. Then not 1 slice od cheese, not a half. Here we are again with a quarter amount. If it was a blind tasting I would have never guessed this was hot haven. Sad to see the sloppiness and lack a quality.

I visited Dave's Hot Chicken in Hamden just under a month ago for my first experience with the…read morechain, and based on all the positive reviews and hype I'd seen online, I was genuinely looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. I ordered a chicken sandwich and an order of loaded fries topped with chicken bites around 5:30 p.m. At the time, there were only two orders ahead of mine, so I expected a fairly quick wait. As the minutes turned into an hour, I started to get concerned. Around 6:30 p.m., I asked about my order and was told they were still working on it. Meanwhile, I watched multiple customers who had ordered after me receive their food and leave. By around 7:15 p.m., the employee who had originally taken my order noticed I was still waiting and asked if I had received my food. When I told her I hadn't, it took another 10 minutes before my order was finally brought out. By then, I was already late for another commitment and had to take most of my meal to go. The long wait might have been forgivable if the food had been worth it, but it wasn't. Everything was cold. The chicken sandwich was not only cold but also undercooked. The loaded fries were disappointing as well--the fries themselves were barely edible, the cheese sauce was cold, and the chicken on top was cold too. After waiting nearly an hour and a half, receiving food in that condition was incredibly frustrating. The following morning, I left a review, and management responded. I appreciated that they acknowledged my feedback, but the response was little more than a brief apology stating they strive for excellence and thanking me for bringing the issue to their attention. Given the severity of the experience an excessive wait, cold food, and undercooked chickenI expected more than a generic two-sentence reply. A refund, an offer to remake the meal, or even a gift card to give the restaurant another chance would have shown they genuinely cared about making things right. I understand that restaurants have bad days. Looking back, I probably should have been more assertive and spoken with a manager before leaving, but I was already late and didn't have the time. My hope is that this was an isolated experience and not representative of every Dave's Hot Chicken location. Unfortunately, based on this visit and the lack of meaningful follow-up, I have no desire to return. When a customer waits nearly 90 minutes and is served cold, undercooked food, the appropriate response is to make it right not simply apologize and move on.
